will have plenty of options as they fill out the Plattsburg City Council. With four seats up for grabs, 10 total residents threw their hats into the ring. That includes three candidates for mayor. Incumbent Mayor
James Kennedy has filed for another term with the gavel, while two challengers—Ricky Volkman and David Jett—have also filed. Alderman John Mirosh has signed up for another term in Ward I, while challengers Ammon Wa-
ters and Larry Schussler have also filed for the seat. Ward III Alderman Scott Gordee has filed for re-election, while Travis Brooks and Josh Tulley also signed up for the seat. ||Continued on A2

It was a packed house Friday night at Plattsburg High School as the Tigers and Lady Tigers played host to rival Lathrop for a varsity double-header. The two schools split the contests, with the undefeated Lady Mules (11-0) winning the girls game 58-32 and the rolling Tigers (12-2) winning the boys game 61-34.
