Electronic books
It costs too much to strage books made of papers because locations are required. Therefore this will not sell out of print after the other. A few popular books account for most of the profits. On the other hand, in electronic books, a long tail part earns the majority of the profit because of the storage costs are not needed for this.

Recently the digitization of books has been in progress significantly and books are beyond just being read. Electronic books contain how to conceal them in contact with non-reading general understanding that recognizes the enumeration of certain characters in the book, each to imagine its contents. There will be a new value of "book."

If the electronic books, the information can be added to the scene, characters or pages. By using this advantage and web properties, we can share each impression about books with others and enjoy the reading and experience a new understanding. Electronic books are also closely linked with SNS like twitter or facebook, so Some people attempt to have a social function this electronic books themselves.

Augmented reality. AR is the technology to attatch information in the real environment by using a computer. We can see it through the display. Especially by the spread of the smart phone, many applications with AR technology like Wikitude or Sekai Camera have emerged. This has been linked with GPS system and we can read our position information.

This system, called non-contact power transmission, can send power to the electronic devices without using the charge equipment, and we can use them permanently. It is possible for wireless charge to charge the quantity of electricity in the home now, and all electronic devices will be able to charge wireless in 2030.
The concept of audio books was from the era of the cassette tape, and now electronic media tend to associate with the audio data because of the spread of the Internet. A girl reading which is one of the app from Otobanku Corporation has been sold. Electronic books handle as an audio data and we can "hear" the book easily.
Tangible changed the concept of an existing computer. It is an interface to come into direct contact with information which do not have form and but have a sense of more entities, so it further shorten the distance between human and computer.

System】 Each individual bookshelf will be marked in the space itself by the GPS. We can watch other’ s information on bookshelf by using AR, and there will be expanded social network. On the other hand, this bookshelf includes locality, so we need phisicality to go to the bookshelf.
System】 By developped speech recognition system, all the sound is all visualized. The voice or music near the theater or the voices of the people in the field are converted as text or notes. In addition, by being visualized, a story will be born in the words, or it is easy to accumulate the words as the data.
Form】 Become ruins. In buildings on this circle, their walls, floors and ceilings are erased. There is external space.
Form】 Buildings on this circle is rotated 5° clockwise which is relative to the center point of the circle.
Landing
System】 This hill runs the center of the site. This hill’ s ups and downs afford people to "sit"or "lie" and give a positive freedom. In addition, the operation of another layer include the possibility to form a groove and shift suddenly or to produce an unusual terrain. Form】 A gentle hill with a height of 4.5m from the east towards the west.
Viewing
System】 We can see Mt. Hiei from this site of the east side. Considering this site, the landscape win the buildings while buildings would have won the landscape in general. Form】 Generate the missing sector. Walls and ceilings of the buildings in this area are made of glass material.
Listening
Walking
System】 Over the electronic media, books will be over data. Therefore books will transcend the concept of reading as themselves. Character data in a book is converted into voice data by transferring the book data, and we can listen to the book. This makes us to find new physical relation between books and people who have been freed by sight and both hands.
System】 Aristotles had an academic or philosophical debate with his disciples while walking the promenade of Ryukeion once. What we consider something while walking is very good and also in brain physiology. Here, characters are projected on the road itself, and we can walk with reading. Here can be accessed from the ground line of the building.

Form】 3m road width, groove depth of 3m.

Transcending
System】 Tangible User Interface has been led by Professor Hiroshi Ishii of MIT. This is an intuitive interface that can be perceived in the operation by physically touch the device. This mechanism is applied to the wall.
ă€?System】 We can have a transcendental perspective view in the grounds. This meta level field form a relationship between “seeâ€? and “seenâ€? at the position of this place and the one to act by myself. This makes us to recognize their own action again.
Form】 Consists of 20cm thick walls and roof.
Form】 Become ruins. The walls, floor and ceiling of the buildings on this circle are erased. External space. 3m wide.
