Plumbing Level 3

You will be learning advanced skills and knowledge and will be supervised as you undertake various practical and knowledge-based activities.

This level is suitable for learners who have obtained a Level 2 Plumbing qualification wanting to enter the plumbing industry. It gives you an opportunity to pick up some core skills and knowledge as well as providing the opportunity to progress onto Level 3 Plumbing. This Level 3 Diploma provides around 70% of the NVQ requirements and students can if they find employment progress further to obtain full NVQ Level 3.

Duration One year

Course Content Units covered include: • Environmental Technology • Complex Cold Water • Complex Hot Water • System Planning • Central Heating Systems

Assessment is through written and practical centre marked assessments. All full-time students are required to study maths and English at the appropriate level. Please see page 8 for more details.

Entry Requirements • Entry on to the course will be by interview and completion of Level 2 plumbing. • You will need to demonstrate an enthusiasm and commitment for this subject area

Progression Progression routes shown are dependent on successful completion of qualifications and meeting entry criteria.
