Creative Digital Media Production Level 3
Equivalent to three A Levels, this course will give you the skills you need for a career in the creative digital media industries, including film, graphic design and gaming.
Exploring both the practical and theoretical aspects of creative media, you will be utilising professional hardware and software, including our state-of-the-art DSLR cameras and our brand new Apple Mac suite with all of the latest Adobe applications, including; Premiere Pro, After Effects and Photoshop. These resources prepare you for the level of professional equipment and standards you will encounter in the film industry.

You will take an in-depth look at the requirements to get into the media industry, while also taking part in a variety of field trips to industry related areas. Instead of focusing on one aspect of the industry, we will look at the creative sector as a whole including, graphic design, film making, game design, web design and many more. This course is ideal for both school leavers and mature students who are interested in creative media production, and who would like to prepare for a higher education qualification in this exciting field. Your tutors are fully active in the creative industry, ranging from cinematographers to BBC staff, ensuring you encounter the very latest practices.

Assessment is continuous and industry related, with assignments, tests, projects and practical work. All full-time students are required to study maths and English at the appropriate level. Please see page 8 for more details.
Entry Requirements • Five GCSE passes at grade C (grade 4) or above, (including maths and English) or a Merit or above in Level 2 Media • Successful interview and initial assessment • You will need to demonstrate an enthusiasm for this subject area
Progression Progression routes shown are dependent on successful completion of qualifications and meeting entry criteria.
