Creating a Workplace for All
To understand and acknowledge one another’s backgrounds is a significant part in forging a successful multicultural organization. This is the key pillar that Luis Gonzalez Esteves and Manuel Machado have used to pave the way into their business endeavor with the objective of creating a workplace where their team can naturally engage in meaningful conversations. Coming from Hispanic backgrounds themselves and having worked in the marketingcommunications industry for over 20 years, Luis and Manny have committed to championing and elevating diverse audiences ever since they joined forces back in 2016 to co-chair their Miami-based agency – CCOMGROUP Inc., where they strive to maintain their “Welcome to The Conversation” mantra.
The driven entrepreneurs were inspired to build a creative space for professionals from all walks of life to come together and develop effective multiethnic campaigns that matter, making both their client partners and team feel represented through their strategic communication efforts. When CCOMGROUP’s co-chairmen came together, they were aware their minority backgrounds would fuel them to provide unique point of views, so they chose to hire cultural individuals to bring in additional outlooks that would end up catering to different audiences, putting both their creative thinking and language skills to the test. Today, CCOMGROUP’s personnel is 100% multicultural representing over 30 countries in the firm that hold numerous customs and nationalities through associates from South and Central America, Mexico, the USA, the Caribbean, India, Africa, and Europe.

At CCOMGROUP, the co-chairmen think of diversity beyond one another’s heritage. They ensure everyone is treated equally and thus, strive to welcome all colleagues into CCOMGROUP’s offices with open arms and respect, giving everyone’s voice a chance to be heard. Because Miami is as a melting pot and key location for DEI (diversity, equity, and inclusion), the co-chairmen understand and support the benefit behind being a multicultural agency because it helps bring distinct perspectives that are reflective of the world we live in today. In fact, CCOMGROUP has completed projects in 10 languages and executed work in 8 countries to broaden their audience while creating a larger impact. Through efforts like this, the co-chairmen truly see the benefit of being an inclusive company because of the many opportunities to connect and/or have similar interests and values with current and future client partners.
“As business leaders, we strive and encourage our team to use their multinational backgrounds to adapt to each client partners’ goals and objectives. It’s in our DNA to be inclusive,” said Manny. “We have a great balance throughout our business when it comes to ethnicities, which makes a remarkable impact in the way we think. Currently, all our team members are multicultural, 70% being female and 30% male. Most leadership positions are run by the women of CCOMGROUP, and we also have associates who identify as part of the LGBTQ+ community. It’s because of our associates’ personable attitudes that we’re able to naturally welcome new individuals into the conversation,” added Luis.
Throughout the years, the firm has developed groundbreaking campaigns across a range of markets that have been recognized for resonating with each client’s target audience. Thanks to the co-chairmen and their team, CCOMGROUP is known to be an inclusive and powerhouse agency that specializes in advertising, creative services, marketing, media planning, social media and public relations.
