Cape Malay Wednesday Evenings:

The timeless Top of the Ritz rotating restaurant captures the art of fine dining, with spectacular views to match.

The Peninsula Hotels’ Cape Malay Evenings takes your sense of taste and smell through one of the culinary cultures the Cape has to offer, with a 3 course meal at R125 per person.

If there’s one iconic restaurant in Cape Town not to be missed, it has to be the Top of the Ritz for three decades; this landmark has pierced the Sea Point skyline, marking the start of the seaside suburb that was once entertainment hub of Cape Town.

ALL ABOARD THE NEW MYCITI SERVICE!

www.capetown.gov.za/myciti or phone the Transport Information Centre on 0800 65-64-63.

The City of Cape Town urges all Capetonians to hop on board the MyCiTi bus this holiday season. “MyCiTi is safe, smart and affordable –a service to be proud of,” says Marvin the MyCiTi mascot. “We look forward to seeing you on board!” Catch the bus to the airport, the Waterfront, the Green Point Urban Park, which is close to Stadium Station, trendy Long Street, and even Milnerton or Blouberg beach. You can take a surfboard or bicycle on board. Starting on 1 December, MyCiTi operates one hour later on Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays. The last departure from the Civic Station is 11pm. On New Year’s Eve, the last departure from the Waterfront is at 1am. The following services are now operational: • The Airport and Civic Centre • Table View, Blouberg and Parklands Gardens, via the entertainment hubs of Loop and Long Streets Before travelling, passengers must get a myconnect card for R23 and load it with value. The amount of R23 is refundable from any MyCiTi station kiosk should you not wish to use the service again - simply hand in the card and receipt. A trip on a residential route, in Table View or in the CBD, costs R5,30, and a trip on the main route between Civic Centre station and Table View costs R10,60. The shorter, R5,30 trips are free when travelled in conjunction with the main route. “Wait for a bus at one of the MyCiTi bus stops, and don’t forget to put our your hand to hail down the bus,” says Marvin.
