香港話劇團剛度過她四十五周年紀念。2023-24劇季以「生活的褶 皺」為 製作綱 領,打開新篇章,邁向新征程。地殼移動,岩層受擠, 產生褶皺,於是有了山脈和山谷。生活亦然,我們 都是行動中的人,

在瞬間與永恆的對峙中,情 感板塊不停碰撞,展現 為 起落人生。我

一起體驗各種 情感的瞬間爆發或綠水長存。

五月宜開鑼,首推《小島•餘香》。劇本翻新自我三十年前草就的《小 島芸香》。那時年輕,妄談愛 情,戲謔 真 心。三十年過去,時間沖刷 了島上草木,也洗滌了我的言語,該去的去,該留的,仍可觸聞。 導演是三位新任助理藝術總監俊杰、守正和廷輝。三子正值當打之 年,沉穩不掩銳氣,理性不悖激 情,決意六手聯彈,為 小島譜出新 曲,煥發 餘香。

七月宜歡樂,俊杰把中國江湖格式,植 入法蘭西喜劇泰斗莫里哀

(Molière) 之《史嘉本的詭計》(Les Fourberies de Scapin),糅合成 婚嫁喜劇《史家本第二零二三回之伏虎降龍》,以誌泰斗降世四百零 一年之慶。婚嫁,本是兩人的事,卻不料過得了情關,過不了江湖上 的萬水千山。莫翁揮筆如劍,劃出人間荒誕。俊杰聲東擊西,彰顯 世俗瘋狂。歡樂有深意,盡在江湖中。

九月宜懷古,一女翩然而至,來自明末 清 初。她美艷絕倫;她才 藝雙修;她特立獨行;她敢愛敢恨;她 既 可殉夫,亦願殉國;她被

史學 大師陳寅恪先生譽 為 「女俠名姝」;她,是秦淮八艷之首 柳如是。朝代更迭,歷史的瞬間一閃,生活就被定格在永恆的 to-be-or-not-to-be。如何承受生命中難以承受的輕和重,我好想 知道。於是,我寫《親愛的.柳如是》,並自導之。

月之十一宜遠行,忽爾到了莫斯科。俄國偉大作家契訶夫 (Anton Chekhov)閱世之深,讓人嘆 為觀止,不僅反映在他的戲劇作品,還 有他大量的短篇小說,更是世界第一等。我選取了十一篇,篇篇直 指人心,見性成佛,一路讀來,鋪陳出《從金鐘到莫斯科》,由 鎮 洲 執導。我一直 覺得,鎮洲是一位「得道」的演員和導演。已經旅居加 國的他,將會重訪香江,在劇場開壇,引領我們穿越時空,一 睹十九 世紀莫斯科的世道,觀照今天的人心。

0324宜思辨。2024年3月,劇季收官之作登場,由蔚衡與導演焯威, 聯手打造英國當代劇作家羅拔・艾克 ( Robert Icke) 名作《醫•道 》 (The Doctor)。一宗醫療事件,在網上引起關注,發酵,升級為宗教、 種族及性別歧視議題。真 相不斷被解讀、扭曲,愈 演 愈 烈,引人深 思「後 真相」及當代媒體下生活的態度。蔚衡自去年九月卸任助理藝 術總監後,一直 深念這個好作品,今次回巢執導,還兼任女主。能 不期待?等你回來!

以上是主劇場航程。 同步起錨的黑盒劇場,第一站,鎖定《落地開花》。編劇溫文爾雅,出手 爆裂無情。一個倫理異常的家庭,被他不動聲色地吊打。散落一地的 愛與恨,交織成一個時代的印記。我早就說過,要記住這個名字 郭永康 在編劇行當裡,絕對是一個狠角色。導演翰廷,是劇場 三能手 能寫、能導、能演 早已成就斐然。如今加盟我團,是 魚得水,也是水得魚。第二站,重訪《姊妹》( Sœurs )景點,細味相煎同 根生的暴烈與溫柔。去年礙於疫情,法國編劇兼導演Pascal Rambert 在線上指指點點,已讓我團兩員女將 煦莉與慧慈 使出渾身 解數,彼此接招、拆招,演技狂飊。今番親臨香江執導,定必引爆 場更酷烈的親 情對撞與浴火重生。

第三站,抵步《匙羹》暗殺現場。無路可走,做殺手。你死好過我死, 合乎 情 理。但殺人工具只能用一隻匙羹(勺子)!那是甚麼道理? 編劇澤宇,通過他的巧思妙想,適 者生存,不適 者玩完,毫無道理 可言。廷輝執羹而導,以他細膩的觸覺,將會舀出生活的百般滋味。 尾站來到《半桶水》。一個模擬的文藝復興時代,四個深受中國文化 影響的洋人,立下桃園結義之誓:「不求同年同月同日生,但求同年 同月同日死。」孰料好死不死,其中一個立完誓就吐血而亡。其他三 人只剩一天生命,情 何以堪?命何以續?編劇晉邦強於建構戲劇 情 境,設 置出來的人物、關係環環相扣,在人生的困局中左衝右突,互 相拉扯,扭曲變形,但 真實,真實得彷彿是你和我。

《匙羹》和《半桶水》,均來自「新戲匠」計劃 我團為發掘原創劇本 而搭建的平台。由今個劇季開始,我團戲劇文學部會重整資源, 加強力度,推出「風箏計劃」,吸納更多有志於劇本創作的年輕人,寫 出你的聲音,我們的故事,讓更多好劇本起飛,像風箏,牽出萬千金 線,在空中飛舞。最後,但同樣重要並值得與大家分享的是,我團獲 特區政府發展局支持,將位於佐敦的一間舊校舍(前賈梅士學校), 翻修成香港話劇團教育中心,預計 今年下半年落成啟用。有了這個

新基地,我們的戲劇教育事業必會爆發新能量,全力貫徹我們的教 育理念:「學好生活」、「問好生活」、「創好生活」、「建好生活」。

我們所有的努力,都是為香港的人文景觀增磚添瓦,

以期不負香港的好。

Examining life’s creases and folds, fashioning cultural landscapes

An introduction to the HKRep’s 2023–24 season

What makes Hong Kong so unique is its geographical accessibility, the many twists in its history, and the juxtaposition of diverse cultural traditions, as well as its requisite openness and tolerance. I consider them Hong Kong’s advantages. We are committed, whether in original works “made in Hong Kong” or adapted and imported repertory, to present a broad vista, to connect with the times with open arms, to engage with the human spirit and to uphold our heritage, crafting a contemporary theatre that is emblematic of Hong Kong and worthy of this place.

The Hong Kong Repertory Theatre just celebrated its 45th anniversary. For our 2023–24 season, we use the motto “Life’s creases and folds” in guiding our productions, opening new chapters, forging a new path. When the earth’s surface shifts, subterranean strata belonging to di erent tectonic plates crease and fold, thus forming mountains and valleys. Life is comparable in that human beings are constantly in motion. Caught between a single moment and eternity, our emotional palettes collide as we experience life’s ups and downs. With sincere hearts, we delve into a fine selection of stage works examining life’s creases and folds, sharing with the audience visceral experiences ranging from emotional outbursts to the calm of placid waters.

May is an auspicious month to sound the gong and start everything anew. We launch the season with The Isle, an updated version of my work from three decades ago. At that time, I was a young man making reckless proclamations about love and mocking the world’s candour. Times have passed, flora and fauna on the island and my own words have since been scoured, but what has been discarded and what remains are still palpable. The Isle is directed by our three newly-appointed Assistant Artistic Directors: Fong Chun Kit, Lau Shau Ching and Yau Ting Fai. Now at the height of their powers, they dare to innovate on solid foundations they built throughout the years. These three directors are rational and passionate, joining all six hands in creating something new celebrating the lingering fragrance that is the isle.

July is the time for fun! Fong Chun Kit injects Chinese martial arts elements into Molière’s Les Fourberies de Scapin, formulating a new comedy about love and marriage in Scapin in Jiānghú, Chap. 2023 that serves as a tribute to the 401st anniversary of the French comic master’s birth. Marriage should be a matter between two people. Yet romantic love buckles under the pressures of the heroic world of swords and daggers. Molière’s pen is a sword that whittles the absurd. Fong sounds the alarm on the east yet attacks from the west, piercing a hole in our bizarre world today. Deep meanings are hidden in the hilarious moments of martial arts chivalry.

Come September we wax nostalgic as a lady transports herself from the late Ming and early Qing dynasties. A rare beauty who excels in the arts and letters, she is fiercely independent, daring to love and hate, even giving up her life for family and country. Praised as “a woman warrior and belle” by historian Chen Yinke, Liu Rushi ranks at the top among the “Eight Beauties of Qinhuai River”. As dynasties change, one is caught in that historical moment “to-be-or-not-to-be”. I’m ver y

curious how people shoulder the unbearable lightness and weight of being, so I pen and direct Liu Rushi, my Dear in search for an answer.

November is opportune for beginning long journeys, and we find ourselves in Moscow. Anton Chekhov’s insights in his plays and substantial number of novellas, treasures in their respective genres, have left many in awe. I selected 11 stories, each striking at our hearts and challenging our intellect. As I journey through these novellas, I create Moscow Express, directed by Lee Chun Chow. I’ve long held to the belief that Lee is an actor and director who has “attained the wisdom of Tao”. Although he has moved to Canada, he returns to the Hong Kong stage, guiding our travels through time and space, observing the ways of 19th-century Moscow and seeing our own world reflected therein.

December is a month marked by reunions as we greet the homecoming of a great advocate. Need I say more about The Impossible Trial – a musical? I don’t think so. But I must remind theatregoers who missed out during the pandemic: If you don’t want to miss out again, you should pull your trigger now. Apparently, many who saw the premiere run are adamant to fight for tickets again. Are you worried? You’d better be. Also, I must congratulate Leon Ko, Chris Shum, Cheung Fei Fan and Fong Chun Kit. Together, you have created a milestone of Hong Kong original musical theatre, a gem that stands radiant.

0324 is a good time for critical thinking. Our season ends in March 2024 with co-directors Fung Wai Hang and Octavian Chan bringing contemporary British playwright Robert Icke’s The Doctor to Hong Kong. An incident about healthcare goes viral, inciting the public into controversial debates on religious, racial and sexual discrimination. The truth is constantly deconstructed, twisted to the extreme, making us ponder “post-truth” and life in today’s media landscape. Although Fung left the HKRep last September, she is keen to bring this fine work on stage, returning not only to direct but also to play the title character. How fortuitous is that? We eagerly await your return.

Our Black Box launches its 2023–24 season with Landing to Blossom. Our playwright is a soft-spoken gentleman, yet he can be ruthless. In this play, an unconventional family is strung up and caned without creating a din. Fragments of love and hatred that litter on the ground create a mosaic of an era. I’ve said this before, please take note of Kwok Wing Hong, a badass among playwrights. Director Yu Hon Ting is a theatrical triple-threat: an excellent playwright, director and actor. Now a member of the HKRep, Yu is like a fish in water, and our pond is all the merrier. For our second stop, we revisit Sœurs, a tour-de-force about two women born of the same ilk, both ferocious and sensitive. Because of pandemic measures last year, French playwright-director Pascal Rambert only managed to work online with the cast, and our outstanding female warriors—Karrie Tan and Mercy Wong —used their consummate skills in playing with, against and alongside each other, whizzing the drama to maddening heights. This time, Rambert comes to Hong Kong to work with the team, ensuring an even more blistering production about family bonds.

Our third stop is a crime scene in The Spoon. At tether’s end, a man resorts to become a hitman. Well, it does confirm the perennial adage about survival of the fittest. However, he is limited to using one tool of destruction—a spoon! Does it make sense? Playwright Alfie Leung extends his imagination, creating a cruel yet realistic tale illustrating “fittest survives and everyone else dies, and there is no rhyme or reason”. Indeed, Director Yau Ting Fai spoons out all shades of emotion in this parable about life. The final stop in our Black Box season is The Bucket. In a virtual renaissance age, four Westerners deeply influenced by Chinese culture jointly profess an oath of brotherhood: “We ask not the same year, month and day of birth; but wish to die on the same year, month and day”. Who can predict that one of them coughs out blood and dies within minutes? Since the others only have one more day to live, how do they spend their remaining time? Playwright Hui Chun Pong has a knack for creating dramatic scenarios and devising interconnected characters engaged in exhilarating tug-of-wars, where everything is twisted and deformed, yet so real it could be you and me.

The Spoon and The Bucket both came into being thanks to The Open Platform, which the HKRep established to nurture and develop original local plays. Our season also heralds the relaunch of our Theatre Literature Department, as we strengthen its reach in establishing the “Project Kite” to attract young playwriting talents, to give voice to you, and to pen our stories, so even more scripts can take flight and connect with thousands of golden strands dancing in the air. Finally, I have an equally momentous piece of news to share: the HKRep received support from the Development Bureau of the Hong Kong SAR Government in renovating an erstwhile site in Jordan (former Portuguese Community School, also known as Escola Camões) as the Hong Kong Repertory Theatre Education Hub, and we expect to open this facility by the second half of 2023. With this new home base, our theatre education endeavours will be equipped with renewed energy, fulfilling our mission of “learn a better life”, “ask for a better life”, “create a better life” and “build a better life”.

We put in such hard work because we want to help advance Hong Kong culture, one brick at a time, so as to live up to the promise of this place.

《小島•餘 香》(前名《小島芸香》)由九十年代首演至今,坊間多次 搬演,足跡遍布香港、澳門、廣州及加拿大等地。豐富的意象、詩 意的台詞,多年來衍生各種解讀。是次話劇團破天荒以四個版本 演繹新任藝術總監潘惠森重新修訂的經典,並由方俊杰、劉守正、 邱廷輝三位新任助理藝術總監聯合執導,為 新劇季揭開序幕,讓 觀眾體會小島上的愛情餘韻,細味生活的意義。

A man and a woman meet on an island. To him, the place is only transitory, but she considers it a permanent home. He wants to forget time, but she wants to safeguard memories. He wants to leave, but she wants to stay. Their casual dialogue searches for confluence amidst life’s insignificant matters. Two strangers develop a friendship, but later become estranged. Is it love, or is it tenacity?

Many theatre companies have produced The Isle since the 1990s, and the work has graced stages in Hong Kong, Macau, Guangzhou and Canada, its rich imagery and poetic dialogue engendering a wide range of interpretations. The HKRep produces four di erent interpretations of newly appointed Artistic Director Poon Wai Sum’s revised script, jointly directed by HKRep’s three new Assistant Artistic Directors Fong Chun Kit, Lau Shau Ching and Yau Ting Fai. The Isle unveils the new season, capturing wonderful echoes of love on an island as the audience savours the meaning of life.

助理藝術總監方俊杰將故事背景、人物和對白從古典法國「移植」到江湖武 林,再由演員施展渾身解數,以即興喜劇的表演方式來「接招」,為這齣莫 里哀喜劇烙下「只此一家」的武俠特 色!觀 眾 將會從史家本的 精 心佈局, 體會生活中的人性矛盾,同時於笑聲中,意會此經典作品的不朽價值。

Scapin in Jiānghú, Chap. 2023 is a “fusion” injecting new energy into French comic master Molière’s Les Fourberies de Scapin.

Two young leaders of a martial arts clan commit to marry their true loves. But because the ladies do not come from the right stock, the elders forbid both unions. These men may be equipped with the best fighting skills, but they are powerless under the circumstances. So they ask for help from their house servant Scapin—a man with no physical training whatsoever, yet wily in his ways. Will Scapin succeed with his countless ploys, or will the schemes backfire?

Assistant Artistic Director Fong Chun Kit “transplants” the background, characters and dialogue from Louis XIV’s France to the world of martial arts. The cast rises to the challenge, adding comic improvisations to brand a unique “Hong Kong imprint” on Molière! Theatregoers witness the vagaries of human character and, through raucous laughter, learn about the immortal nature of this work.

術總監潘惠森繼《親愛的,胡雪巖》後又一「親愛的」歷史人物新 作 ——《親愛的•柳如是》。明末清初歌妓柳如是天生麗質,才藝雙 絕,被視 為「秦淮八艷」之首。她心繫家國,性格 節 烈,結識 眾多江 南名士,並先後與「雲間三子」的宋徵輿和陳子龍相戀,其 情堪稱轟 烈,其後嫁予年屆花甲的文壇 領袖錢謙益,備受爭議。清兵入關, 朝代交替更令錢柳命運跌宕起伏,然而他們的愛情卻至死不渝。

潘惠森憑其獨特視角,細膩筆觸,以中國文化 情操 為體,西方劇場 美學 為 用,勢將呈現一個具有當代意涵的古代奇女子——親愛的 柳如是!

Following the success of Hu Xueyan, my Dear, HKRep Artistic Director Poon Wai Sum creates another work based on a historical figure, Liu Rushi, a beautiful and talented courtesan from the late Ming and early Qing dynasties widely praised as the top among “Eight Beauties of Qinhuai River”. A patriot who lives with honour, Liu befriends famous scholars in the Jiangnan region, having tumultuous romances with two of the “Three Scholars of Yunjian”, Song Zhengyu and Chen Zilong. Eventually, she marries the sage Qian Qianyi, many decades her senior, which causes quite a stir. When the Qing army overruns the Ming court, Qian’s fate su ers a downturn, but their love for each other remains strong.

Poon Wai Sum uses his unique perspective and finely etched writing, connecting with the core of Chinese cultural sentiment while employing Western theatrical aesthetics. Liu Rushi, my Dear provides an enticingly contemporary portrait of an ancient female figure.

站在巨人契訶夫的肩上 幕門開合瞬間 窺探奧妙人生

因一本契訶夫的短篇小說,導遊馬泰星與演員陳小燕倏地發現自己身 處於前往莫斯科的 直通車,轉眼由香港的金鐘,穿越至十九世紀末的俄羅 斯!二人慌忙設法回港,然而,一個又一個俄羅斯人陸續上車……一幕又一 幕荒誕的生活 情 境於車窗內外上演……到底二人會否成 為廿一世紀的「胡 不歸」?

藝術總監潘惠森以獨步劇壇的幽默手法,於舞台上呈現俄國大文豪契訶夫 短篇小說中對人心的洞察。跨地域、越古今的互文將於台上並列對讀,在 雅俗之間變化盪揚。

《從金鐘到莫斯科》由五屆香港舞台劇獎最佳導演得主李鎮洲執導,他將在 劇場施展魔法,帶 領觀 眾潛入俄羅斯的小橋流水人家,呈現出比現實更現 實的超現實。

A volume of Chekhov short stories magically puts tour guide Ma Tai Sing and actress Chan Siu Yin en route to Moscow on a through train. In an instant, they travel from Admiralty to Russia at the end of the 19th century! As they frantically try to make their way back, Russian characters enter the compartment at every stop…and absurd scenes surround them…Can our two 21st-century voyagers return home?

Artistic Director Poon Wai Sum employs his ingeniously humorous touch to shine a light on Chekhov’s depictions of human aspiration. Texts traversing geographical and temporal boundaries are presented side-by-side on stage, transforming and resounding in that space between high and low art.

Moscow Express is directed by Lee Chun Chow, a five-time Best Director at the Hong Kong Drama Awards. In this production, Lee wields sorcery on stage, taking theatregoers on a journey into old Russian towns, a surreal experience to top all surreal experiences!

When Ping married Wah, she was still a teenager, and he already advanced in age. In this abnormal family, their two sons have di erent intentions: Kwai wants to stay, and Wing plans to leave. Should a family uproot itself or land to blossom in this debate about staying or leaving?

After the multi-accoladed Principle, Kwok Wing Hong creates another elaborate work. This Black Box production is directed by Yu Hon Ting, who dissects love and hate in the family.

親離世,分隔異地的姊妹再次 聚首,不堪回首的往事倏地襲來:兒時的陰霾、成長的競賽,都留下 不可磨滅的創傷,然而二人心底始終渴求對方的愛。可是家庭的缺失,令兩姊妹的裂痕加深,破鏡難 以重圓。這次見面,最終引發一場驚濤駭浪、殘酷無 情的罵戰,無可逃脫,只能直面。

《姊妹》由法國 著名劇場及電影導演、編劇和形體創作人Pascal Rambert創作及執導,曾以法語及西 班牙語版本上演,2022年於黑盒劇場首次以粵語演出,場場爆滿,引起觀 眾 迴響。是次Rambert 將 親自來港執導,由團員陳煦莉和黃慧慈再次挑戰演技極限,利用語言、節奏與空間的張力,於黑盒獻 上一齣優秀的國際作品。

When two sisters reunite from afar after their mother’s death, painful memories resurface from their childhood: incidents that scarred them, and their competitiveness while growing up. Deep in the cracks is still the desire for love, no matter how hopeless. However, the crevice between the two grows even wider in this long overdue encounter. Their reunion turns into a tumultuous, vicious, head-on confrontation from which the two cannot escape, no matter how hard they try.

The 2022 Hong Kong premiere of the Cantonese version Sœurs at the Black Box enjoyed sold out houses and great acclaim. This time, the renowned theatre and film director and playwright himself, Pascal Rambert arrives in person to work with company members Karrie Tan and Mercy Wong, presenting an excellent international stage work to our audience.

A graphic designer burdened with debt switches professions and becomes a hitman. His clients are so demanding that he resorts to all sorts of creative solutions: he even grabs a spoon in search of his university classmate, collaborating in a finely crafted “art work”!

Alfie Leung bases his script from personal experience, adding absurd plot twists and capturing the average working man's struggle to survive. Assistant Artistic Director Yau Ting Fai creates a perfect interpretation through the nifty plot.

文藝復興時期,四位「洋人」稱兄道弟,他們各有所長,卻又各自迷失,一直靠「半桶 水」的伎倆在人生載浮載沉。四人仿效古人滴血 為 盟,誓言「不能同年同月同日生,但 願同年同月同日死」。豈料其中一人在禮成後當場斃命,約誓頓成詛咒 新進編劇許晉邦的風格之作,以架空的時代和戲謔的 情節,探問「藝術何 為 」,同時遙 相呼應現實裡創作人的掙扎。他曾於「新戲匠」系列發表《迂迴曲》,近年亦在影視圈作 多方面嘗試,累積一定實力及經驗,今次字字珠璣的《半桶水》將帶給觀 眾 充滿黑色幽 默的劇場體驗。

During a “fake” renaissance era, four relatively accomplished “Westerners” befriend each other finding camaraderie. They then decide to emulate the ancients in swearing a blood oath: “We ask not the same year, month and day of birth; but wish to die on the same year, month and day.” But their oath suddenly becomes a curse.

Up-and-coming playwright Hui Chun Pong explores “what is art?” in his distinctive style. He also reflects on the struggle of creative talents in our world today.

讓文字飛起,牽出漫天金線,引爆一場原創劇本的文藝復興

Let words fly, drawing golden strands across the sky, sparking a renaissance of original plays

當代戲劇藝術的樣式五花八門,各有其美學取向。然而,劇團 深信,一個好劇本,必然藴藏深刻的思想內涵,亦具有可轉化 為舞台表演的「含金量」,此乃話劇團創作的基石。

好劇本難寫,因此難求,本地原創的好劇本更是可遇不可求。

劇團過往籌辦多個孕育本地原創劇本的計劃 「新劇發展計

劃」、「新戲匠」系列、「舞台編劇實驗室」和「劇本精煉場」等,都

獲得正面回 饋。為鼓勵和發掘更多劇本創作人才,由本劇季開 始,劇團推出「風箏計劃」,以「生活的褶皺」為 題,公開徵集華

文原創劇本,並從徵稿中挑選出最多20個劇本進行公開演讀,

然後再進一步篩選出5個優勝作品!優勝編劇除可獲創作獎金

外,亦將獲邀參與為期半年、由藝術總監潘惠森主持的精煉劇 本工作坊。發展成熟的作品將有機會於未來劇季中製作上演!

計劃共分為四個階段:

Workshops for winning entries

There are so many di erent styles of contemporary theatre, each to its own aesthetics. But the Hong Kong Repertory Theatre staunchly believes a fine script must contain deeply thoughtful content, with the potential to be realised on stage. This is the artistic keystone of our company.

It is hard to write a good script, and we count our lucky stars when we encounter a fine script that is local and original. In the past, the HKRep had established numerous programmes to nurture local, original plays—Script Development Scheme, The Open Platform, Playwright’s Lab, and Project Alchemist—all of which delivered positive results. In order to encourage and discover even more creative talents, we embark on the “Project Kite” this season based on “Life’s creases and folds”, with an open call for Chinese-language scripts. We’ll select up to 20 scripts for reading, then pick the top five! Winners not only receive cash prizes, but they will also be invited to participate in a six-month playwriting workshop hosted by Artistic Director Poon Wai Sum. A fully-fledged script or two may even be included in future HKRep season!

HONG KONG REPERTORY THEATRE EDUCATION HUB OPENS IN AUTUMN 2023

位於佐敦覺士道,擁有過百年歷史的前賈梅士學校 即 將完成

活化工程,成 為本港首個以戲劇教育為工作核心的教育中心。

此幢建築物融合可持續建築的特色與文物保育原則,採用被

動式冷卻策略及高效能機電系統,優化了建築物的室內環境、

現有生態系統和園林景觀,亦保留了原址的歷史文化內涵。

設計於去年榮獲環保建築大獎 2021 即 有建築類別——

優異獎,堪稱城中的戲劇綠洲。

教育中心預計於2023年秋季啟用。除了現有幼兒、兒童、成人

戲劇課程外,中心將會開展全新音樂劇課程並舉辦戲劇體驗

活動,進一步將藝術融入社區,通過戲劇「學好生活」、「問好 生活」、「創好生活」、「建好生活」。

Renovation and conservation of the century-old former Portuguese Community School (also known as Escola Camões) on Cox’s Road will soon be completed and Hong Kong’s first centre specifically dedicated to theatre education will open its doors this autumn. The revitalized building is an innovation of sustainable heritage, much of the historical and cultural characteristics of the original site are preserved. Recipient of a Merit Award in the Existing Buildings Category of the 2021 Green Building Award, this centre will soon become a theatre oasis of the city.

Apart from toddlers’ and children’s, youth and adult courses, new programmes for musical theatre and experiential activities will further promote the arts in the community, fulfilling our mission to use drama as a key to “learn a better life”, “ask for a better life”, “create a better life” and “build a better life”.

■ 不設退票。

■ 為免打擾台上演出及場內觀 眾,香港話劇團將不會 即時為遲到觀 眾安排入座,遲到及中途離場人士須待中場休息或適當時候方可入座。

因應部分場地需要,本團有權不讓遲到或中途離場人士進場。

■ 全日制學生及六十歲或以上高齡人士半價票數量有限,額滿即止。優惠票持有人入場時,必須出示有效證件,否則需補付全費及手續費。

■ 輪椅區門票將於正式開售時發售。

Notes on Ticketing and Venue

■ Patrons are reminded to check their tickets before transaction is completed or leaving ticket outlet.

■ No refund can be made once a ticket is sold.

■ To avoid interrupting the performers and audience, latecomers will NOT be admitted until intermission or a suitable break. Management also reserves the right to refuse admission of any latecomers and audience members who leave the auditorium.

■ Limited discounted tickets for students and senior citizens age 60 and above are available on a first-come-first-served basis. Concessionary ticket holders who cannot provide proof of identity must settle the di erence between discount and full price and be liable for handling charges.

■ Tickets for wheelchair zone will be available during public sales.

■ For productions staged at the HKRep Black Box, please contact us before ticket purchase if a wheelchair seat is required. (Tel: 3103 5900)

■ Children under 6 will not be admitted.
