FOUNDER’S LETTER
In 2021, Hilton & Hyland once again led our key luxury markets in Los Angeles with a 31% market share of sales priced $20 million and above, a 23% market share of sales priced $10 million and above, and a 19% market share of sales priced $5 million and above. Our single office of operations in Beverly Hills closed an incredible 82 sales priced $10 million and above in 2021 including half of the top 10 sales in the city. This helped drive our annual sales volume to a record $4 billion with the 2021 Real Estate Almanac ranking Hilton & Hyland as the top-producing office by average price per transaction at $6.87 million. Jeff and I were incredibly proud of our elite firm’s solidarity and productivity as we once again broke new ground even with the constant challenges the pandemic continued to bring us. With yet another banner year behind us, the future seemed bright as we confidently headed into 2022 and began preparing for this report. However, on Wednesday February 16th, we lost Jeff Hyland. He had been privately battling cancer with his loving wife Lori Hyland forever at his side. Nearly thirty years ago, Jeff and I started on this journey. Throughout, a great partnership and a deep friendship were forged, and Hilton & Hyland emerged as a force in the industry. Jeff was a legend. His knowledge about real estate and architecture was unparalleled. I’d often joke that what Jeff had forgotten exceeded what most agents would ever learn. My heart is broken. The loss of our friend, partner, and visionary is painful. With Jeff’s passing we will honor his legacy and continue the course. Hilton & Hyland remains united, and we thank you for your continued trust in us.

The Los Angeles Ronald McDonald House provides families with a safe and supportive place to stay while their child undergoes treatment for critical illness or injuries at local hospitals. For over 30 years more than 30,000 families have stayed at the Los Angeles Ronald McDonald House during their time of need.

Celebrating 60 years, Young Musicians Foundation (YMF) exists to unify communities through exceptional classical music experiences for youth. We provide performance opportunities through our Debut Orchestra and Chamber Music Series; scholarships for instrumental instruction; and music education for students ages four through 17.
