PROLOGUE

Once upon a me there was a leprechaun named Paddy O’Shamrock. Paddy was in charge of an enormous pot of gold. He kept his gold just underneath the end of a long rainbow. Paddy’s job was to guard the gold un l St. Patrick’s Day, and that was just a week away. One bright March morning Paddy awoke – and the gold was gone! This isn’t the way this is supposed to happen! He ran into the forest shou ng, “The gold is gone. The gold is gone!” Bridget, a brightly colored bird blew over him and chirped down, “Paddy, I see your pot of gold. Ustes, the useless unicorn, is galloping north, carrying a pot of shiny gold on his back.” Paddy just had to get that gold!

Chapter 1: The wild ones By: Michael Krzyston and Jake Leh nen

Paddy was stuck, trying to think of a way to track Ustes , when along came Seamus, the seagull. Seamus told Paddy Ustes went over there by the sea “thanks” Paddy yelled. Paddy went chasing a6er Ustes and he cannon balled into the. Paddy decided to stop at his friends Sponge bob and Patrick’s house. Paddy drank a couple of bo7les of juice that sponge bob gave him. Then they watched the Olympics and saw Ustes cheering in the crowd with the gold in his pouch. Paddy whispered, “Good Bye” to Sponge bob and Patrick. Finally Paddy got to the Olympics and saw Ustes in the arena with Patrick Kane ge9ng an autograph. Paddy cried, “there he is”. Paddy cried for his best friend Voldemort . POP! Voldemort showed up and stole the gold from Ustes and gave it to Paddy. Voldemort le6 and Paddy heard music. In the corner of his eye he spo7ed Beethoven playing victory music. LA LA LA! There was a huge party for Paddy. The teenage Mutant Ninga Turtle with their best friend Perry the Platypus. The party ended early and they were le6 out in the cold bi7er winter of 2014. They needed to leave because it was so cold. They could not bear the frigid weather. Yeah! Paddy had his gold for good, this me. He thought so, anyway.

Chapter 2: The Trouble with the Animals By: Chloe Braswell and Michael Perkins

Paddy hoped to return to his rainbow with his gold, but before he went far he slipped! The pot tumbled down the side of the hill and fell, kersplash! Into the River of Shannon. Now what to do? Paddy whistles and a bunch of leprechauns come. The leprechauns make a bridge across the water. Suddenly, a giant jelly bean whale with a gummy bear riding it, jumps out of the water and eats the pot of gold. Paddy stares at the whale calmly whispering, “But… but… my gold.” The gold shoots out the blowhole, landing next to an old, sleeping, sparkly, magical alligator named Mr. Teddy Bear. Paddy begins to get angry, but falls in the water while tripping on a leprechaun’s hat. The giant jelly bean whale eats paddy. Paddy turns red and becomes furious. He sees SpongeBob and Patrick on the tongue of the whale. SpongeBob and Patrick shout, “I’m a gooby goober, yeah!” The whale slowly grumbles, “Out you go.” It shoots Paddy out its blowhole while the gummy bear eats itself. The gummy bear smacks its mouth while whispering, “Mmm, I taste… om nom… so good. Paddy screams out “THAT GOLD IS AS CRAZY AS A MONKEY WITH NO BANANAS!” Paddy falls in the water five inches from Mr. Teddy Bears snout. The pot of gold is at two feet away from Paddy. Paddy stands s ll not to wake up Mr. Teddy Bear, but Mr. Teddy Bear wakes up and smiles at Paddy. He puts Paddy on his back and trots onto a cliff. Paddy cries, “What have I done?” Mr. Teddy Bear pushes Paddy off the cliff. WOOOSH! Mr. Teddy Bear calmly trots away singing “Leprechauns live like lemmings!” Suddenly, a giant purple and pink unicorn catches Paddy! The unicorn tells Paddy “My name is Captain Purplicious or also known as Kevin.” Kevin looks around then whispers to Paddy, “A bunch of ninja unicorns are a6er me.” Paddy whispers in Kevin’s ear, “Don’t worry, I’ll protect you.” Unexpectedly, numerous amounts of ninja unicorns shoot out of the ground and throw him off another cliff. Paddy shouts out, “Bye… Kevin…” Luckily Seamus, the seagull, saved Paddy. But where is the pot of gold?

Chapter 3 The Gypsies By Jayden Valdez and Ryan Fry Before Seamus, his seagull friend, and Paddy traveled too far, a tribe of Gypsies surrounded them. “What are you doing in our neck of the wood?” they questioned him. Paddy yelled “I’m looking for some gold that I was supposed to guard. I need help!” The gypsies wanted to trick Paddy from getting the gold. They told Paddy that they were the smartest people so they would help him find the gold. But the gypsies lied. The gypsies wanted to trick Paddy and take his gold. Paddy had a feeling the gypsies were lying because he saw them smirk. The gypsies convinced him and Paddy and Seamus accepted their help. They shouldn’t have trusted the gypsies. They pulled a lever and whoosh! A giant cage fell on Paddy and Seamus. “Help”! Paddy and Seamus shouted. All of a sudden, Bridget, the beautiful bird, came out the sky and landed on the ground. She yelled “Boo” and the gypsies ran away. Bridget pulled the lever and the cage flew up. She yelled “Those gypsies are as scared as a cat!” Thank heavens Bridget, the beautiful bird, arrived in the nick of time!

Chapter 4: Everyone Shrinks By: Peter and Munkhbat

Bridget, the beau ful bird showed Paddy and Seamus, the seagull, how to shrink themselves to fit on her back. She flew to the Shannon River and saw the pot of gold floa ng along. Just then, they saw a frog named Fiona taking a drink of the river. And she drank and she drank and she drank. She drank even the pot of gold, and then she hopped away! Bridget had to get the magical supplies to shrink Paddy and Seamus. Then there was a big storm and they all got stuck in the snow. The snow was white as a co7on ball. A plow came and he tugged them out of the hole. They were thrilled to be saved .Then the frog whispered you must hurry. It was almost sundown. They heard a big boom. Paddy and Seamus began to wonder what that boom was. They were nervous about ge9ng hurt. They didn’t see anything so they just climbed up the hill and they got to the magic store. They need to get as small as a seed. Bridget had to leave so they are going to have to find a different way to get to Frog Island. They thought they saw a rock, but it was a frog from Frog Island. They did see a path of rocks to Frog Island and found the pot of gold.

Chapter 5 Bart Dziadkowiec and Ron Ballovci

Paddy and Seamus, Paddy’s friendly seagull, knew they had to find Fiona the frog. She swallowed the pot of gold and then hopped away to Frog Island. As they were thinking, a fishing captain named Connor came by in his row boat. The kraken, a flying giant squid, laid down cake on the shore to lure the captain. The captain loved cake for dinner, lunch, breakfast. Godzilla popped out from a portal and took the kraken. When Godzilla went through the portal a wizard’s staff fell out. Paddy used the staff to summon a dragon to find Fiona the Frog. A skeleton king came and a7acked the dragon. The skeleton king wounded the dragon who fell to the ground. Paddy used the staff to heal the dragon. The skeleton king thought he had won, but when the dragon was healed, the dragon threw the skeleton king through the portal. Connor and Paddy decided that traveling by boat was safer than by dragon, so Paddy and Seamus got in the boat and traveled to Frog Island. When Paddy and Connor and Seamus got to Frog Island they begged Fiona for the gold because they needed it for St. Patrick’s Day. Fiona told them, “Yes,” but she had an evil grin on her face. She cursed the gold so that at sundown it would return to her. Paddy was holding the pot at sundown, but all of a sudden the gold disappeared. And so did Paddy. Paddy and his gold were gone!

Chapter 6 By Anya and Jessica

Conner the fishing captain dropped Seamus, the Seagull off near the woods of Killarney. Paddy and the pot of gold were gone but where? Marry, the magic fairy sat down next to Seamus. “ Id be happy to help,” Marry offered. “Sure, but I need something to catch up to catch up to Ustes . “Wait, can you give me a motorcycle.” Replied Seamus, knowing that Marry can do something. “Really, I can do be7er.” Whispered Marry with a smirk on her face. Then she waved her wand and turned Seamus into a dragon. “I’m scared of dragons!” screamed Conner diving away in his boat. Then standing right there across the woods was Ustes. “Oh no, you be7er – Ahhhhhhhhh” screamed Paddy ge9ng dragged into the woods by a huge Jaguar. The Jaguar was as huge as a mountain “get him !” yelled Seamus. He flung away with Mary and his dragon wing . “There he is!” shouted Mary. Then Seamus scooped Paddy up, then sat on the ground. Then Mary changed Seamus back to a Seagull. “Wow, that was fun!” shouted Seamus smiling a humongous smile. Well, Paddy was back, but Ustes the useless unicorn again had his pot of gold. Seamus had another idea!

Chapter 7: The Devious Plan By Wesam Alzoubi and Bryant Brown

Since Ustes, the unicorn had the gold- again- Paddy O’ Shamrock and Seamus the seagull were getting desperate. St. Patrick’s Day was coming soon. Paddy would be ashamed to show his face to the other leprechauns if he didn’t have his gold to share. Seamus had a great idea about how to catch the unicorn. Seamus told Paddy what his idea was. His idea was to lure Ustes into a cage and drop him into an ice cream Canyon. Then he called his friends the pigeons to help him. They baked a rainbow cake and put a magical potion on it. Now the cake will do whatever Seamus thinks in his head. The pigeons never made it, and therefore the neat plan wouldn’t work. Suddenly Paddy’s friend the Dragon flew by. He lands on the ground and Paddy tells Dragon him to help them with Seamus’s plan. Dragon replied “Yes!” so then he helped him with his plan. They set everything up to trap Ustes. Ustes was running as fast as a cheetah. He saw the cake. He started following the delicious looking desert. Suddenly he was trapped into the cage. Dragon carried him and threw him into the ice cream canyon. Ustes broke the cage, and he flew out of it and took the gold. Dragon was scared and flew away. Ustes was too strong to stay put in the cage. Well, it’s a shame Seamus’s idea didn’t work. Now Ustes had the gold and he was even further away on top of the Wicklow Mountains.

Chapter 8: The Pot By Afnan Kadri and Hooria Sheikh

Ustes the useless unicorn thought if he hid the pot of gold on top of the Wicklow Mountains he’d be safe, but Danu, the queen of the fairies, knew that Paddy, the Leprechaun and Seamus, the seagull, needed help. When Danu reaches Paddy she looks in her magic globe she sees Ustes hiding the pot of gold on top of the Wicklow Mountains. Eventually Danu, Paddy, and Seamus went to the Wicklow Mountains and they found out that Ustes was gone with the pot of gold. Then Danu looks in her magic globe, but her globe was gone! They followed Uste’s footprints, but then his footprints were gone. Instead they were in front of a pond. In front of the pond lay a pot of gold Paddy’s pot of gold. He grabbed it. Also there was Danu’s magic globe. Then they tried to get to get to the other side of the pond. The water was flowing like the wind. Suddenly they heard footsteps. Boom! Boom! Boom! Boom! Just as they were about to leave a group of banshees arrived. They warned Paddy to hold his pot closely- there was more trouble ahead!

Chapter 9: Dagda and Paddy fight for the gold. By: Geena and Ali Paddy had is pot of gold and wanted to hurry back to the rainbow. He and Seamus, the seagull, hadn’t gone far when Dagda, the giant appeared. “Give me the gold,” he bellowed. “No!” Paddy shouted. “Come and try to catch me!” Dagda was as furious as a bear figh ng for food. Dagda ran for Paddy. Dagda stumbled and lost his balance. Paddy reached the gold first and Dagda lost. Paddy had won! The gold was safe in the field and Dagda couldn’t get it. Dagda ran home yelling, “I will get your gold another me!” A6er it got dark Paddy thought the gold was safe, so he crawled into his hole. Creak! The door swooshed open. Then Paddy went to sleep. He slept like a baby. In the morning when Paddy woke up, he went to the fields with Seamus for his pot of gold. “Where is the gold?” Paddy screamed “I don’t know!” cried Seamus. Paddy and Seamus stormed into Dagda’s dungeon. “Give me back my gold!” bellowed Paddy “I told you I would get the gold!” Then Paddy couldn’t find Seamus. No gold. No Seamus. Paddy was all alone.

Chapter 10: Trouble ahead By: Kira and Paris

Seamus, the seagull, was gone and dagda the giant had taken the gold. Paddy was worried about Seamus but he was even more worried because it was almost St. Patrick’s Day and he had lost his pot of gold. As he worried Chie6ain Epona happened by. Epona came to help the giant so she jumped over the bog. A6er that Seamus came playing a beau ful song on the violin. Fog came and he got lost. A BEAUTIFUL fairy came by to help Paddy jump over the bog. She sprinkled magic dust on Paddy so Paddy started prancing over the bog. Unfortunately, it began to rain and rain washed off the magic dust. Paddy started falling “AHH!” Paddy screamed. Squish, went the bog. The fairy heard his scream and magically made a trampoline appear under Paddy, he jumped on it as fast as a cheetah and bounced back to the same side he started on. On the opposite side Ustes and his unicorns lined up laughing at paddy. Ustes pointed at paddy and laughed taun ng “you’ll never get the gold. Paddy was a red as an apple.

Chie6ain Epona and the other horses were gathered on one side of the peat bog. Ustes and the other unicorns were on the other side. Trouble Ahead!

Chapter 11: A6er that Leprechaun! By: Jason Blake and Jack McQuinn

Paddy was so glad Epona and the other horses offered to help get the gold back from Ustes. But now Ustes and the unicorn tribe lined up. They didn’t want to give the gold back. The horses didn’t want to fight, but they wanted to help their friend, Paddy. Paddy needed that gold. He used his first po on, and he turned invisible. He snuck behind the unicorns and ran across a bridge. The bridge was old as an ancient pyramid. The bridge collapsed when he stepped on it. Good thing that below the bridge was a bouncy bunker. Paddy bounced on the magic trampolines. He heard Ustes yell: “A6er that leprechaun!’’ Paddy realized that he wasn’t invisible anymore. The unicorns rushed to the bouncy bunker. The other unicorns didn’t make it but, Ustes did. Ustes didn’t give up, and neither did Paddy. Luckily Paddy had a speed po on. He was as fast as a jaguar. Paddy rushed through the woods and hid the gold so Ustes didn’t find it. Paddy saw Ustes coming. Paddy told Ustes to pick on someone his own size. Paddy also cried “I don’t want you around anymore!” Ustes was so angry that he was no longer wanted. He let out a big “ROAR!” Paddy was surprised and frightened. Paddy ran as fast as possible. ”Phew.’’ Paddy gasped. ‘’Ustes will never find me here. But I will have to bury the gold.’’ He thought. “I hope he doesn’t have eye vision…” he mu7ered. Thank heavens they figured out how to get the gold without a fight! It’s a shame that Ustes thought the leprechauns didn’t want him around.

Chapter 12:The Witch By: Abby and Makhia

Now that Paddy had the pot of gold back he was pre7y happy. Ustes and he could be friends now, too. Ustes offered to give Paddy a ride back to the rainbow. Except ….. they didn’t know which direc on any more. “Where should we go?” Ustes asked Paddy. “How about where ever the rain clouds are? “, Paddy shouted. “OMG!” “What is that? “They shouted at the same me. “It’s the witch and it’s coming a6er us” Paddy worried with fear. The colorful witch flew over Paddy’s head. She grabbed the pot of gold, as quickly as an eagle. Ustes and paddy ran as fast as they could to get the pot of gold back. They ran and they ran un l the witch got red. The witch was pain ng like a dog. She was way too exhausted to run anymore. The witch shouted I will give you the pot of gold for a house. So Paddy offered a house. Ustes shouted, “You must be crazy!” Paddy ignored him. The witch whispered “why should you give me the house when I could pay for it with the pot of gold!” They talked about it and told the witch that the house would be ready soon. They described the house to be as beau ful as a castle. They knew the colorful witch loved candy, so they convinced her that it would be built with all kinds of tasty sweets. The witches’ eyes widened with delight, “yummy, “you mean I can take about whenever I would like. Paddy and Ustes knew she would trade and give the pot of gold back for a house full of candy. So, she ended up ge9ng the house and ustes and paddy got their pot of gold back. They looked up and shouted “we ran so much that we are almost there. “ Up ahead ustes and paddy saw the many colors. “We’re almost home “Paddy shouted.

Chapter 13: St. Patrick’s Day Danielle Esposi o and Sabrina Wong

Paddy and his pot of gold rode with Ustes, now the most useful unicorn. They galloped across the fields-it was St. Patrick’s Day! Would they get back in me to share the gold with the others? They thought they could make it, BUT there was one more problem… In a puff of smoke, Alice the wizard was about to freeze me. Before she could move her wand, she told them she never liked Ustes. Out of nowhere, Donald the merman flipped and stole her wand. Alice was frustrated with Donald, so Paddy and Ustes began running toward the forest. They wanted to get away from all the chaos. Ustes had spread his wings as wide as an eagle .Paddy couldn’t wait to get to his friends. Paddy was happy and dancing the way he does when he gets happy. Paddy was tapping his feet and clapping his hands. Well, the gold arrived in me and Paddy was relieved. Seamus the seagull, Bridget the beau ful bird, Fionna the frog, Chie6ain Epona and the horses, Ustes and his unicorns, Danu and the fairies all celebrated with the leprechaun.

EPILOGUE

There were leprechauns, and giants, good fairies and seagulls, po ons and magic, gold and Banshees. The story of Paddy and his pot of gold would make an exci ng movie, don’t you think? But, Paddy is not really interested in becoming a movie star. Making movies could never be as exci ng as living in your imagina on, trying to dream about how a leprechaun could protect a pot of gold! And anyway, Paddy said that NEXT year he is going to Hawaii for St. Patrick’s Day.

The End.
