ITINERARY

DAY 1: Arrive Alice Springs

Journey to the heart of Australia; Alice Springs is surrounded by stunning mountain range, vibrant red landscapes and rich with culture and history. After arriving you will make your way to your accommodation and settle in for the evening.

DAY 2: In Alice Springs

Today is all about this magnificent outback country town and it’s surrounds. Starting with a visit to historical John Flynn’s grave memorial before heading further out of town to the West MacDonnell Ranges. View spectacular panoramic landscapes with an array of sunburnt oranges, maroons, and purples. Enjoy scenic walks at both Simpson Gap and the Standley chasm where you have a chance to spot wildlife before heading back into Alice. In the afternoon you will travel to the historic telegraph pole which marks as the first settlement in Alice Springs. Discover how children learn in the desert with the School of the Air as well as how the Royal Flying Doctor Service came to be with the interactive storytelling museum. Finally, you will get the chance to touch some local lizards and snakes at the Alice Springs Reptile centre before finishing off the day with panoramic views of Alice from up top of ANZAC hill.

DAY 3: Depart Alice Springs

It’s your last morning in Alice before heading home. As a final farewell why not join a stunning 30 or 60 minute hot air balloon ride. You’ll be floating above the desert while you take in the spectacular views of the first sunlight rising over the land.

ITINERARY

DAY 1: Arrive Ayers Rock Resort

Welcome to the spiritual heart of Australia and home to our iconic natural wonder Uluru. After you have arrived board your transfer to Ayers Rock Resort which will be your home for the next 2 nights.

DAY 2: At Ayers Rock Resort

Rise early this morning and head out to the exclusive location of the Field of Light art exhibition. Arriving in complete darkness you will be able to enjoy the twinkle of 50,000 globes light up the desert. Head up to the sunrise viewing platform where you will enjoy a nice hot cuppa and watch as the first light hits the desert and highlights the natural landscape as the globes slowly dim out for the day. This afternoon you will visit the Kata Tjuta Culture centre where you will have time to explore local aboriginal art and learn out this desert region. Heading further into the national park you will discover the unique flora, fauna and intriguing cultural traditions of original owners, the Anangu. You will explore a number of caves, view ancient rock art painting and a short walk to the Mutitjulu Waterhole. The last stop is at the Sunset viewing platform where you will finish the day with a glass of bubbles and some nibbles as you watch the sun set into the western horizon. Watch the many shades of colour dance across Uluru before the vail of night takes over.

DAY 3: Depart Ayers Rock Resort

The morning is at leisure before boarding your transfer back to the airport.
