Hairdressing Level 2
If you enjoy meeting people and have a confident and outgoing personality then studying hairdressing is an excellent choice.
You will be expanding your practical and theoretical knowledge to include intermediate techniques, creating highly professional looks and finishes. Working in the College’s fully-equipped commercial salon, you will be provided with an excellent learning environment for hairdressing.

Qualification Level 2 Diploma in Hairdressing
Duration One Year
Course Content The course consists of the following units: • Health & Safety • Communication • Customer Service/Reception • Style & Finish Hair • Set & Dress Hair • Barbering • Cut Hair Using Basic Techniques • Shampoo, Condition & Treat the Hair & Scalp • Change Hair Colour
Assessment is continuous and industry related, with assignments, tests, projects and practical work. All full-time students are required to study maths and English at the appropriate level. Please see page 8 for more details.
Entry Requirements • Two GCSEs at grade C (grade 4) or above • Successful interview and initial assessment • You will need to demonstrate an enthusiasm for this subject area
