The Wizard of Oz was quite central to my childhood experiences. The classic Hollywood film captured my imagination as a kid, and reading L. Frank Baum’s classic book, and seeing the 1970’s film version of The Wiz, starring Diana Ross as Dorothy and Michael Jackson as the Scarecrow also had a deep impact on me. This timeless tale of friendship, family and love delivers a powerful message: the things which we seek in life are actually already inside of us—we just need to look to within ourselves and find what we are looking for.
For the Asian premiere of The Wizard of Oz, we have incorporated scores of new arts technologies into the production immersing audiences into this colourful world of flying monkeys, dramatic tornados and magical ruby slippers. From LED walls to holographic projections, up-to-the-minute motion-capture technology and dramatic surround sound effects, we hope to transport you into the heart of the action along with Dorothy and friends.
We’ve also developed a wide variety of interactive exhibitions, events and workshops designed to celebrate this vibrant production but also to engage and educate the public about new advances in arts technologies. We’ve partnered with Airside mall for the virtual and mixed reality Oz Life Journey, and we’ve worked with a creative technology studio The Collective to construct an interactive arts tech Emerald City at the ground floor foyer of Hong Kong Cultural Centre, with multiple interactive elements. We’ve engaged students from and Hong Kong Baptist University (HKBU) in developing aspects of the project to ensure Hong Kong students get real-world, hands-on experience in creating new works which incorporate the latest technologies, and we’ve hosted a whole series of community events, including talks, workshops, and a special interactive ArtsTech Petting Zoo under HKB UpClose series.
It’s been exciting to develop so many layers of connectivity with the Hong Kong community, while producing what we hope will be a thrilling theatrical experience. We are so glad you’ve joined us for the journey down the Yellow Brick Road, and we wish you a thrilling and unforgettable adventure to Oz!
《綠野仙蹤》對我的童年回憶非常 重要，是不可或缺的角色。經典荷 里活電影在我小時候就深深吸引 我，給予我許多幻想空間，而李曼． 法蘭克．鮑姆的著作，以及上世紀 七十年代由戴安娜．羅絲（飾桃樂 絲）及米高．積遜（飾稻草人）領銜 主演的《新綠野仙蹤》電影，更對我 的人生留下深遠的影響。故事中有 關友情、家庭及愛的永恆主題更是 震撼人心，傳遞一個重要信息：心 之所求，其實早已藏心中，只要用 心探尋，便可獲得所願。
亞洲首演《綠野仙蹤》糅合各色各 樣的藝術和科技結合的元素，讓觀 眾全情投入色彩繽紛的故事場景 裏，與飛天猴、巨型龍捲風及魔法 紅鞋作伴。我們運用了 LED 大屏幕、 全像投影、動態捕捉技術及逼真的 環迴聲效，希望讓觀眾猶如身臨其 境，與桃樂絲及她的朋友們一同 歷險。
我們同時舉辦了一連串與《綠野 仙蹤》有關的外展教育活動，讓 大眾更了解投入此動感非凡的製 作，展示藝術科技的新貌。包括與 AIRSIDE 合辦的《綠野仙蹤．人生歷 奇》沉浸式芭蕾藝術科技體驗，亦 和創意科技工作室 The Collective 製作，於香港文化中心大堂設置 藝術科技的互動展覽。此外，我們 邀請香港浸會大學參與舞台製作 過程，提供創新的動態捕捉技術， 讓學生能獲得應用最新科技創作 的實踐經驗。我們一向深受歡迎的 「港芭零距離」系列亦設有講座及 工作坊、「藝術科技體驗園」等等。 非常榮幸能夠有多方面的合作機 會，與社區建立聯繫。最後，感謝 各位觀眾與我們一起踏上黃磚路 的旅程，見證這場令人振奮的劇場 體驗，祝你有一趟刺激難忘的歷險 之旅！
ACT I: KANSAS
It is morning on Uncle Henry and Aunt Em’s farm in Kansas and the farmhands goof off between chores, ignoring Dorothy, who feels unappreciated and dreams of a place far away. Their unpleasant neighbour Miss Gulch arrives to complain about Dorothy’s little dog, Toto, and threatens to take him away. Toto escapes, and Dorothy runs away with him. On the road, Dorothy meets a showman, Professor Marvel, who urges her to return to the farm as a twister approaches.
桃樂絲與亨利叔叔及艾姆姨姨一起生活在肯薩 斯的一個農場裡。一天早上，農場工人都在偷 懶，桃樂絲覺得被冷待，心思在白日夢中神遊遠 方。愛生事的鄰居吉祖小姐來到，投訴桃樂絲養 的小狗多多，威脅要將牠帶走。多多跑掉，桃樂 絲在追趕牠的路上遇上馬霍博士，博士說龍捲 風正要來襲，叫桃樂絲趕快回去農場。
ACT II: THE TWISTER & MUNCHKINLAND
第二幕：龍捲風及蒙比金國
Dorothy is lifted into the sky by the twister and travels for what seems like an eternity. Suddenly she plops to the ground with a thud. The twister has taken her to the Land of Oz, where she meets the Munchkins and Glinda, the Good Witch of the North. Dorothy’s bed has fallen upon the Witch of the East, killing her and freeing the Munchkins from her power. As the Munchkins celebrate, the Wicked Witch of the West arrives to claim her sister’s magical ruby slippers and avenge her sister’s death. But in a flash, the ruby slippers appear on Dorothy’s feet, thwarting the Witch…for the moment. Dorothy wants to go home to Kansas. The Munchkins tell Dorothy that surely the Wizard of Oz will help her, and she sets off down the Yellow Brick Road towards the Emerald City to find him.
桃樂絲被龍捲風捲上半空，吹到很遠很遠的地 方。她突然砰一聲跌到地上，原來龍捲風將她吹 到奧兹國，她在當地認識了善良的北國女巫葛琳 達，以及被邪惡的東國女巫統治的蒙比金一族。

ACT III: ALONG THE YELLOW BRICK ROAD 第三幕：黃磚路上
Along the way, Dorothy and Toto meet three new friends who need help: a Scarecrow whose head is full of straw and wants a brain; a Tin Man with an empty chest and pines for a heart and a Lion who is afraid of his own tail, and is desperate for courage. Dorothy invites them to join her to see if the Wizard can help them too. When the Wicked Witch fails to intimidate Dorothy and her friends, she creates a beautiful field of poppies whose scent is poisonous. Glinda causes it to snow, and the poppies melt away, revealing the gates of Emerald City. Dorothy and her friends boldly knock on the gates, but the Guard with the Green Whiskers and his Assistant send them away.
桃樂絲與多多在路上認識了三位新朋友，分別 是腦袋裝滿稻草，想擁有腦袋的稻草人、身心空 洞，希望擁有一顆心的鐵皮人，以及害怕自己尾 巴，渴望擁有勇氣的膽小獅，桃樂絲邀請他們同 行，希望看看奧兹大王能否也幫助他們。西國壞 女巫在途中試着嚇退一行人但失敗，她變出美麗 的罌粟花田，花兒散發有毒的香氣，但被葛琳達 變出的大雪融化掉。桃樂絲來到翡翠城的城門， 與朋友們大膽叩門，但被留着綠色鬍子的守衛及 他的助手趕走。

ACT IV: THE EMERALD CITY
第四幕：翡翠城
The Guard sees that Dorothy is wearing the ruby slippers and assumes she must be a person of great importance. He welcomes the friends into Emerald City. As they are preparing to meet the Wizard, the Witch flies by with another warning to Dorothy: give her those slippers! Unsettled, the group is led into the Wizard’s throne room where they ask for his help. He tells them that to prove themselves worthy of his assistance they must bring him the Wicked Witch of the West’s broomstick.
守衛見桃樂絲穿着紅鞋，認為她一定是個大人 物，便請眾人入城。當他們準備拜見奧兹大王 時，西國壞女巫再度現身，威嚇桃樂絲交出紅 鞋！桃樂絲拒絕，一行人來到奧兹大王的覲見 廳，請大王伸出援手。奧兹大王說為了證明他們 值得協助，他們必須獻上壞女巫的掃帚。
ACT V: WINGED MONKEYS AND THE WITCH’S CASTLE
第五幕：飛天猴及女巫城堡
Dorothy and her friends depart hastily, and as they make their way to the Witch’s Castle, they are set upon by the Witch’s Winged Monkeys, who capture Dorothy. The Scarecrow, Tin Man and Lion sneak into the castle to try to free Dorothy and Toto, who have been imprisoned by the Witch and the Winkies, her slaves. Amid the chaos, the Witch makes a grab for the ruby slippers, and Dorothy defends herself by throwing a bucket of water on the Witch, who melts into nothingness. The friends take her broomstick and return to Emerald City.
桃樂絲與朋友們急急離開翡翠城，向西國壞女 巫城堡進發。壞女巫派出飛天猴在路上攻擊他 們，捉走了桃樂絲。被壞女巫勞役的永基族人將 桃樂絲及多多關在城堡，稻草人、鐵皮人及膽小 獅潛入城堡，嘗試拯救他們。在混亂之際，壞女 巫出手要搶走紅鞋，桃樂絲往壞女巫身上潑一 桶水，她便消失得無影無蹤。桃樂絲與朋友們拿 走壞女巫的掃帚，回去翡翠城。
ACT VI: THE HUMBUG AND DOROTHY’S RETURN HOME
第六幕：騙子與桃樂絲的回家路
In the Throne Room, the Wizard is reluctant to help Dorothy and her friends when Toto discovers a befuddled man behind an emerald wall: it turns out that the Wizard is a humbug. He’s not a wizard at all but an ordinary man from Kansas who found himself in Oz after he lost control of his hot air balloon. The Scarecrow, Tin Man and Lion impatiently remind him that he promised to help them, but the Wizard points out that they don’t need his help—they have already shown brains, heart and courage beyond measure. As for Dorothy, he tells her that he will take Toto and her to Kansas himself in his hot air balloon. As they prepare to depart, Toto runs off, and Dorothy chases him, but it’s too late—the wind has already taken the Wizard away in the balloon, leaving Dorothy and Toto behind.
Glinda appears, telling Dorothy that her ruby slippers will take her home. Dorothy says farewell to her friends and with the aid of the slippers wills herself home.
Dorothy awakens to find herself at home in Kansas with Toto asleep at her feet.
回到覲見廳，奧兹大王拒絕幫助桃樂絲與她的 朋友。多多在一幅綠牆後發現一個迷迷糊糊的 男人：原來眼前的奧兹大王是個毫無法力的騙 子，只是來自肯薩斯的一個凡人，乘着失控的熱 氣球飄到了奧兹國。稻草人、鐵皮人及膽小獅心 急地提醒他曾許下承諾，但奧兹大王說他們展 示出無可匹敵的才智、愛心及勇氣，根本不需要 他幫助。奧兹大王提出駕駛熱氣球帶桃樂絲和 多多回肯薩斯。當他們準備起飛時，多多突然跑 掉，桃樂絲追趕牠，但太遲了——熱氣球載着奧 兹大王乘風而去，遺下了桃樂絲和多多。
葛琳達告訴桃樂絲她的紅鞋會帶她回家。桃樂絲 向朋友們道別，在紅鞋的指引下決心踏上回家路。
桃樂絲在肯薩斯的家中醒過來，多多在她腳邊 熟睡。 FINIS 全劇完
SCARECROW 稻草人
The Scarecrow meets Dorothy as she makes her way to the magical Emerald City and joins her on the adventure of a lifetime. He is a kind and loyal friend who wants to ask the Wizard of Oz to give him a brain in place of his straw.
稻草人遇上了前往翡翠城途中的桃樂絲，並 加入了她的冒險之旅。他是個既善良又忠誠的 朋友，渴望奧兹大王賜給他一個充滿智慧的 腦袋。
DOROTHY 桃樂絲
Dorothy is a brave young girl from Kansas who is whisked away to the magical land of Oz by a tornado, along with her little dog Toto. She must journey down the Yellow Brick Road to Emerald City to ask the Wizard of Oz to help her get back home.
桃樂絲是一位來自肯薩斯農場、充滿勇氣與毅 力的女孩。她和小狗多多被龍捲風捲進了神奇 的奧兹國，必須沿着黃磚路前往翡翠城，請求 奧兹大王幫助回家。
COWARDLY LION
膽小獅
He looks fierce and powerful, but the Cowardly Lion is actually frightened of many things. Dorothy invites him along to Emerald City, where the Lion wants to ask the Wizard of Oz for courage. Along the way, he demonstrates bravery and resilience amidst conflicts and triumphs.
膽小獅看起來兇猛威武，但其實總是擔驚受 怕。桃樂絲邀請他一起前往翡翠城，膽小獅 希望向奧兹大王取得勇氣。在歷險旅程中，膽 小獅面對種種的困難與挑戰，展現出勇敢和 堅韌。
TIN MAN
鐵皮人
The Tin Man hopes to get a heart from the Wizard but already shows himself to naturally have a lot of care and concern for his traveling companions as they travel to Emerald City together, facing off against the Wicked Witch of the West and narrowly avoiding a deadly trap.
鐵皮人希望從奧兹大王那裡獲得一顆心，但其 實在他們一起前往翡翠城，對抗西國壞女巫的 驚險過程中，已經充分表現出對同伴的關懷。
THE WICKED WITCH OF THE WEST 西國壞女巫
The Wicked Witch of the West and her army of Winged Monkeys will stop at nothing to get Dorothy’s magical ruby slippers. She creates a poisonous field of poppies to prevent the friends from reaching Emerald City. After underestimating Dorothy’s courage and power, the witch unexpectedly meets her demise.
西國壞女巫和她的飛天猴大軍為了得到桃樂絲 神奇的紅寶石鞋而不擇手段。她製造了一片有 毒的罌粟花田，阻止桃樂絲與朋友們到達翡翠 城。壞女巫低估了桃樂絲的勇氣和力量，意外地 被殺死了。

PIERCE 馬修．皮爾斯 Music 音樂
Matthew Pierce is celebrated for his new classical scores commissioned and performed by major American ballet companies. Born in Brooklyn in 1968, Pierce grew up in Seattle, studied violin at the Peabody Conservatory in Baltimore and moved to New York where he began writing music for the theatre. Alice (in wonderland), with choreography by Septime Webre has been produced by 13 companies with more than 100 performances. The Wizard of Oz is the fifth full length production with this longtime collaborator.

Michael B. Raiford is a Scenic and Costume designer based in Austin, Texas. His scenic designs for The Wizard of Oz were honoured by the Benois de la Danse at the Bolshoi Ballet. He has designed for many ballet companies, including Kansas City Ballet, Colorado Ballet, Ballet Austin, Royal Winnipeg Ballet, Oklahoma City Ballet and Nevada Ballet Theatre. Some of his other favourite work has been for Opera Boston, Central City Opera, South Coast Repertory theatre, Actors Theatre of Louisville and the Alliance Theatre in Atlanta. Raiford also directed the national tour of Blast: The Music of Disney in Japan.

Liz Vandal is a renowned costume designer, design teacher, and speaker for international organizations. Beginning her career as a self-taught fashion designer in 1988, she has infused originality into dance, circus, and film. Vandal has collaborated with prominent choreographers, including Edouard Lock and Marie Chouinard. Notably, she designed costumes for Cirque du Soleil’s OVO and Cirque Eloize’s Cirkopolis and Le Géant. She created 3,000 costumes for the 2015 European Games’ closing ceremony. Since 1989, Trad has been designing scenery and lighting professionally for theatre, dance and amusement parks. His recent credits include Always… Patsy Cline, Into The Woods and Midsummer Night’s Dream for the Idaho Shakespeare Festival, George Balanchine’s Jewels for Kansas City Ballet, Jekyll & Hyde for Colorado Ballet and world premiere ballets for Andrea Schermoly and Marika Brussel.
Over the years, his dance lighting has been seen at American Ballet Theatre, National Ballet of Canada, Hong Kong Ballet, Atlanta Ballet, The Joffrey Ballet, Kansas City Ballet, Colorado Ballet, Royal Winnipeg Ballet, Alberta Ballet, Ballet X and BalletMet, among others.

Aaron Rhyne’s designs have been seen on stages around the world in musicals, plays, operas, dance performances and immersive experiences. He designed the Broadway, touring, and international productions of Anastasia, for which he won a Drama Desk and Outer Critics Circle Award for Outstanding Projection Design. Other projects include Hasan Minhaj’s The Kings Jester world tour and Netflix special, the Broadway productions Bonnie and Clyde, The Sound Inside, and the Tony award winning A Gentleman’s Guide to Love and Murder, as well as multiple projects for Disney’s Parks, Resorts and Cruise Lines. His operas include The Thirteenth Child at Santa Fe Opera, The Ghosts of Versailles at LA Opera, among others.

Nicholas Mahon is an Emmy-nominated puppet and theatrical designer specialising in performer interactive pieces and character creation. Since 2004 he has worked on projects for Michael Curry Design, Walt Disney Entertainment, Broadway, The Jim Henson Company, Blue Man Group and many more. His most recent projects include the 2018 Winter Olympics Opening Ceremony (Pyeonchang), Little Shop Of Horrors (NYC 2019), Sesame Street Television (2013-present) and Islamic Solidarity Games Opening Ceremony (Baku 2017). His work on the Baku 2015 European Games Opening Ceremony as Scenic Designer was nominated for a Daytime Emmy.

Kristi Capps is currently a rehearsal director for Kansas City Ballet and has been given the opportunity to be the repetiteur for many of the company’s productions, including Devon Carney’s Sleeping Beauty for Ballet Hawaii, Cincinnati Ballet and Grand Rapids Ballet and Victoria Morgan’s Cinderella, Edwaard Liang’s Wunderland and Helen Pickett’s Petal. Additionally, she has staged Septime Webre’s The Wizard of Oz for Kansas City Ballet, Colorado Ballet, Royal Winnipeg Ballet, Cincinnati Ballet and Nevada Ballet. Previously, she was a Principal Dancer with Cincinnati Ballet performing leading roles in major classical and contemporary productions both within the company and abroad.

Erina NODA 野田繪里奈
Repetiteur 排演
A native of Yokohama, Japan, Erina spent the majority of her performing career with Cincinnati Ballet, where she danced many works from Septime Webre, Val Caniparoli, Victoria Morgan and George Balanchine. After leaving Cincinnati Ballet, she was a leading soloist with the Broadway musical The Phantom of the Opera for seven years. Erina was a faculty member for the Academy of Cincinnati Ballet and Academy of Nevada Ballet Theatre, as well as many other arts organisations throughout the country. She served as artistic director for an annual benefit gala Hope in Las Vegas from 2008-2016.

Julian PELLICANO 朱利安．佩利卡諾

Known for his versatility across a broad spectrum of genres, dynamic interpretations and meticulous technique, American-Canadian conductor Julian Pellicano has been recently appointed to the conducting staff of the National Ballet of Canada and is Music Director of Canada’s Royal Winnipeg Ballet. Julian served as associate conductor of the Winnipeg Symphony Orchestra from 2013–2024, and as a guest he has conducted orchestras and ballet companies across North America and abroad. Julian studied conducting at the Yale School of Music and percussion at the Peabody Conservatory, the Royal College of Music in Stockholm, Sweden and at the Yale School of Music. He also holds a degree in philosophy from The Johns Hopkins University.

The Hong Kong Philharmonic Orchestra (HK Phil) is regarded as one of the leading orchestras in Asia. Collaborating with internationally renowned conductors and soloists, the orchestra presents more than 150 concerts annually, attracting more than 200,000 music lovers. The HK Phil promotes the work of Hong Kong and Chinese composers, commissions new works, nurtures local talent and runs extensive education and community programmes. Tarmo Peltokoski will become the HK Phil’s Music Director beginning in the 2026/27 season, after serving as Music Director Designate in 2025/26. Currently, Long Yu serves as Principal Guest Conductor, Lio Kuokman is the Resident Conductor, and Daniele Gatti is the Artistic Partner. The HK Phil has flourished in the last two decades under Jaap van Zweden (Music Director, 2012–2024) and Edo de Waart (Artistic Director and Chief Conductor, 2004–2012). In 2019, the HK Phil won the prestigious Gramophone Orchestra of the Year Award – the first orchestra in Asia to receive this accolade from the UK classical music magazine. Notable recent recording projects include Wagner’s complete Ring Cycle, Mahler’s Symphony no. 10, Shostakovich’s Symphony no. 10, and Tchaikovsky’s Symphony no. 6 and Piano Concerto no. 1.

Hong Kong Ballet (HKB) is recognised internationally as a world-class institution that represents Hong Kong's unique character. Since its inception in 1979, HKB has evolved into a vibrant performing arts organisation with a dynamic repertoire, forward-thinking community engagement initiatives and an emphasis on excellence.
Comprised of 50 dancers from all over the globe – Hong Kong, Mainland China and other parts of Asia, Australia, New Zealand, Europe and North America, HKB has won recognition both regionally and internationally. With celebrated re-stagings of the classics, neoclassical masterworks by George Balanchine and others and original ballets created for HKB and about Hong Kong. Additionally, HKB performs works by some of today’s most sought-after choreographers, including Alexei Ratmansky, Christopher Wheeldon, Wayne McGregor, Justin Peck, Jiří Kylian, Nacho Duato and Annabelle Lopez Ochoa as well as innovative new works by its Choreographer-in-Residence, Hu Song-wei Ricky, and numerous emerging Hong Kong choreographers.
With almost 50 tours to 11 countries, HKB has recently toured throughout Europe, the US and Asia and places a special emphasis on representing Hong Kong in Mainland China and the West. HKB maintains the newly renamed Hong Kong Academy of Ballet, a professionally-oriented ballet school, as well as a full schedule of award-winning community programmes and crossover collaborations throughout Hong Kong to ensure ballet is accessible to all. HKB has also produced engaging original videos and dance films that have collectively garnered over 10 million views online, connecting with ballet lovers worldwide.
香港芭蕾舞團（港芭）以富香港獨 有魅力、非凡作品及超卓演繹享譽 國際。自 1979 年以來港芭不斷演 變，現已成為一個朝氣蓬勃的藝 團，着重卓越的品質，擁有豐富的 劇目及具前瞻性的社區拓展計劃。
港芭有 50 位來自世界各地的精英 舞者，包括來自香港、中國內地、 亞洲地區、澳洲、新西蘭、歐洲和 北美等地，近年贏得海內外各方的 支持和肯定。演出劇目涵蓋多齣重 製的古典瑰寶、巴蘭欽的新古典傑 作、特別為港芭編創的長篇芭蕾舞 及具香港特色的作品，亦會不時演 出當今舞壇星級編舞家如羅曼斯 基、惠爾頓、麥葛萊格、佩克、季利 安、杜亞陶及奧喬亞等的傑作，包 括駐團編舞家胡頌威和香港新晉編 舞家的作品。
港芭至今進行了近 50 次世界巡演， 足跡遍及 11 個國家，近年到訪地方 包括歐洲、美國及亞洲，並代表香 港成為中國內地及西方的重要文 化藝術據點。港芭培訓項目改稱 為「香港芭蕾舞學院」，是一所專 門培訓專業舞者的芭蕾舞學校。 此外，港芭亦在全港各地舉辦一 系列屢獲殊榮的社區活動及跨界 合作演出，務求將芭蕾舞普及化。 港芭又製作了多部原創錄像及舞 蹈影片於不同網上平台播放，累積 逾千萬觀看次數，連繫世界各地的 芭蕾舞愛好者。

香港芭蕾舞團藝術總監
Septime Webre is an internationally recognised ballet director, choreographer, educator and advocate. He joined Hong Kong Ballet as its Artistic Director in July 2017 after 17 years as Artistic Director of The Washington Ballet in Washington DC, US. Previously he served as Artistic Director of the American Repertory Ballet, based in Princeton, New Jersey, US for six years. In addition, Webre has served as the Artistic Director of Halcyon, a Washington DC-based foundation standing at the intersection of creativity and social impact.
Webre’s tenure at The Washington Ballet ushered in a period of unprecedented growth in the quality and breadth of its work-both onstage and in its engagement and educational initiatives, with its annual budget growing over 500% during that time. In Hong Kong, Webre has staged Romeo + Juliet set in the early 1960’s Hong Kong, and The Nutcracker set in Hong Kong in the early 20th century. Other HKB productions include Giselle , ALICE (in wonderland) , The Great Gatsby and Peter Pan
As a dancer, Webre was featured in solo and principal roles from the classical repertoire as well as in contemporary works by choreographers such as Twyla Tharp, Paul Taylor and Merce Cunningham. He has served on the juries of a number of international ballet competitions, including those in Varna, Bulgaria, Istanbul, Cape Town, New York, Seoul, and elsewhere. He has served on the board of Dance/USA and his work has received numerous honors, grants and awards. He holds a degree in History/Pre-Law from the University of Texas at Austin, and is the seventh son in a large, boisterous Cuban-American family.
衛承天是國際著名芭蕾舞團總 監、編舞家、教育家及倡導者。他 曾出任華盛頓芭蕾舞團藝術總監 達 17 年，亦曾任美國新澤西普林 斯頓美國經典芭蕾舞團藝術總監， 並於 2017年 7月加入香港芭蕾舞團 （港芭）擔任藝術總監。他曾是美 國華盛頓一基金會 Halcyon 的藝術 總監，其宗旨為透過創意推動文創 發展，同時為社會帶來正面影響。
衛承天在任華盛頓芭蕾舞團期間， 舞團預算大增 500%，並在舞台製 作的規模和質素、專業舞蹈教學 等多個範疇上獲得前所未有的提 升。他近年為港芭全新創作包括： 以 1960 年代香港作背景的《羅密 歐 + 茱麗葉》和以二十世紀初香 港作背景的《胡桃夾子》。衛承天 亦曾為港芭製作《吉賽爾》、《愛 麗絲夢遊仙境》、《大亨小傳》和 《小飛俠》等多個劇目。
作為一位舞者，衛承天曾擔任多齣 古典舞劇的主角及獨舞，並曾出演 夏普、泰勒及肯寧漢等編舞家的當 代作品。他也曾任瓦爾納、保加利 亞、伊斯坦堡、開普敦、紐約、首 爾等地多個國際芭蕾舞比賽的評 審。他曾任「舞蹈/美國」的董事 局成員，其作品更獲得多項榮譽、 資助及獎項。他持有奧斯汀德薩 斯大學的歷史/法律學士學位，在 一個熱鬧的古巴裔美國大家庭中 排行第七。

Before the exciting National Day Fireworks Display against the backdrop of Hong Kong’s renowned Victoria Harbour, Hong Kong Ballet (HKB) will perform glamorous and signature ballet excerpts that include a very special World Premiere of Tutu Academy and other lively pieces at Ocean Terminal Rooftop Car Park.

Every Saturday in September, HKB will host a ballet camp for children ages 4 to 11 with HKB instructors. Participants will also have an amazing opportunity to perform live at Harbour City.
9月的四個周末，港芭將舉辦專為4至11歲兒童而設的「Tutu學院維港芭蕾 樂滿FUN」兒童工作坊。活動會由港芭教育及外展部導師指導，參加者更有 機會於海港城表演他們的學習成果。
