2 สัปดาห์ผา่ นไปอย่างรวดเร็ ว บางสโมสรก็ยงั อยูใ่ นช่วงการสถาปนา คณะกรรมการบริ หารสโมสรชุดใหม่และการเคาะฆ้องครั้งแรกเป็ น ปฐมฤกษ์ ขอแสดงความยินดีดว้ ยอีกครั้งนะครับ เมื่อ 2 วันที่ผา่ นมา เราได้มีงานสาคัญของภาค ซึ่งทุกสโมสรได้ไปเข้า ร่ วม คือสัมมนามูลนิธิโรตารี หวังว่าทุกท่านคงจะได้รับความรู้ ความ เข้าใจมากขึ้นเกี่ยวกับมูลนิธิโรตารี ทั้งในด้านการบริ จาคและการทา โครงการ Global Grant นอกจากนี้ บางสโมสรอาจได้เลือกที่จะมี ส่ วนร่ วมในโครงการ Global Grant โครงการใดโครงการหนึ่ง จาก ทั้งหมด 6 โครงการ จาก 6 สโมสรที่ได้มานาเสนอในวันนั้นด้วย สาหรับข่าวสาคัญในอี-นิวส์ฉบับนี้ คือ การชาระค่าบารุ งโรตารี สากล สาหรับครึ่ งปี แรก (กรกฎาคม – ธันวาคม 2558) และค่าบารุ งภาครายปี ซึ่งโรแทเรี ยนทุกท่านต้องชาระภายในระยะเวลาที่กาหนด เพื่อรักษา สมาชิกภาพของสโมสรในระบบของโรตารี สากล อนึ่ง ทางคณะกรรมการประชาสัมพันธ์ภาคเห็นว่ามีหลายท่านยังสับสน ในการส่ งข่าวเพื่อประชาสัมพันธ์ และเพื่อให้เกิดประโยชน์สูงสุ ด จึงขอ อธิบายถึงช่องทางต่างๆและวัตถุประสงค์ในอี-นิวส์ฉบับนี้ครับ สุ ดท้ายนี้ ขอเรี ยนว่าอี-นิวส์จะออกทุกวันจันทร์ของแต่ละสัปดาห์ หาก โรแทเรี ยนหรื อสโมสรโรตารี ใดมีข่าวหรื อกิจกรรมใดจะประชาสัมพันธ์ ขอให้ส่งให้คณะอนุกรรมการฯภายในวันศุกร์ เพื่อให้ทนั ต่ออี-นิวส์ที่จะ ออกในวันจันทร์ของสัปดาห์ต่อไปที่ อีเมลล์: enews3350@gmail.com
2 weeks had passed very quickly. Some clubs are still in the period of Club Officers Installation Ceremonies and 1st Weekly Meeting. Once again I send my congratulations to all. A few days ago we have attended a compulsory District Rotary Foundation Seminar. We all get a better knowledge and understanding about the Rotary Foundation – about donation and Global Grant process. In addition, some clubs may have already selected to join in a Global Grant project from choices of 6 projects from 6 clubs that were presented on that day. One of the most important news in this issue of E-News is about the payment of RI Due for the first half of the term (July – December 2015) and District Levy that all Rotarians must pay within the designated date in order to maintain the club’s active status with RI. Moreover, District PR Committee has observed that some Rotarians and clubs still have some confusions about sending club news and events for PR. Hence, we would like to take this opportunity to clarify about different channels to PR in this issue of E-News for the benefits of all clubs. Lastly, to remind that the District Internal PR Subcommittee will release new issue of Rotary E-News Updates on Monday of every week. If any Rotarian or Rotary club has any news or events they would like to publicize, please inform the Subcommittee by Friday through e-mail so that they will be on time for the issue of the E-News releasing on the following Monday through e-mail: enews3350@gmail.com.

ก่อนอื่น คณะกรรมการประชาสัมพันธ์ภาค ต้องขอขอบคุณทุกๆ ท่านทุกๆสโมสรที่คอยติดตามข่าวต่างๆของคณะกรรมการฯ และ คอยส่งข่าวมาประชาสัมพันธ์ รวมถึงรู ปกิจกรรมต่างๆของแต่ละ สโมสร อย่างไรก็ตาม ทางคณะกรรมการฯเห็นว่ามีหลายท่านยังสับสนใน การส่งประชาสัมพันธ์และการส่งข่าวว่าข่าวใดควรส่งที่ใด ให้ใคร เพื่ออะไร ทั้งนี้ ทางคณะกรรมการฯมีความตั้งใจ มุ่งมัน่ และอยาก ให้ทุกๆรายการที่คณะกรรมการฯได้รับได้ออกนาเสนอถูกช่องทาง และได้ผลประโยชน์สูงสุดสาหรับทุกๆสโมสรและภาค
First of all, the District Public Relations Committee would like to thank all Rotarians and every Rotary club for your interest and follow the news published by the Committee; and send your news to be published, including pictures of successful projects. However, the Committee found that there are some confusions with regards to which news should send to whom and where, and for what purposes. Therefore, with the good intention of the District PR Committee and we would like all news and events received be most effective and beneficial for the District and all clubs.

มิตรโรแทเรียนที่รัก พวกเราในโรตารี ชอบคิดกระทาการเรื่ องใหญ่ๆ เราจะให้การยกย่องผูท้ ี่ มอบของขวัญชิ้นใหญ่ให้แก่มนุษยชาติ เช่น ท่านอับราฮัม ลินคอล์น ผูท้ ี่ ประกาศมอบคืนศักดิ์ศรี ของมนุษยชาติให้แก่ทาสที่ถูกกดขี่ คุณแม่เทเร ซา ผูย้ นื่ ความรักความเมตตาให้แก่ผทู้ ี่ถูกทอดทิง้ ท่านมหาตมะ คานธี ผู้ เปลี่ยนแปลงการต่อสู้โดยสันติอหิ งสา ให้แก่ผถู้ ูกข่มเหง ท่านเหล่านี้ได้ มอบชีวิตของท่านให้เป็ นของขวัญแก่โลกมนุษย์ เราได้รับแรงบันดาลใจจากแบบอย่างของท่านเหล่านี้ เราสามารถถาม ตนเองได้ว่าในชีวิตของเราจะสามารถกระทาการโดยไม่เลี่ยงความ รับผิดชอบที่มีคุณค่าสาหรับเราได้หรื อไม่ เราจะเป็ นของขวัญแก่ ชาวโลกได้อย่างไร เมื่อผมพิจารณาถึงคาขวัญประจาปี ของผม ผมจะ คิดถึงสิ่ งที่ผมได้เรี ยนในคาสอนศาสนาฮินดู โดยเฉพาะอย่างยิง่ เรื่ องราว ของสุ ธรรม สุ ธรรมเป็ นเด็กยากจนคนหนึ่ง เขามีเพื่อนรักชื่อกฤษณะ ซึ่งเป็ นรัช ทายาทของพระราชวงศ์ ในฐานะผูเ้ ป็ นองค์อวตาร (องค์พระเจ้าที่เกิด ใหม่) เมื่อเด็กทั้งสองคนเติบโตขึ้น ก็แยกย้ายกันไป ขณะที่กฤษณะ กลับเป็ นแม่ทพั และกษัตริ ยผ์ ยู้ งิ่ ใหญ่ แต่สุธรรมยังเป็ นชาวบ้านธรรมดา ที่ยากจนคนหนึ่ง หลายปี ผา่ นไป ฐานะของสุ ธรรมยากจนลงตามลาดับ ในที่สุด เขาก็ขาด แคลนแม้แต่อาหารสาหรับเลี้ยงดูบุตรหลานของเขา ภรรยาของสุ ธรรม จึงมาเตือนสติให้เขาคิดถึงกฤษณะ เมื่อในวัยเด็กทั้งสองมีมิตรภาพที่ดีต่อ กัน บางทีอาจถึงเวลาที่เขาจะต้องไปพบกับกษัตริ ยผ์ ยู้ งิ่ ใหญ่ เพื่อขอความ ช่วยเหลือ ซึ่งสุธรรมก็เห็นด้วยแต่ไม่ค่อยเต็มใจนัก แล้วเขามาคิดได้ว่า เขาไม่ควรไปพบเพื่อนด้วยมือเปล่า สุ ธรรมจึงรวบรวมข้าวในบ้านซึ่ง เป็ นอาหารทั้งหมดที่ครอบครัวเขามีอยูไ่ ม่กี่ทพั พี แล้วห่ อข้าวนั้นด้วยผ้า ชิ้นหนึ่ง เพื่อจะมอบเป็ นของขวัญสาหรับเพื่อน เมื่อสุ ธรรมเดินเข้าไปในพระราชวัง เขาก็ตอ้ งตื่นตาตื่นใจกับการต้อนรับ ที่ยงิ่ ใหญ่และสง่างามของพระเจ้ากฤษณะ ห่ อข้าวของขวัญของเขาที่ เตรี ยมมาอย่างดีน้ นั กลับดูเหมือนเป็ นของที่แสดงถึงความยากไร้ของเขา พระเจ้ากฤษณะเข้ามาสวมกอดสุธรรมซึ่งแอบซ่อนห่ อข้าวนั้นไว้ ด้านหลัง พระเจ้ากฤษณะจึงถามสุ ธรรมว่า เขาถืออะไรอยู่ พระเจ้ากฤษณะมิได้ทรงดูถูกของขวัญของสุ ธรรม แต่ทรงรับห่ อข้าวมา เสวยด้วยความขอบคุณ ทั้งสองได้ร่วมรับประทานอาหารด้วยกันและ สนทนากันอย่างสนุกสนาน กระทัง่ เวลาผ่านไปหลายชัว่ โมง ความ เพลิดเพลินจากมิตรภาพแต่วยั เยาว์ทาให้สุธรรมลืมคิดถึงสถานการณ์ที่ เลวร้ายของตน เมื่อถึงเวลาค่า สุธรรมจึงเดินทางกลับบ้านและมานึกได้ ว่าเขาลืมคิดถึงภารกิจของเขา ที่ตอ้ งเดินทางกลับมามือเปล่า และพระ
Dear Fellow Rotarians, We in Rotary aspire to great deeds. We admire those who gave great gifts to humanity: Abraham Lincoln, who gave the gift of human dignity to the downtrodden; Mother Teresa, who gave the gift of compassion to the forgotten; Mahatma Gandhi, who gave the gift of peaceful change to the oppressed. Their very lives became gifts to the world. We can be inspired by their example. We can be inspired to ask, how can I, in the life that I live – without neglecting the responsibilities that are so dear to me – how can I, too, become a gift to the world? As I considered my theme, I thought of the lessons I have learned through my Hindu faith. I thought especially of the story of Sudama. Sudama was a poor child and a bosom friend of Krishna, who was born in a royal lineage as an avatar – an incarnation of the divine. As the two boys grow up, they drift apart, and while Krishna becomes a military leader and king of great repute, Sudama remains a humble villager. The years go by and Sudama’s poverty deepens. Finally, he lacks even food to feed his children. His wife reminds him of his childhood friendship with Krishna: Perhaps it is time to go to the mighty ruler for help. Reluctantly, Sudama agrees, but resolves that he will not go empty-handed. He gathers together a few handfuls of rice – all the food his family has left – and wraps them in a piece of cloth as a gift for his friend. When Sudama enters the palace, he is overwhelmed by the grandeur and by Krishna’s gracious welcome. His meager gift, so carefully prepared, seems a humiliating reminder of his poverty. Krishna embraces Sudama, who hides the hand holding the rice behind his back. Krishna asks what he is holding. Far from being disdainful, Krishna accepts the rice with gratitude and consumes it with joy as the two sit and talk together. Hours pass, during which the pleasures of their rekindled friendship push all thoughts of his desperate plight from Sudama’s mind. When evening 3

falls, Sudama sets out for home – and only then realizes that he has neglected his task. He is returning with nothing, and Krishna has eaten his family’s last grains of rice. Sudama steels himself to return to his hungry children. But standing before his gate, as dawn begins to break, he sees that the hut he left yesterday has become a stately home, and waiting to greet him is his own family: well-dressed, and well-fed by the baskets of food that appeared in their kitchen as Krishna ate each grain of Sudama’s rice. Krishna understood what Sudama had brought him: everything he had to give. In return, Krishna gave him everything he needed. It is never the material value of a gift that matters – it is the love that comes with it. Just as Sudama’s gift to Krishna became a gift to Sudama, what we give through Rotary becomes a gift to us. And we all have a choice: whether to keep our gifts to ourselves or give them to others, and Be a Gift to the World. We have only one chance at our lives. And we will have only one chance at this new Rotary year. This is our time. Let us grasp it. Let us Be a Gift to the World.

Payment for RI Due and District Levy RI Dues The payment should be made immediately after receiving Club Invoice for 1st half of the term (July – December 2015) from RI. Club President, Secretary, Treasurer and Executive Secretary can access into My Rotary to acquire Club Invoice information, and the payment can be made by either of the following ways: 1. Pay by credit card online through website: www.rotary.org in My Rotary. 2. Pay by cash/cheque/draft through Fiscal Agent at Rotary Centre. * RI Exchange rate starting from 1 July 2015 is at THB 34 = USD 1. ** Any Rotary club that fails to submit their dues within October 2015 will automatically be terminated by RI.

Rotary – What you need to know about the 2015-16 Presidential Citation Each year the RI president offers a Presidential Citation program to encourage Rotary clubs to achieve specific goals that advance Rotary’s strategic priorities. President Ravindran’s Presidential Citation brochure describes the goals clubs must achieve in order to earn a citation in 2015-16. We hope that your clubs will challenge themselves by actively working towards these goals.

In the past, clubs have been asked to report their accomplishments to their district governors, who in turn would report to RI. However, with new and improved online tools, we have enhanced our capacity to gather and analyze data. President Ravindran has set Presidential Citation goals that are completely verifiable by RI’s data. This means that clubs no longer need to submit forms to their district governor and the district

All goals must be achieved and reflected in RI’s data by 1 April 2016. Any discrepancies found in RI’s data should be brought to our attention immediately for resolution before this deadline. Tracking performance at the club level We are pleased to announce that club presidents can now sign in to Rotary.org and access a report to track their progress towards each of the Presidential Citation goals for 2015-16. This report indicates which goals their club has achieved and which goals they have not yet achieved, highlighting the goals they need to focus on in order to earn a citation. The report will be updated daily so club presidents can track their progress throughout the year. The deadline to accomplish goals and have them recorded in RI’s database is 1 April 2016.

Club officers can access this report by signing in to Rotary.org and going to Manage > Reports > Club Administration. Some of the goals in the 2015-16 Presidential Citation are tracked in Rotary Club Central; these are clearly noted in the Presidential Citation brochure. It is the club president’s responsibility to ensure that achievement of these particular goals is recorded in Rotary Club Central before the final deadline of 1 April 2016.

Please note: club membership data as of 1 July will not be available in Rotary’s database until the end of August. As a result, the Membership Development and Retention goals will not be trackable in the Presidential Citation reports until September. Tracking club performance at the district and regional levels District officers and regional leaders can access districtlevel summary reports showing which clubs in the district are on track to meet the citation goals and which are not. In addition, the report includes a dropdown menu that will allow you to view the detailed report for any club in the district. Achievements for Rotaract clubs will be recorded automatically as the goals are accomplished. Rotaract club leaders will not be able to track their progress toward fulfilling the Presidential Citation activities online. However Rotaract club sponsors, district leaders, and regional coordinators can access an online report tracking their Rotaract clubs’ progress. These reports are also accessible on Rotary.org in the Club and District Administration section.

As Rotary is not yet able to verify all goal accomplishments for Interact clubs, Interact club presidents must report their accomplishments to their sponsor Rotary club president no later than 1 April 2016. The sponsor Rotary club presidents will be responsible for reporting the names of any qualifying Interact clubs by signing in to Rotary.org and using a special Interact club citation reporting module to report the names of all qualifying clubs by 15 April 2016. We will contact all sponsor Rotary club presidents with instructions on how to access this reporting module early in 2016.

เรี ยน มวลมิตรโรแทเรี ยนทุกท่าน ด้วยโรตารี ภาค 3350 ปี 2558-59 ได้เล็งเห็นความ สาคัญของ My Rotary ที่มีความจาเป็ นมากขึ้ น จึ งขอแนะนาทีมผูเ้ ชี่ยวชาญ / ผูส้ อน My Rotary ที่มีหน้าที่ให้คาแนะนา ความช่วยเหลือ สอน และบรรยายเรื่ อง My Rotary โดยทุกสโมสรจะมีผเู้ ชี่ยวชาญคอย ช่วยเหลือ ตามรายชื่อด้านล่างนี้ หากท่านมีขอ้ สงสัย ต้องการความช่วยเหลือ หรื อต้องการให้ผเู้ ชียว ชาญไปบรรยายที่สโมสร สามารถติดต่อทีม My Rotary ได้ทุก ช่องทาง คณะ My Rotary ภาค 3350 ปี 2558-59 หวังเป็ นอย่างยิ่งว่าจะ สามารถให้การสนับสนุนทุกสโมสรให้บรรลุเป้ าหมายในการใช้ งาน My Rotary ได้อย่างสุดความสามารถ
Dear fellow Rotarians District 3350 is concerned of the importance of My Rotary that has increasingly become more significant. Therefore, I would like to introduce you specialists and trainers from My Rotary Team who have a duty of providing suggestions, supports and train on the topic of My Rotary. Each trainer is given a list of clubs to assist according to the documents below. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact District 3350 My Rotary Team 2015-16. The District My Rotary Team hopes that we will be able to assist every Rotary clubs to be able to use the most of My Rotary.

President must call the meeting to order and open on time. (The President must stand while performing his or her duties, with half-size podium on the table, so the image looks good and smart.) 9. Meeting Itinerary
The President and the secretary should prepare a rundown program for the meeting; and the President should run the meeting according to the program. 10. Guest Speaker
Club Program Subcommittee Chair should invite guest speakers to the weekly meetings, and inform them of the exact time. Should invite them before the meeting time so that they can eat before speaking. 11. Introducing the Guest Speaker
The Rotarian who introduces the Guest Speaker should read his or her Biography beforehand and practice to make sure the clarity and smoothness. If the detail is very long, should summarize by selecting the main and important information. 12. Thanking the Guest Speaker
The Rotarian performing this task should praise and ask club members to thank the guest speaker for sacrificing their valuable time to be here giving us knowledge (should not say “thank you in a Rotary way”). 13. Souvenirs
Should present a Certificate of Appreciation and/or other tokens (if any). 14. Adjournment
The President summarizes and bang the gong or bell to close the meeting 15. Photo Session
Should take group photo before departure. 16. Sending of Speaker and other Guests
SAA and members help each other to sending off the Speaker and other guests warmly and create 22
