As is the norm, October is a wonderful time of year to be on Hilton Head Island! Except for a few recent storms, the weather has been absolutely phenomenal, and the golf courses remain lush and vivid green.

It has certainly been an event-filled month! The 2021 Heritage Member-Guest Golf Invitational was a rousing success, thanks to the herculean efforts of the Heritage Golf Group. Jay and his staff outdid themselves in making this 3-day event exceptionally memorable. Congratulations to Don Muehlbergerand his son-in-law, Frank Dyer, for winning their fourth such event!

Additionally, the Men’s Club Championship and the annual Ryder Cup Challenge were both recently completed. Each was very well organized and exciting; read more about these events in Nigel’s column. Many more special golf and social events will be forthcoming as we approach the end of 2021. Be sure to read this edition of Around the Clubhouse in its entirety and stay tuned as periodic email blasts come your way.

Be advised that we intend to rebalance/reallocate Blocked Tee Times for the member groups. Current tee time allocations, in some cases, are either too great or too few for present demand. Blocked Tee Time allocations vary by season, since weather and travel dramatically impact when and where many of our members play. Revised tee time allocations will take effect in 2022.
