True Empowerment Means Shifting Your Energy Life can take so many different courses and it's important that you navigate through life feeling good, feeling empowered, and feeling capable. Having the proper Carol Juergensen Sheets framework and mental attitude is what will move you along in a positive direction, no matter what you have entailed what cards have been dealt to you. How would your life be different if you looked at every difficult situation as an opportunity to get stronger and to show the world that nothing can rob you from good mental health. People who have gone through cancer, lost children, experienced divorce, or bankruptcy, know that they couldn’t work through tough times without a positive attitude. Now you would never want to deny your feelings of loss, anger or grief but once you have experienced the feelings, it is important to recognize that you have the choice to put your life into a perspective that is empowering and enlightening. This means that if you have to go through a tax audit that you say to yourself that you were going to learn from the IRS and come out better for it. (I was even able to get money back) I recently interviewed a woman who had been through cancer. As I asked her if she felt like her cancer might return, she said absolutely not! I am confident that I have much more on this earth to give and I have no reason to believe the cancer is going to be part of the next chapter. Pessimistic people might say the cancer is much more likely to return then to stay in remission. However, this woman lives more fully because of her belief and may indeed combat a relapse because of it.
Have you ever felt that you've had more than your share of difficult times? How might you experience it differently? The truth of the matter is that true growth occurs from suffering and yet we get to choose how we suffer and how long we engage in that behavior. Do you determine how you are going to experience life and how it is going to affect you? When you recognize that important concept, you realize how strong you really are. Homework Assignment So I'm going to challenge you for the next 24 hours as you begin to have a negative thought, to shift that thought into an empowering one. Program your day to enjoy your life. You wake up in the morning and you tell yourself this is going to be a fabulous day. You then choose to read something inspiring as opposed to listen to the news to stop the negativity from entering into your day. You go for a 15-minute walk in hopes of noticing the splendor of the day. You get the kids ready for school and you kiss them on their forehead realizing what an important contribution you make by being their caregiver. You feel gratitude for having a job to go to each day. The gridlock on the freeway gives you an opportunity to take deep breaths and enjoy the quiet. As you make dinner you appreciate the vegetables that you are preparing for your family. As you lay your head on the pillow you tell yourself how safe and comforted you feel by the warmth and security of your bed. Although this homework assignment may seem simplistic you are teaching yourself to appreciate all that occurs before you and you shift your energy from being a bystander to a vibrant participant in this thing called LIFE.

Business Spotlight
Your Natural Best® ... A Customized Long-Term Plan For over 20-years, Chernoff Cosmetic Surgeons has brought state-of-the-art cosmetic procedures and exceptional patient care to Indianapolis. Advanced surgical, non-surgical, and aesthetic treatments combined with an extraordinary commitment to research and results have earned the practice a reputation that is difficult to match. In addition to having one of the largest and most contemporary Surgical and Laser Centers in the country, Dr. Chernoff is offers innovative skin care products, no-downtime treatments, and combination therapies based on cuttingedge science and research.
Stem Cell Stimulating Skin Care DefenAge
DefenAge is a new skin care line that uses the first patent-pending peptides called Defensins. Unlike human growth factors, Defensin peptides specifically target the skin's master stem cells, which scientists call LGR6-positive stem cells. These cells have the ability to create basal stem cells, which produce fresh, new keratinocytes throughout a person's lifetime. Defensin peptides target dormant stem cells to activate skin’s regenerative properties. Chernoff Cosmetic Surgeons is combining DefenAge with new Radio Frequency, Microneedling, and Laser treatments to expand the powerful skin improving benefits. Patients are seeing improvements in sagging skin, lines, wrinkles, sun damage, skin imperfections, scars, and active acne.
Skin Tone & Quality -- Radio Frequency(RF) Microneedling + DefenAge
The newest addition to Chernoff Cosmetic Surgeons armamentarium of skin improving treatments is called RF Microneedling. This treatment delivers energy to the deep dermis and sub-dermal skin layers. This deep heating causes the collagen to build and strengthen without damaging the outer layers of skin. The combination of RF Microneedle treatment is excellent for all skin types to improve aging skin.

Sun Damage, Unwanted Pigment, & More

Fractionated delivery systems ensure minimal downtime and are one of the most effective in-office laser treatments available. The laser penetrates the outer layer of the skin and seals off the treated area boosting collagen production. Other laser options exist that combine a micro skin peel with the treatment to boost the effectiveness of the laser.
Combination Injection Treatments
Dr. Chernoff and his nurse injectors have mastered the art of meticulous injection techniques. He uses new and combination treatments to smooth lines around the mouth, eyes, and restore lost volume to cheeks and lips. New volumizing dermal fillers add long-lasting volume and actually restore bulk to the mid-face. Some patients experience a non-surgical facelift while smoothing and softening facial lines and wrinkles. Other new injectable treatments fill lines, even lips, and remove stubborn fat under the chin creating beautiful sculpted necklines without surgery. Combining these advanced new injectables provides patients with results that have not been possible in the past. Additionally, Chernoff Cosmetic Surgeons
