Why dive Ishigaki? One of the top reasons is manta rays. The waters here have a number of manta viewing points, including ‘cleaning stations', rocky coral h e a d s wh e re th e m ajes tic rays come for a symbiotic spa treatment: parasite-eating fish that live on the up-croppings nibble the rays clean. Other targets, depending on the season, can include giant cuttlefish, dogtooth tuna, green turtles, the occasional reef shark and a unique topography of caves, caverns and rocky valleys. In Japan, weddings may be Christian, Buddhist, Shinto or secular, where couples choose their own style of ceremony. While the white wedding gown has become increasingly popular around the world, most Japanese brides lean towards to wearing a traditional pure white kimono for the formal ceremony, symbolizing purity and maidenhood. Grooms on the other hand, usually wear montsuki, which is a formal kimono in black. Items with strong symbolic meaning are often present in the wedding, including bamboo (prosperity and purity), origami cranes (good fortune and peace in marriage) and strings of beautiful beads (union of two into one).

Traditionally cooked on an open flame over low heat, the skewered meat is rarely marinated but flavored with soy sauce, sake, mirin and sugar. Yakitori is typically glazed with rice wine dipping sauce called tare, adding a sweet, salty and silky taste.

HK Express cares about our Guests' health, safety and comfort onboard
• Please read the safety instruction card in the back of each seat and pay special attention to our cabin crew during the safety demonstration at the beginning of each flight. • We value the comfort and safety of each of our Guests, including those with infants. All infants must be seated on the lap of an adult for the duration of the flight unless an additional seat has been purchased. Please be advised that your infant must however be strapped onto the adult’s lap with the infant seatbelt during take-off and landing, and at any other time as instructed by the crew. • Laptops, Tablet and AV equipment must be switched off when the seatbelt sign is on. Guests are required not to use remote control or Bluetooth devices as they can interfere with the aircraft’s communications and navigation systems.
• Try to walk around the cabin from time to time during your flight to encourage blood circulation, avoiding fatigue and muscle stiffness. • We would also recommend some simple stretching exercises every hour such as flexing your toes and raising your knees gently towards your chest. These exercises can potentially reduce the risks of blood clots in the legs, or deep vein thrombosis (DVT). • If you are prone to poor leg circulation, wearing specially designed flight socks or compression stockings can be extremely beneficial. • We recommend that our Guests try to minimize caffeine and alcohol consumption onboard to prevent health problems such as headaches, bloating and dehydration. Drinking water and fruit juices are the best options to keep your body suitably hydrated.
