DE Beschaulich geht es beim Saalerwirt am Wallfahrtskirchlein Maria Saalen zu. Einst hatte der Gasthof die wichtige Rolle als Her- berge an der Straße ins Gadertal. Heute verwöhnt Familie Tauber ihre Gäste mit traditionellen Südtiroler Gerichten in originalgetäfelten Zirmstuben von 1730. Die lichtdurchflutete Veranda wird bis heute mit Holz beheizt. Unser Genusstipp: Rückensteak vom Milchkalb mit Röstkartoffeln und Gemüse.

IT A pochi passi dalla chiesetta di Maria Sares e anticamente situato sull’unica strada per la Val Badia, oggi il ristorante Saalerwirt della famiglia Tauber conquista gli ospiti con i piatti autentici e genuini della cucina altoatesina. Tradizionale anche l’ambiente con le stube rivestite in cirmolo originale del 1730 e la luminosa veranda riscalda- ta a legna. Il consiglio dello chef: sella di vitello da latte con patate arrostite e verdure.

EN Next to the romantic Maria Sares pilgrimage church, the Saaler- wirt restaurant was once a bustling hostel and wine tavern, occupying the only street to the Val Badia Valley. Today, the Tauber family spoils guests with traditional South Tyrolean cuisine. Natural simplicity also dominates in the original, pine-panelled Tyrolean lounges dating from 1730. The light-flooded veranda is still heated with wood. Our culinary suggestion: Veal sirloin steak with roastet potatoes and vegetables.
