秋意漸濃，正是滿山林木換上新裝的季節。綠林脫去舊衣，穿上嶄新的紅葉裝，帶有一絲絲的秋天韻味，連綿的山巒被染上色彩，美得如畫。秋天往往比較短暫，要欣賞秋葉的美景就要好好把握時間！

在日本這個四季分明的國度，一到秋天，由北至南開始泛紅開去，掀起一波波的紅葉浪潮。9月下旬起始，步入日本紅葉季，隨着漫天搖曳的紅葉換上新裝，提醒着人們冬天的距離不遠了，在賞紅葉期間亦請緊記為自己添衣。

Blessed with four distinct seasons, Japan prides herself on the great variety of activities and events throughout the year. Maple leaf hunting is a grand affair in autumn where both locals and visitors from afar gather around shrines, castles, parks and other landmarks to admire the red-hued canopies. From late September, red maple leaf patches will start to sweep across Japan from north to south, heralding the arrival of autumn. 細看紅葉日與夜 KORANKEI: TWO MAPLE EXPERIENCES IN ONE PLACE

嵐溪，以附近的「香積寺」及有清新空氣之意的「嵐氣」二詞命名，屬巴川流域，離名古屋只需40分鐘車程，是日本的賞楓勝地。當地4,0 0 0 棵的楓樹，據說是由香積寺的三榮和尚在1634年種植的一棵楓樹開始。至今一到秋分時節，楓樹有紅、橙、黃，互相輝映。白天站於香嵐溪溪澗，細聽涓涓流水，颯颯風聲，配上紅葉沙沙作響，聽着大自然的協奏曲，令人豁然開朗。入夜的香嵐溪更是如夢似幻，射燈劃破漆黑的密林，豔麗的紅葉在燈光中露出，又是另一番景致。

ocated in Aichi Prefecture about 40 minutes drive from Nagoya, Korankei is a gorge in the Tomoe River Basin. There you can find over 4,000 maple trees in shades of red, orange and yellow, interweaving to form a most impressive scenery. Legend has it that the trees were planted by a monk named Sanei of Kojaku-ji Temple in 1634. Unwind in the daytime by listening to the trickling of water and rustling of leaves in the breeze. At nightfall, enjoy the panoramic view of illuminated maple leaves â&#x2C6;&#x2019; a most unforgettable sight for many visitors.

Untouched and serene, it is one of many national historic sites in Japan; a secluded garden tucked away from the hubbub of the capital. 少，參觀人數以當地人居多。這裏少了城市的喧囂，多了一份恬靜，令遊客更輕鬆自在。公園內有一道箕面瀑布，兩旁種滿楓樹，看着一片片的紅葉落下，任由水流沖走，相當愜意！

Experience the Magic 小豆島是瀨戶內海的第二大島，風光秀麗迷人，連電影版的《魔女宅急便》都在此取景拍攝。而島上最具人氣的景點便要數充滿地中海風情的橄欖公園。由於小豆島與希臘的米洛斯島於1989年締結為姊妹島，橄欖公園內興建了一座歐陸式風車以紀念兩地的友好關係。看着純白的風車在一望無際的草地上徐徐轉動，令人不自覺地放慢步調。遊客可免費借用魔法掃把，扮演飛天小魔女，體驗翺翔天際的滋味。

A trip to the Olive Park is a must-do for everyone visiting Shodoshima, the second largest island in the Seto Inland Sea. Filled with olive trees, the park features a picturesque Greek windmill, which was built to celebrate the sisterisland relationship between Shodoshima and the Milos Island in Greece. Visitors can ride on a broom and mimic the pose of a witch in the liveaction movie ‘Kiki’s Delivery Service’. The experience is nothing short of magical!

湄公河貫穿的柬埔寨、越南及泰國在地理位置上相互依靠，是香港人旅行的「金三角」熱點。如果說香港是中西文化匯聚的大都會，柬越泰則是充滿宗教色彩的國度。三地皆屬於印度文化圈內，佛教是越南最大的宗教信仰，亦為柬國和泰國所信奉。另外，柬埔寨曾為越南屬國，其後更被割讓過予泰國。在歷史文化盤亘交錯的同時，各地亦不失其獨特的風格。

haring not only the Mekong River but also the same Buddhist faith, three ASEAN countries – Cambodia, Vietnam and Thailand – are now hot destinations for Hong Kong tourists who commonly refer to them collectively as the Golden Triangle. Cambodia was once a protectorate of Vietnam and later ceded to Thailand, which was also known as Siam. Given such a geopolitical history, it is not uncommon to spot a smattering of Thai and Vietnamese elements in the indigenous culture of Cambodia. 高布斯濱的水底祈福 BLESSINGS FROM A RIVERBED WONDER

淙淙流水洗刷着羅貞陀羅跋摩二世建造的浮雕，縱然經歷了千年洗禮、日曬雨淋，浮雕依然立體，建造者的鬼斧神工可見一斑。

高布斯濱位於暹粒河的源頭，河床上的神像跟林迦及優尼石刻呈現出當時人民對信仰的忠誠，流過神像河水意味着帶有濕婆神的祝福，於是高布斯濱成為了人們所膜拜的聖地之一。由入口開始，走過一段1.5公里的山路，約40分鐘後便到達目的地。走上浮雕的所在地時偶爾要攀過幾塊大石、經過無數枝藤，彷彿是跟隨着前人的步伐探索未知之地。水底浮雕所帶來的震撼，更能讓攀山涉水的疲憊頓時煙消雲散。

bal Spean or ‘Bridge Head’ in Khmer, a world-class riverbed wonder situated at the fountainhead of Siem Reap River, is accessible by a 1.5km hiking path traversing stones and vines. It is a grand archaeological site with myriads of stone carvings dedicated to Hindu divinities headed by God Shiva. Aptly dubbed ‘the valley of a thousand lingas’ by locals, the exquisite carvings dating a millennium back are still in good shape in defiance of the destructive weathering process brought about by natural elements. This is an amazing wonder indeed! Dispel your hiking fatigue and enjoy a refreshing shower under the waterfall near the massive carvings. You will certainly relish in its instant invigorating effect for many days to come.

吳哥城的衣着要求 Caution! Dress Code in Angkor Thom

特色加油站 Petrol stations in disguise

暹粒政府已收緊對遊客的衣着要求。到訪吳哥窟時盡量穿着有袖上衣及過膝的褲子，以表對神明的尊重。 To show respect for the divinities, revealing dressing is strongly discouraged, if not banned, when visiting Angkor Thom.

有些路邊攤上會擺放一瓶瓶用汽水瓶或是威士忌酒樽裝着的黃色液體。別以為是當地的特色飲品，那些是加進汽車的汽油！Sometimes, visitors may see some bottles filled with yellow liquid on offer at roadside stalls. Don't ever try to sip the liquid, which is none other than gasoline.

南城門−柬國神話「乳海翻騰」 The MUST SEE Churning of the Ocean of Milk大大吳哥城共有 5 座城門，當中南城門是由小吳哥到巴戎寺的必經之地，其雕像展現出著名的印度教神話 −「乳海翻騰」。 Of all the five gates in Angkor Thom, the Southern Gate is the best preserved one with sculptures chronicling the famous Hindu myth 'Churning of the Ocean of Milk'.

獨一無二的吳哥窟入場證 Personalized Angkor Passes 買吳哥窟入場證時，售票處設有鏡頭讓遊客拍一張大頭照印在入場證上，每次入寺廟時須把入場證展示出來。 At the ticket office of Angkor Thom, visitors are required to take pictures for their passes for presentation each time they enter a temple.

之一，亦是宮崎駿創作《天空之城》的藍本。在木棧道放眼望去，四周都是一片石海，有些更布滿青苔，為該地添上絲絲原野的質樸。穿梭在這片廢墟之中時，樹木跟寺廟融為一體，蔓藤繞枝，在木棧道的最高點才能大概勾勒出寺廟的輪廓，難以想像這裏曾經是一個跟小吳哥規模相約的寺廟。雖然位置較為偏遠，但走在其中就像一層一層地掀開寺廟的神秘面紗，當中探險氛圍絕對讓人感到不枉此行。

日落皇家浴池 SUNSET VIEWING SPOT

在小吳哥寺前的蓮花池看日出，大概是每個遊人到訪吳哥窟的基本行

程之一。而看日落的地方選擇則比較多，要是想避開熙攘的人潮，皇家浴池便是一個靜謐的觀賞日落勝地。皇家浴池是古時皇室成員舉行洗浴儀式的人工湖，位於班蒂喀黛對面，是經常被觀光客忽略的景點。浴池的前方是一個十字形的大平台，兩旁各有一隻大石獅及巨蛇欄杆，而另外三側則被草地林木包圍。在等待日落期間，可在浴池的左側攤上野餐墊或席地而坐，享受無人打擾的恬靜時光。黃昏時分，紅霞在不知不覺間佔據天際，夕陽的光芒映照在池水上，皇家浴池瞬間成為了天空之鏡，呈現出令人目酣神醉的吳哥園林景致。

越南小吳哥 LITTLE ANGKOR THOM IN VIETNAM

在越南芽莊也有一個小吳哥窟，就是供奉庇佑占婆王

國及漁民的天依女神的印度教建築ー婆那加塔群。雖然規模比吳哥窟小，但其建築特色卻別樹一格。可惜在經歷千年歲月的侵蝕後，塔群只剩下4座建築：北塔、中塔、南塔及西北塔，每塊黃磚皆刻上歷史的烙印。由遠處望去，塔群古樸滄桑，滲透出濃厚的歷史感及宗教氣氛。婆那加塔群共有3層，平台上共有22根巨型石柱，頂層是居民奉拜天依女神的佛塔。進入佛塔時要脫鞋，穿着露肩衣服或短褲的話須借用寺廟提供的僧袍。即使塔內香火裊繞，地板依然一塵不染，可見信眾對其信仰的虔誠。另外，塔外不時還有當地傳統的舞蹈表演，而且塔群旁的小型展覽廳亦展示出不同的雕塑及介紹其歷史，讓遊客更全面地感受當地的宗教文化特色。

玉佛寺的傳奇故事 THE WAT PHRA KAEW LEGEND

清萊玉佛寺的外牆充滿着紅金交纏的雕刻，走進大殿時頓時被一座與別不同的玉色佛像吸引住目光。在華麗的金箔包圍下，當中蘊藏的是一個怎樣的故事呢？

因為一次閃電擊中了一座舊佛塔，繼而發掘出一尊玉雕佛像，使原本寂寂無聞的竹林寺搖身一變，改名為玉佛寺，並成為泰國人最重視的寺廟之一。玉佛經過考察後被推測為建造於斯里蘭卡，然後輾轉跨過孟加拉灣被運到暹粒，並曾經放置於吳哥窟受信眾供奉。後來因為戰亂的關係，玉佛曾被移送至泰國北部的南邦、寮國前首都龍坡邦及現首都永珍。經過300多年的流離遷徙，玉佛終於被運返曼谷，更在26年前於北京雕製了另一尊如出一轍的玉佛供奉於玉佛寺內。相隔550年，被遺忘的玉佛最終回到故鄉清萊，衪的故事更一直為世人所津津樂道。在玉佛寺內除了可參訪寺廟內的佛像外，牆壁上的繪圖亦把如此傳奇的故事原原本本地呈現出來，值得細味一番。

espite its lavishly decorated exterior showcasing Lanna style sculpture art, Wat Phra Kaew in Chiang Rai had a humble beginning, and was formerly known as Wat Pa Yia, literally translating to Bamboo Forest Temple. It was only after the unearthing of a jade Buddha statue there that the obscure establishment shot to fame, and is now known as one of the most sacred temples in Thailand. The origin of the jade Buddha statue is still a mystery but speculations has it that it was crafted in Sri Lanka and kept in Angkor Thom, Cambodia before crossing over to Northern Thailand and Laos after a series of wars and upheavals. It finally settled down in Bangkok, putting an end to its 300 year long drifting. Thus, the jade Buddha statue visitors see in Wat Phra Kaew is actually a replica crafted in Beijing in 1991. Besides admiring the collection of Buddha statues inside the temple, the vivid mural paintings telling the jade Buddha legend is also well worth studying. 01

太與的親密接觸空長久以來，地球人都對宇宙與太空充滿好奇及

憧憬。雖然仍未有一個真正的答䅁，但為了尋找真相，各個國家早年開始已經着手發展升空的技術，而隨着科技的進步，一直似是未能觸碰的天空，亦慢慢被人們知曉。種子島既為日本一個重要的發展中心，來到島上當然要一訪宇宙中心。旅客可以跟着免費導賞團，一邊聽着講解，一邊參觀火箭發射場，一睹火箭的真實大小及真火箭的內部結構。另外，還有一些饒富趣味的展覽及各類互動設施，以深入淺出的手法，去理解宇宙及火箭原理。

紅樹林，想必對香港人來說並不陌生。但又有

多少人到訪過紅樹林呢？在種子島，可以發掘紅樹林的千姿百態。遊客帶齊裝備，穿上可以濕身的衣着、防曬用品、水及一條布巾，便可以跟着領隊，以獨木舟勇闖紅樹林秘境。導賞員會先簡單介紹划船的方法，待大家練習完成後，就可以下水探險了！整個過程不算吃力，因為中途會有很多時間在講解種子島紅樹林的各個特色，基本上划5分鐘左右就能稍作休息。除了因天氣炎熱而較辛苦之外，一般成人均可以順利完成整個划舟之旅。

01. 岩石的內部比起其外表，拍照起來更有感覺。

子島東岸有不少由大平洋海浪沖刷而成的海蝕岩石，而其中唯一的海蝕洞窟，據說可以容納 1,000人，因而命名為「千座之岩屋」。若想走進千座之岩屋內近距離目睹大自然的奇妙威力，便要趁潮退的時候前往。另外，由於附近沙灘的沙質比較柔軟，走路時腳掌會輕輕下陷，建議遊人帶備拖鞋更換。岩屋十分空曠，沿着深邃的「秘密通道」行走，讓人宛如化身為地質探險家。站在拱形的岩洞中聽浪，看着眼前一片汪洋大海，時間彷彿靜止下來。尤幸的是，這裏尚未被觀光化，所以人跡相對罕至，仍保留自然的風貌。千座之岩屋地址：日本鹿兒島縣熊毛郡南種子町平山廣田交通：從西之表港乘車到濱田海水浴場，車程約1小時

在海岬尖端眺望秘史乍看門倉岬的照片，會覺得這裏只是一個漂亮的海岸。當站在岬上，遠眺一望無際的海洋、腳踏綠油油的草地時，亦只會為眼前美景所着迷。可是，看似平和舒適的景色原來隱藏了一段不為人知的歷史。據說距今約 50 0年前，這裏是第一支洋槍登陸的海岸，因當時日本仍處於一個以刀刃作為主要武器的時代，所以這個海岸可謂是見證了日本刀槍史轉變的重要景點。

深入槍械製造據點自從由中國人帶來了第一支洋槍後，日本人得悉其厲害，開始積極研究槍支，並發明了更多不同功能及造型的槍炮。因種子島地理位置鄰近中國，方便從中國運入製作火槍的原材料及火藥。使這個小島變身成製造槍械的主要地點。館內展示了多款不同時代使用過的槍械，保留得十分完整。

穿越時代的體驗在種子島博物館不遠處有一座傳統的日本大宅，於18世紀末建成，由一名姓羽生的人所擁有。及後，到了19世紀則由種子島家族進駐其中。屋邸面積廣闊，現時只有其中一間門口及茶室長年開放給遊人進入。遊人可以坐在屋內，品嘗當地獨有的茶點，涼風送爽，別有一番風味。 01

只要試過這裏的雞食，肯定對雞肉有一個重新的定義。不同於困在籠子裏長大的雞，種子島的雞肉質有嚼勁，雞味濃郁，肌肉居多，只帶有少量脂肪，肉質不是滑嫩，反而是煙煙靭靭，軟硬程度剛剛好，口感似魷魚。至於被稱為「英國雞」，乃聞說120多年前，因有一隊英國船隊在海上觸礁，漂流到種子島並得到島民的幫助，為了答謝他們，船員把船上作為食糧的雞送給了島上的居民們，此雞因而得名。 01. 品嘗英國雞的方法有好幾種，但當中以鐵板直接炙燒最為惹味。 01

若要前往種子島，可以在鹿兒島本港南埠頭乘搭高速船「Toppy」，船程約需1.5小時。隨着高速船駛出浩瀚無垠的大海，首先躍入眼眸的便是櫻島，沿途風光以大海為主，偶爾還會與散落的小島擦身而過。高速船的速度相當穩定，即使是會暈船浪的人，亦不會有太大感覺，再加上座位舒適寬敞，睡一覺醒來便到目的地了！種子島的碼頭位於北面地區，由北面駕駛到南面的景點，只要約1小時。如果想節省時間的話，更可考慮乘搭來往種子島機場及鹿兒島機場的內陸機，時間約為40分鐘，價錢大約JPY5,000~JPY10,000（根據不同航空公司有所不同）。

Traditional Wheat Bread 喜洲位於大理古城20多公里的一個白族小鎮，他們最拿手的粑粑是個小麥製成的烤餅，當地人稱為破酥粑粑。粑粑有鹹有甜，甜的以白糖、紅糖、豆沙及玫瑰花為餡料；鹹的以鮮肉及蔥花製成。廚師會把粑粑放到特製烤盤，以炭火慢烤而成，新鮮出爐的粑粑外酥內軟，不油不膩，吃一個剛剛好。 Baba is a traditional style charcoal-grilled wheat bread very popular in Xizhou situated 20km from Dali. The bread comes in sweet and savory varieties. The former is made with sugar, roses and red beans while the latter incorporates meat and onion as ingredients. Freshly made Baba is crispy outside yet tender inside and makes for a perfect grab-and-go bite.

七彩圖騰童話村

The Rainbow Village project is the brainchild of army veteran Huang Yong-fu, who has acquired the ‘Rainbow Grandpa’ fame thanks to his paintings which now adorn the village. 東海大學ー路思義教堂

Embrace the Beauty of Architecture 東海大學路思義教堂是知名建築師貝聿銘、陳其寬及張肇康所設計，教堂之所以聞名是由於其風格有別於一般教堂。順着學校紅磗牆門口的小道直走，就能看到一座以琉璃瓦舖蓋、弧形線條的教堂，屹立在青蔥綠地之上。從教堂側面看，猶如雙手合十禱告，特別的是整座教堂並沒有用上柱子作支架，反而在該有柱作支撐的地方裝上大片玻璃，以簡單線條表達出教堂的莊嚴。每逢假日，這裏更是人山人海，在教堂旁的草地上野餐或在樹蔭下小睡片刻，成為假日首選的悠閒活動。 02

Named after an American missionary and jointly designed by the renowned architects: Ieoh Ming Pei, Chi-kuan Chen and Chao-kang Chang, this simple yet stately chapel stands out amongst other campus buildings modeled on the ancient Tang architecture. The symbolic cross made of steel tops the upward tapering walls which are decked with glazed diamond-shaped tiles that resemble a pair of praying hands when viewed from afar. Drop in to appreciate the ingenious maestro design of doing away with supporting pillars and holding the slanting walls together by glazed slots. Visitors can access this landmark piece via a pathway leading from the university entrance flanked by red brick walls. 台東七彩熱氣球之旅 TAITUNG BALLOON FESTIVAL

天，是個想奔往藍天的季節。台東的鹿野高台是近年的新興熱點，每年舉辦的熱氣球嘉年華，吸引不少人前往該地。遊客可從花蓮乘坐火車到台東，車程約2-3小時不等。鹿野鄉是農業鄉鎮，至今仍保留純樸美好的大自然景色，站在綠油油的草原上，周遭的田野風光一覽無遺。自2011年起，這裏每年盛大舉行的台灣國際熱氣球嘉年華亦會於本年6月30日至8月6日在台東鹿野高台舉行。遊客可選擇綁有繩索的熱氣球體驗或自由飛體驗，每個熱氣球只能載2至4位乘客，與三五知己同行，在半空上嬉笑打鬧，絕對是個難忘的體驗。飛行體驗全程約30分鐘，隨着熱氣球緩緩升起，遊客能鳥瞰漫山遍野的茶園，飛過鹿野高台後，熱氣球會越過龍田村上空，看盡鹿野連綿山丘及良田阡陌。

舊日本監獄

Old Japanese Jail 擁有80多年歷史的舊日本監獄呆立於鳳凰木下，顯得別具歷史韻味，讓人漸漸遺忘它曾經的事跡。不要小看這座現在雜草叢生的監獄，它可曾在二戰時期及之後肩負了 10多年的收押工作。空蕩的囚室中，植物絕處蓬生，部分更從沉重的鐵閘中伸出小手，或是從細小的窗口中探出頭；斑斑的牆身上仍保留着當年囚犯所刻寫的筆跡，讓原本嚴肅的監獄增添了一份緊張感，喜歡探險的朋友不妨來冒險一下吧！ Built in 1929 and located in the village of Garapan, the jail comprises of two blocks and was mainly used for detaining war prisoners during WWII. Part of the bullet-scarred outer wall surrounding the jail still stands there. Leaving a mark on the hallway walls are scores of names and home towns of the soldiers detained there. Perfect for history buffs and the inquisitive visitor, this deserted jail might just leave your spine tingling after your visit!

Garapan Street Market 熱鬧的加拉班街集市，在每個周四晚都會在海濱路（Beach Road）展開一連串精彩的體驗，絕對是認識當地文化的好地方。夜市兩旁擺賣着各種菜餚、串燒、飲料、水果、衣服和手信，絕對不會餓着又買不到東西！除此之外，十分推薦看一場傳統的舞蹈表演，由年輕男女組成的舞蹈團讓人不自覺地融入塞班島的快樂中。 This vibrant night fair is held every Thursday evening right next to Beach Road. 雞蛋仔源於50年代的香港，據說當時小販以低價購入雜貨店破了的雞蛋，加入牛油，麵粉製成雞蛋仔，真正的雞蛋仔來源眾說紛紜，而這個版本最具公信力因而流傳至今。

Whenever I travel alone, I always think about how perfect it would be if my family were with me. After traveling with my family for several times, I have finally come up with some tips on planning family trips and hope that you will find them useful.

在網上搜尋住宿的時候，我會透過地圖挑選車站附近的酒店，再比對價錢。與長輩出遊，酒店與車站的距離比價錢更為重要。長輩習慣旅行團安排膳食的模式，所以挑選酒店時亦要盡量選擇包含早餐的酒店。如果沒有合心意的酒店，或者可試試民宿，不少民宿的設計風格十分獨特，位置也很方便呢！

必到的地方實在太多，令人眼花撩亂。但緊記不要因此而把行程排得密密麻麻。先列出想去的景點，在地圖上標籤，根據位置安排行程，再從中取捨。建議一天內只去三至四個小景點，而需時較長的景點，建議一天兩個就好了，畢竟和家人享受相處的時光才是旅行的重點。

Convenience is far more important than budget when arranging a trip with the elders. I usually list out the hotels near metro stations before comparing the prices. Hotels with breakfast included are highly recommended, as the elders are used to travel with tour groups with meals well prepared for them. Besides, B&Bs (Bed and Breakfast) are also good for accommodation. Some of them are also located in convenient locations with unique and distinctive designs!

Although there are many glamorous spots, remember not to plan an extremely tight schedule. First, list out all the spots in which you and your family members are interested in. Then, mark the places on the map and arrange the schedule depending on their distance. If your time is packed with attractions, just keep some for your next trip and enjoy the time with your family instead. The experience of being on a holiday with your family is priceless, and more important than the number of attractions you visit. Prioritise!

3. 交通 How to Travel? 若當地鐵路設備完善，不妨考慮購買一日券或是周遊券，不但節省時間和金錢，還不必每次費時排隊購票。如果您有駕駛執照，自駕遊絕對是個好選擇！不想費神駕車的話，建議在行程中抽取一兩天參加一些有專車接送的當地旅遊團。只要在網上搜尋時輸入目的地及本地團等關鍵字就能夠輕易預訂。 Why not buy some travel passes to save time and money if the transportation system in your destination is well developed? For those who have a driving license, self-drive definitely makes your trip much smoother! 團隊成員訪問 Meet the Team With your many years as a flight attendant, what was your first motivation in choosing this path? I am originally from Wakayama located next to Osaka, but I did my high school in the States for one year as an AFS exchange student. During my time there, I engaged with different cultures from the Americans to other exchange students, and found my interest in an international environment. When I went back to Osaka, I worked at the airport in shops, cafes and the hotels, and started to be interested in being a flight attendant. Working amongst different cultures can be hard and challenging sometimes but I still enjoy flying every day. Which is your favorite HK Express destination and why? I like Taiwan very much. I find the Taiwanese very friendly, kind and warm hearted. When I first visited Taipei, I got lost and I was checking the map on the street. Suddenly, a Taiwanese guy asked me, ‘Do you need any help?’ in English. How kind! I also enjoy delicious Taiwanese food and its natural hot springs. Any tips you can share with flight attendant hopefuls? First of all, study abroad for at least one year to broaden your horizons and get comfortable being in an international environment. If your first language is not English, it is very important to learn the language.

Ryosuke IMANAKA 空中服務員 Ryosuke 跟我們分享他的工作點滴。 HK Express Flight Attendant, Ryosuke, tells us about his work. 您當初為什麼會選擇成為空中服務員？在高中的時候，我參加了為期一年的交流生計劃到美國交流，因而離開了我的家鄉－和歌山。在交流期間，我認識了很多不同國家的人。了解不同文化後，我才發現自己對世界各地的文化有濃厚的興趣。回到家鄉後，我開始在機場工作，分別當過餐廳、商店和機場酒店的員工。後來便漸漸對空中服務員這個行業產生興趣，於是決定投身其中。在各國文化交匯的客機上工作，難免會遇上不同的困難，但我仍然十分享受每天的飛行旅程。

您最喜歡的 HK Express 航點是？我非常喜歡台灣，因為台灣人十分友善和熱心。我第一次到台北旅遊的時候迷路了，站在街上翻查地圖，正感到無助時，一位台灣人主動用英語為我提供協助，令我感到十分親切！另外，台灣的美食及天然溫泉都令我對她的熱愛有增無減呢！

Secondly, having previous experience in a customer service related field such as restaurants, hotels or airlines will help you to get through the interview, especially if it involves regular contact with foreigners.

HK Express cares about our Guests’ health, safety and comfort onboard Safety first • Please read the safety instruction card in the back of each seat and pay special attention to our cabin crew during the safety demonstration at the beginning of each flight. • We value the comfort and safety of each of our Guests, including those with infants. All infants must be seated on the lap of an adult for the duration of the flight unless an additional seat has been purchased. Please be advised that your infant must however be strapped onto the adult’s lap with the infant seatbelt during takeoff and landing, and at any other time as instructed by the crew. • Laptops, Tablet and AV equipment must be switched off when the seatbelt sign is on. Guests are required not to use remote control or Bluetooth devices as they can interfere with the aircraft’s communications and navigation systems. • Loose items such as handbags or laptops must be stored underneath the seat in front or in the overhead lockers during take-off and landing.

No smoking • All HK Express flights are non-smoking. Please note that it is a criminal offence to smoke in any part of the aircraft. Your health & comfort • Try to walk around the cabin from time to time during your flight to encourage blood circulation, avoiding fatigue and muscle stiffness. • We would also recommend some simple stretching exercises every hour such as flexing your toes and raising your knees gently towards your chest. These exercises can potentially reduce the risks of blood clots in the legs, or deep vein thrombosis (DVT). • If you are prone to poor leg circulation, wearing specially designed flight socks or compression stockings can be extremely beneficial. • We recommend that our Guests try to minimize caffeine and alcohol consumption onboard to prevent health problems such as headaches, bloating and dehydration. Drinking water and fruit juices are the best options to keep your body suitably hydrated.
