We interviewed Ariel Manso, Sales Director at MercedesBenz Coral Gables on electric automobiles, and he shared with us some of the most exciting latest technology to date.

1. How does Mercedes Benz differentiate its new electric cars from competitors in terms of performance and range?
Mercedes-Benz has the battery technology that is built in-house by Mercedes-Benz. The range of the MB vehicle lineup is one of the best in its class, with some vehicles getting a max range of over 375 miles. AMG EQ Performance models offer a high-performance vehicle with over 677hp.
2. What innovative technologies or features have been incorporated into the design of Mercedes Benz’s electric vehicles to enhance the driving experience?
Drivers Assistance features different drive modes like intelligent recuperation mode and digital lighting for optimal driver’s illumination. The drag coefficients are one of the lowest in the industry. The overall level of quality of fit and finish of the Mercedes-Benz lineup is unmatched within its segment. Level 3 autonomous driving has already been approved in several US areas.
3. Can you provide insights into Mercedes Benz’s approach to sustainable manufacturing and the use of eco-friendly materials in producing electric cars?
Mercedes-Benz calls this “Design for Environment.” Sustainable luxury – Leather and leather alternatives, conserving resources through innovative recycled materials like recycled plastic bottles. Along with batteries being more than 96% recyclable. A total of 287 components are made of resource-saving materials for the EQS, including small parts. These are just a few items Mercedes-Benz is using for the sustainability of electric vehicles.
4. How does Mercedes Benz envision the expansion of charging infrastructure to support the growing adoption of electric vehicles, and what initiatives are being taken to address any potential barriers to widespread EV adoption?
Mercedes-Benz High-Power Charging Network is well underway, with the first charging hub opening by this year’s end, equipped with both CCS1 and NACS plugs. In Addition, we will expand charging options for our customers, providing access to the Tesla Supercharger network in North America beginning in 2024. Mercedes-Benz is setting new standards for EV charging infrastructure, enabling our electric vehicles’ convenient, fast, safe, and green charging.
5. What is the long-term strategy for Mercedes Benz’s electric vehicle lineup, including plans for future models, advancements in battery technology, and overall market positioning in the rapidly evolving electric vehicle industry?
Mercedes-Benz is actively designing luxury models like the all-new Electric Maybach and future concept vehicles like the Electric G-Wagon. Mercedes-Benz has been working on this industrial process, in which batteries are dismantled, refurbished, and again made fit for use in e-cars, since 2010. All in keeping with the high-quality standards of Mercedes-Benz and its own patents. Around 95 percent of a defective energy storage unit can be prepared for continued use in this way. Mercedes-Benz offers Reman batteries for all current electric vehicles, thus making an important contribution to resource conservation and the concept of a closed economic cycle in after-sales.
