ave you noticed that the more you have to do, the faster time go by. Well this was one of those months. First I would like to apologise for this issue being so late. I had some PC problems and lost about a week and a half worth of work time. But it is done at last. I am glad to say that at last it seems like our competition would be up and running by late the second week of this month. Keep your eyes on our Facebook page for the announcement when it will be ready. The comp will be in two categories, one side for the sound guys and the other for those not interested in sound equipment. I ďŹ rst saw our cover car at Cars in the Park a while ago, and was eager to do a feature on the car, but could not get hold of the owner at that stage. As luck would have it, our new sales executive told me about his cousin's Honda, and would know, it was this car. So we immediately arranged for a date and time to do the shoot. Also in this issue we feature the BMW of Matthew vd Merwe. This is one clean and neat example of what a E30 should look like. Not too much was done on the outside of the car, as it should be with these models, just enough to catch your eye. Read our feature to see what makes this boxer stand out from the crowd. We also have a double feature of father and son combo competing in Sound Quality with their Opel pickups. Whenever you have the chance to take a listen to these systems, please do yourself that favour and do so. I know that audiophile type of systems is not everyone's cup of tea, most would like more bass, but these two are good examples of top end system. On the racing scene we covered the second round of National drag racing at Tarlton, and a club/regional event at Nitro raceway. I hope you enjoy this issue. As time goes by ant we grow, we will have more features and technicals, at this stage of the game there is just not enough time in a month to cover more. Don't forget that you can download our issues in PDF format at a ridiculous cast of ZAR12. Hope you all have a super month and keep safe.

James Douglas was the fastest two wheel drive car for the day, taking 6B with a blistering 10.99

he 28th of April saw the second round of the National drag championship held at Tarlton International Raceway. It was a clear sunny day, but that winter was on its way was evident as it was not that hot, perfect day for racing. And all we have to do is look at the times the guys were running and you will agree. Early in the day Henk Bannink in his "Monsta" APR tuned RS4 ran a personal best of 11.99s, unfortunately he broke a CV and was out for the day. (later the week at the Street2Strip event Henk ran a 11.866 @ 188.87km/h, making this the fastest B7 RS4 in the Southern Hemisphere) These times were done on street tyres and normal pump fuel. Henk now has his eyes set on becoming the fastest RS4 in this class in the world, to do this he has to better the current record of 11.2s Good luck with this Henk, I am sure you will reach this goal. Jan Botha pitched up with his stunningly looking Mk1 Escort running a turbo charged Mazda FE3. This car runs even better than it looks with a best time of 8.8s @ 251.8km/h. Bennie Havenga in his Insane Racing 1400 Nissan ran a personal best of 10.66 @ 212 km/h. This run was actually during the elimination rounds and he was set against the very
