Safety Tips for Fall Boasters Although there are many more boating accidents in the summer season, boaters involved in accidents during the fall months have a higher risk of the accident being fatal. The following are a few tips to make the fall boating season as safe as possible.

Labor Day Health and Safety Tips: Healthy Vacationing Labor day is quickly approaching. During this holiday, many people vacation, travel and enjoy Summer fun. Here are some Labor day health and safety tips. Have a safe and happy Labor day by remembering these tips! Healthy vacationing to you! Celebrate smartly! Slow it down. Yes, you may be in a hurry to reach the beach, the vacation spot, the hotel, motel or a family's home for the Labor day holiday. Do not speed. While driving, be cautious of other less observant vacation highway travelers. Your being aware may save you and your family's lives. Observe the speed limit and stay within it. It not only
saves lives, it may save you from getting a speeding ticket. No one wants that. Doing this will ensure that you arrive safely and happily at your destination. Slow down! If you are planning on attending a Labor day party and you will be drinking alcoholic beverages, please designate a sober, non drinking driver to get you back home safely. If this is not possible, make plans to stay overnight at where you will be. Exercise Labor day safety! Party safely! You want to be alive to celebrate the next Labor day It is hot. Have a cell phone handy, also, in case you need to help. That is practicing Labor day safety! Check out all of these important things before you leave the dock or shore. They could save lives. You can have a wonderful and fun Labor day while being safe. Observe your surroundings and always keep kids safely protected by sober adults that can act quickly in an emergency. Welcoming New Rec Staff
The Recreation Staff is proud to announce Mr. Kyle Thomas as the New Athletic Supervisor. Kyle is a graduate from Illinois State University with a degree in Recreation and Park Administration. He has been an intern at the Buffalo Grove Park District and here at the Hanover Park Park District. Kyle lives in Hoffman Estates. Please stop by the Athletic Supervisor’s office by the gym to welcome him.
Looking for amigos to help with the Fiesta!! Volunteers will receive food and drink tickets for the event. Volunteers hours are 5—10:30pm . You can also help with set-up in the morning. This event counts towards the Volunteer Incentive Program.
