ITINERARY

DAY 1: Arrive Darwin

Welcome to the top end capital Darwin. To check out the many amazing sights and attractions hidden in the city jump on the hop on, hop off bus. Don’t forget to head down to the harbour and watch the sunset before picking one of the many Asian inspired restaurants on the waterfront.

DAY 2: Darwin to Kakadu National Park

Today is the start of your 3 Day Kakadu & Litchfield Guided 4WD Expedition. Start your journey by heading out towards Kakadu National Park and join a wildlife cruise on Corroborree Billabong. This is a great opportunity to get fantastic photos of the local wildlife. Heading further in you will stop for a scenic picnic lunch on the East Alligator Riverbank with the opportunity to spot some crocs and flying foxes. Then travel on to the world famous Ubirr Rock in the north of the park. Ancient rock art and staggering 360o views over the Nardab floodplain and Arnhemland are provided. Tonight’s camp will be at an exclusive safari camp at Garnamarr at the base of the escarpment and within the National Park. Here you will be treated to a classic Aussie BBQ.

DAY 3: Kakadu National Park to Litchfield National Park

Rise early for a day filled with spectacular waterfalls and some great walks. Hike to the top of the Arnhemland Escarpment at Twin Falls and enjoy fantastic views and swimming in pristine pools. Hike to Jim Jim Falls, a 1km walk to the plunge pool for a refreshing swim surrounded by towering sandstone cliffs. From here you will head off to the camp at Litchfield National Park.

DAY 4: Litchfield National Park to Darwin

Wake early to the sounds of the wild Australian outback before heading into the Litchfield National Park. The first stop is Wangi Falls where you can take a swim in the beautiful natural plunge pool. Then visit Tolmer Falls

Enjoy a lovely picnic lunch and then head to Florence Falls for another cool swim. Before getting back into Darwin you will make one last stop to explore giant Cathedral Termite and Magnetic Termite mounds.

DAY 5: Depart Darwin

Free time in Darwin before you head back home. A great way to finish your Northern Territory adventure is with the ultimate face-to-face encounter with Australia’s most enthralling apex predator, the Saltwater crocodile at Crocosaurus Cove.
