Heading south you journey through the picturesque Fleurieu Peninsula before boarding the ferry over to Kangaroo Island. Here you will be staying in the town of Penneshaw, home to a great range of dining options and the perfect spot to swim with the local dolphin and seal population along the stunning island coastlines. Today you have the opportunity to explore the island treasures. Visit local wineries, sample fresh local oysters, stock up on quality local honey, check out the seals lazing on the beach over at Seal Bay and spot wild native Australian animals including kangaroos, koalas, echidnas and many species of birds including the gorgeous glossy black-cockatoo. You might want to chill out along the white sandy beaches of Emu Bay or take that iconic photo at the Remarkable Rocks.
