HISTORY 1864 - 2014: 150 YEARS OF TAILORING YOUR DREAMS SIR JOHN TAYLOR Once upon a time a young passionate British gardener decided to try his luck on the French Riviera. His name… John Taylor. In 1854, at the age of 20, John Taylor was called upon by Mr Woolfield to work as a gardener in his Cannes domain. Mr Woolfield was a very active man in the community, who contributed to developments such as the first Anglican Church. It was then that John Taylor began to mingle amongst the high society. John Taylor’s expertise soon became apparent for all seeking to acquire a spot on the esteemed French Riviera, and thanks to his cunningness and flair, he rapidly became the reference in luxury real estate.. A TRUE FAMILY SPIRIT John Taylor’s unique entrepreneurial talent allowed him to become a pioneer by opening up the first real estate agency in 1864 at the age of 30. In 1884 he became… Sir John Taylor. Two years later his son Walter joined force with his admirable father. In true family spirit, Walter’s son, Jack, was then soon to jump on board. John Taylor managed an exceptional portfolio for the British, French and American nobility and political class, amongst them the Prince of Wales, King Edward VII, the French royal family, Lord Brougham and William Gladstone. EXPANSION The company continued to expand, extending to Nice, Monaco, Saint-JeanCap-Ferrat, Saint-Tropez, with the company headquarters on the Croisette in Cannes. In the 1990s John Taylor was acquired by Michel Pastor. Preserving John Taylor’s remarkable legacy and keeping the flame of family tradition, Michel Pastor, in 2006, appointed his daughter Delphine Pastor as president of the Group. Since then the company has expanded internationally and recently opened new agencies in Courchevel, Megève, Milan, Paris, Geneva, Gstaad, London and Doha.
SIR JOHN TAYLOR Il était une fois un jeune jardinier britannique passionné, décidé à tenter sa chance sur la Côte d’Azur. Son nom... John Taylor. En 1854, à l’âge de 20 ans, John Taylor, est recruté par M. Woolfield en tant que jardinier pour son domaine Cannois. Ce dernier, très actif au sein de la communauté, participe à différents projets tels que le développement de la première Eglise Anglicane. C’est alors que John Taylor commence à fréquenter la haute société. Bientôt son expertise devient incontournable pour toute personne en quête d’une propriété sur la Côte d’Azur, et grâce à son talent et son flair, il devient rapidement une véritable référence dans le secteur de l’immobilier de luxe. UN VÉRITABLE ESPRIT DE FAMILLE Le talent entrepreneurial unique de John Taylor lui permet de devenir un pionnier en ouvrant sa première agence immobilière en 1864 à l’âge de 30 ans. En 1884, il devient Sir John Taylor. Deux ans plus tard, son fils, Walter, rejoint l’affaire avec son admirable père. Dans un véritable esprit de famille, le fils de Walter, Jack, est prêt à se lancer dans l’entreprise. John Taylor réussit à constituer un portefeuille exceptionnel pour la noblesse britannique, française et américaine et la classe politique, parmi eux le prince de Galles, le roi Edouard VII, la famille royale française, Lord Brougham et William Gladstone. CROISSANCE La société continue à se développer, s’étendant ainsi à Nice, Monaco, Saint-Jean-Cap-Ferrat, Saint-Tropez, le siège de la société étant sur la Croisette à Cannes. Dans les années 90, Michel Pastor acquiert la société John Taylor. Préservant ainsi le patrimoine remarquable de John Taylor et conservant la flamme de la tradition familiale, Michel Pastor, en 2006, nomine donc naturellement sa fille, Delphine Pastor, en tant que président du groupe. Depuis, la société se développe à l’international et a récemment ouvert de nouvelles agences à Courchevel, Megève, Milan, Paris, Genève, Gstaad, Londres et Doha.

PARIS AREA PARIS AREA by Jean-Philippe Roux, Agency Manager PARIS Despite the noted 1.8% decrease in price in all Parisian districts and the increase in sales volumes in 2014, the luxury real estate market destined particularly at the international clientele, has followed a distinct logic. This prestigious market that John Taylor Paris operates in, from its agency situated in the heart of the Golden Triangle, encompasses properties of all sizes (from second residencies of 40m2 made to feel like hotel suites to private mansions), located exclusively in the best addresses of the center of Paris, such as : The Golden Triangle, the surroundings of the Trocadéro and Avenue Foch, Place Vendôme and the Gardens of the Tuileries, the area qualified as the lower Marais, followed by the left bank of the river Seine with the Champ de Mars and the historic 6th and 7th districts. The recent increase in the number of family apartments for sale, mostly situated outside of these areas, does not correspond to foreign clients’ in quest of a luxury secondary residence. For foreign buyers, representing 60 % of our clients, Paris remains above all a dream destination, and its best addresses a secure long term investment. In terms of value and quality, Paris is an attractive capital in comparison to its international competitors, and remains historically preserved from speculative market fluctuations. Si pour la totalité des arrondissements parisiens les prix sont aujourd’hui en baisse de 1.8% sur un an avec un volume de ventes en augmentation depuis le début de 2014, le marché de l’immobilier d’exception, destiné tout particulièrement à la clientèle étrangère, obéit à une logique distincte. Ce marché d’exception, sur lequel John Taylor Paris intervient depuis son agence située en plein cœur du triangle d’or, concerne toutes les superficies (du pied-à -terre de 40 m2 aménagé comme une suite d’hôtel à l’hôtel particulier) exclusivement dans les meilleures localisations du centre de Paris : le Triangle d’Or, les abords du Trocadéro et de l’avenue Foch, la Place Vendôme et le jardin des Tuileries, le bas Marais puis, sur la Rive Gauche, le Champ de Mars et les quartiers historiques du 6e et 7e arrondissement. L’augmentation récente du nombre de grands appartements familiaux à vendre, situés le plus souvent en dehors de ces secteurs, ne vient donc pas répondre à la demande des clients étrangers à la recherche d’une résidence secondaire d’exception. Pour les acquéreurs étrangers, représentant 60 % de nos clients, Paris demeure avant tout une destination de rêve et pour ses meilleures adresses un investissement sûr à long terme. En valeur et en qualité, Paris est une capitale attractive par rapport à ses concurrentes mondiales et reste historiquement préservée des sursauts spéculatifs.
