A fun earlybird shopping party! Friday, September 8 : 2-7 pm Central Roam aisles of absolutely mouthwatering vendor booths displayed like mini shops and heaped with fantastic vintage finds and wonderful handmades. Also shop for new fall styles from several boutique clothing vendors. Live music by The Do-Overs, cash bar by Tuscan Hills Winery, lots of giveaways, & plenty of delicious food available. Your Friday party ticket also includes free re-entry on Saturday to shop some more! Party Tickets $10 / person Head to our Facebook page @hobnobmarket and click on Shop Now You can also get a ticket Friday, Sept 8 at the fairgrounds gate $15 / person Kids 12 & under are free. If you purchase tickets online you don't need to account for anyone 12 or under. Just count shoppers 13+.

Shop : Laugh : Eat : Repeat! Saturday, September 9 : 9 am - 4 pm A spirited village fair style market day! Shop your way through dozens upon dozens of boutique style booths packed with amazing goods. Grab a bite to eat with a glass of wine, listen to live music, and be sure to get a picture at the photo spot. Admission $5 / person Or free with your Friday night ticket - just show it again at the gate. Coming on Saturday only? Admission is at the gate - no ticket needed. Kids 12 & under are free.

Hobnob Harvest Market Shopper's Guide
WHEN & WHERE The Hobnob Harvest Market is September 8 & 9 at the Effingham County Fairgrounds in Altamont, Illinois. Exit Exit 82 off Interstate 70 - just 10 to 15 minutes west of Effingham, IL Street Address for GPS: 722 E Cumberland Road (Route 40) Altamont, Illinois
PARKING - AMPLE & FREE! Parking is on-site at the fairgrounds. We have plenty of room for your trucks, trailers, and whatever fabulous-finds-hauling vehicle you bring. Parking is free and we'll have a crew out to direct you.
PORTERS & THE HOLD STATION Fall in love with a piece you can neither lift nor load? Buy bunches and need a quick place to stash your stack? That's exactly what our Hold Station is for. The Altamont High School FFA is portering for this market and they go around picking up purchases from each booth and delivering them to the Hold Station.
You shop to your heart's content with your hands free and then when you're done you head to the Hold Station, get loaded, and drive off into the sunset. You're welcome to approach a porter yourself to ask for help and you can bring items to the Hold Station yourself. We just try to make it even easier by having the vendors all set up to hand your items off. But whatever you need they'll be glad to pitch in and help. All porters will be wearing bright pink tees that say, "Hey Porter!" on the front.
HOW DOES THE HOLD STATION WORK? We use our Pink Tag System. It's kind of like a coat check. When you buy something large from a vendor they'll be all set to give you a pick-up number on a lanyard and they'll tag your item with the number on your lanyard plus some info like name & cell number. Then when you head to the Hold Station all your items will be gathered and ready to load.
IS THERE A FEE TO USE THE HOLD STATION? We ask for a $2 donation to use The Hold Station. You can hold as many items as you like for the flat $2. Two bucks will hold one item or a truckload. Every bit of that money goes straight to the Altamont High School FFA for their programs, projects, and trips. Hobnob Market also gives them a donation for their hard work. Tips to the porters are also very welcome. If a porter does a super-great job for you we encourage you to give him or her a small tip.
You get the bottom of the pink tag as your claim check for each item.
Giveaways! We have lots of ways for you to win! All of the giveaway goodies and ways to win will be located in The Hobnob Shop under the covered concession area look for the big pink banner.

Pop-up Giveaways On Instagram & Facebook during the market. We may ask you to meet us in a certain spot, do something special, etc. to win. You never know when these will be or what we'll be giving away! Scratchoffs Come by The Hobnob Shop booth to get a scratchoff card. They may be winning cards for Hobnob CASH or a vendor giveaway.

Good Things to Know Yes - we have handicapped parking. It's just to the left as you come through the main entrance. Just tell the gate workers you need to park there. We ask that you do have your handicapped tag visible or handicapped license plates. Yes - There will be an ATM on the grounds and it'll be full! Location noted on the map near the middle. Need a map? Look for the white metal newspaper machines with balloons on top. One will be near the concession area and others will be nearby. There are 3 total. Remember Illinois is on Central time so if you're coming from points east please adjust your times back an hour. Looking for fun things to do in Altamont or Effingham? Visit www.altamontil.net or www.effinghamil.com If you bought advance tickets online for Friday we'd love to scan them off your phone. It gets you into the market & shopping lots faster. Just pull them up and the scanner will grab the code before we can hardly blink. If you arrive before the market opens at 2 pm please gather in the concession area. We'll have helpers out to welcome and guide you. We start at 2 pm since we close at 7 for dusk and our vendors are usually still working and fluffing right up until the last minute or taking a chance to change before the party starts. The food vendors will be ready to serve, you can get some caramel apple sangria, and we might just have some special giveaways up our sleeves. :)
