Hobnob Hoopla! Market Shopper's Guide
The Hobnob Hoopla Market is March 8 & 9 Expo Building : Illinois State Fairgrounds : Springfield, IL Use Exit 100 off Interstate 55 - Turn west on Sangamon Ave Street Address for GPS: 801 E Sangamon Avenue Enter the fairgrounds at Gate 1 / the Main Gate Pictured bottom right on the next page The Expo Building - watch for the first big old brick building on the left. The main entrance is arched and there is a sign reading 11 over it. Look for Hobnob Market signage in front of the building.
HOOPLA PARKING = AMPLE & FREE
Several of the pink dotted areas will have Hobnob Market Parking signs. You may also find other spots you like including several gravel lots and near fair buildings. As long as there are no signs prohibiting it you can park where you like. Please park reasonably and never in a way that will block someone in. Handicapped Parking In the gravel lot right by the Expo Building on the north side. It will be marked with Handicapped Parking signs.

Friday, March 8 : 4-9 pm Central Fresh, light, sunny, and pure - that's the look and feeling we're going for at the Hobnob Hoopla! Market. We're celebrating the coming of spring as a party - with streamers, confetti, balloons, & more. Hobnob Hoopla! vendors set up shop as if they're establishing their own little brick & mortars. Great styling, over-the-top displays, thoughtful packaging, terrific signage, and a happy, fun feeling are all part of Hobnob style. You can also enjoy wine or locally made craft beer, delicious food, lots of giveaways, and a DJ taking requests.

Shop your way through beautiful vendor spaces overflowing with barn-fresh vintage finds, creative & colorful handmade goods, and fresh spring boutique clothing styles. Grab a bite to eat with a glass of wine or craft beer and enjoy the celebration. Admission $5 / person at the door Kids 12 & under are free
FRIDAY earlybird SHOPPING TICKETS
If you want to have your Friday night tickets in hand (AND be entered in our Big Giveaway) be sure to get your tickets by Noon Central time tomorrow. Tickets purchased in advance will be emailed to you. You can print a copy or (even easier) we can scan the ticket barcode off your phone. Not sure if you can come til Friday gets here? No problem! Tickets are still $10 at the door Friday night Kids 12 & under are free both Friday & Saturday. They don't need tickets.
Buying your Friday earlybird shopping tickets in advance has a BIG advantage...You'll be entered into our Big Giveaway! Ahead of opening time at Earlybird Shopping on Friday all the names of advance ticket buyers + season pass holders will be mixed up and a winner will be drawn. One winner will be loaded with an armful of free Hobnob swag PLUS $250 in Hobnob CASH to spend at the market! Please Note: The winner will be drawn from all the qualifying names at about 3:55 pm. We'll be watching at both entrances for our lucky duck! (Must be present to win.)

SHOPPING TIP
take home a truckload!
Find something super big at the market but can't get it out by yourself? No problem! If you buy something large the vendor will tag your purchase Sold, get your information, and give you the bottom of the tag. When you have 30-45 minutes of shopping left to do please come to The Hobnob Shop and turn in your pink tag stubs. We'll call a porter to round up your items and they'll text you when they're ready for pickup at the back entrance by the elevator. You can drive right up and get your big pieces. Easy peasy. :) We're happy to help you take home a truckload.
Need To stash Purchases? You can go in and out of the market as often as needed. We know arms get full of bags & small purchases that it would be nice to stash in a vehicle. Our greeters are on the ball and great at keeping track as you go in and out. You'll have no problem getting back in.

Good Things to Know
ATM There will be an ATM on-site during the market. It's located on the ground floor by the restrooms. MAPS The market map is available in this book. It's also available for download as a highquality PDF here if you'd like to print a copy. Please note we sometimes make last-minute changes as vendors move in so it may not be 100% accurate. FRIDAY EARLYBIRD SHOPPING TICKETS If you buy advance tickets for Earlybird Shopping (available online through noon on Friday) we'd love to scan them off your phone. It gets you through the line lots faster. Just pull them up and we'll scan the code in a wink. If you arrive on Friday before the market opens at 4 pm you can hang out inside one of our 2 entrances so you're warm. If you come in the entrance marked "Art Gallery" in the stone you'll be in the food area and can grab a bite to eat before we open. MARKET ENTRANCES We're using both the large arched stone entrance on the east side of the building and the "Art Gallery" entrance on the north side of the building. Both will be decorated and have chalkboard signs outside. STROLLERS & NURSING Wearing your baby may be easier than using a stroller but umbrella strollers will be fine. The building has an elevator to make shopping both floors easy. In the women's restroom there will be a private area marked for nursing mothers.

spring salad dressing
This dressing is so good and tastes zesty and fresh like spring. We like it for tossed salad, as a dressing for pasta salad, or as a marinade for tomato slices - just spoon over them and refrigerate for a few hours. The dressing goes together quickly but should always be chilled for a few hours or made the day before to let the flavors meld. To make it whisk together: 1/3 cup olive oil Ÿ cup red wine vinegar Ÿ teaspoon pepper ½ teaspoon minced garlic 2 Tablespoons dried minced onion 1 Tablespoon parsley flakes 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning 6 table-size packets of Splenda Toss your preferred lettuce with this dressing plus grated Parmesan cheese, croutons, black pepper, and other veggies for a delicious salad.
