MD Anderson Cancer Research Center
Experience Design was engaged by MD Anderson Cancer Research Center to design an experiential space honoring the Center’s donors and employing MD Anderson’s brand attributes to transmit the story of philanthropic giving toward eradicating cancer. The exhibits reference historical successes, timely contributions, and future possibilities. The media includes passive exhibits, broadcast video, and interactive screen content, and the exhibit is designed to allow for updates so that the exhibit remains current as the stories, pictures and displays reflect ongoing philanthropy.
Faces of Philanthropy offers a glimpse into the history of how donors have influenced MD Anderson’s evolution into one of the world’s largest and most respected centers devoted to cancer patient care, research, education and prevention. It tells the story of philanthropic giving and its aim to eradicate cancer. The exhibit also recognizes those who make differences in the lives of others through gifts of time, knowledge and spirit.

Honeywell Global HQ
For their brand new Global Workplace HQ, Honeywell aspired to go next level with brand implementation and immersive digital integration. The client focus on emphasizing a user experience meant to capture the breath of the entire Honeywell Global Brand and its impact on the modern world in a fully immersive space.
The Customer Experience Center (CXC) on the 23rd floor showcases Honeywell’s products and technologies in an interactive, hands-on space. The challenge was to create an engaging experience for future visitors to the center without necessarily knowing who those visitors would be or what content would be most impactful to them. To inform the design strategy, HOK’s Experience Design team led an extensive journey mapping exercise that identified the CXC’s primary visitors and anticipated how they would move throughout the space. This helped the design team identify branding, graphics, wayfinding and immersive experiences to incorporate along each user’s path of travel. The design captures the breath of Honeywell’s brand, its service offerings and its impact on the world in a fully immersive space, and is tailored to speak directly to the center’s most likely audiences.
HOK collaborated with a digital content company to design an interactive, high-tech Immersion Room within the CXC that creates a fully customizable audiovisual experience with imagery on all four walls. Individual Holo Pods use holograms to demonstrate Honeywell products performing different functions.

Guangzhou Football Club Museum and Honor Room
The Guangzhou Football Club Museum and Honor Room was designed to be a state-of-the-art exhibition inside a new arena that features the team’s history and players through a highly interactive and curated experience. The team had a severalseason run as the winningest franchise in the Chinese Super League; Experience Design brought their championship history and brand alive in the space, exemplifying the team slogan “Be the Best Forever.” Once complete, the museum will feature state-of-the-art digital interactive and immersive environments that create distinct, engage and unexpected experiences around every turn.
The team proposed a number of innovative digital interactive experiences that were then vetted through our trusted partners, Leviathan and Electrosonic, in a collaborative charrette. These same partners also supplied the team with ROM pricing for all digital elements. The introduction of digital elements gives visitors extensive ways to explore at their own pace and offers variation in the content types and how it is engaged and displayed.
