THE FABULOUS GLAM NIGHT OF THE CHANDELIER’S GRAND OPENING AT SHERATON HUA HIN RESORT & SPA The 200 Million Baht new convention hall of the Sheraton Hua Hin Resort & Spa “The Chandelier” held its Grand Opening Celebration on Saturday, 8 November 2014. The Grand Opening marked the first occasion the public was able to tour this new venue and view its many unique features.

French Evening at Le Bistro Le Bistro is located in a beautiful building on Petckasem Road, it is difficult to miss it. The interior design is modern and cosy with scenic posters from France. Every item is very carefully selected and Sandra, the Manager of the Restaurant, is always busy be sure that you don’t miss out on anything. There are outdoor tables for those who prefer more privacy and romance as an option! Every Wednesday evening Le Bistro offers the best deal you can find in town. Free flow wine, a French buffet for starters, 3 options of main courses and a dessert all at a very attractive price! For what else you could ask? The new Chef created a buffet with delicious French delicate flavours you can only find here, in Le Bistro. My favorite was “snails in pastry”, “veggie quiche”, “cheese puff” and “black pudding in puff pastry”. All of the dishes are very carefully presented as in all fine dining restaurants! Da Mario Authentic Italian Food!

I was walking by my old neighborhood where there are so many things I miss. One of these is Christian’s food. He told me he has changed his menu so I didn’t let the chance go by and went to try his food. Italians are famous for their big portions and their delicious tasty food. So is this restaurant. We started with a cold Italian beer, Viola, just imported to Thailand and served in a white wine glass and some Sicilian bread; impressive to see and really tasty. For starters we had fish Carpaccio , fine slices of white fish served with parmesan, fresh onion , olive oil and lemon. Fresh and tasty exactly as it has to be. Second dish: Homemade Pappardelle with Rabbit sauce and parmesan! Delicious is all I can say! Third dish: Duck Breast with pineapple, honey and onions. Tender duck breast cooked to perfection, with sweet and sour sauce. If you want to try something different this is the dish! Refreshing Dessert: Carpaccio Pineapple with mint and lemon ice cream. You could easy see the skills in slicing the pineapple. This was the first time I tried something like this, a very clever combination of flavours that work perfect together. Lobster Thermidor

Fresh @ Live lobster thermidor with oyster mushroom

“This stunning lobster dish is surprisingly simple to make. Lobster shells are stuffed with cooked lobster in a creamy white wine sauce, then topped with Parmesan cheese and broiled until golden.” Ingredients -

1 medium (1 1/2 pound) cooked lobster 2 tablespoons butter 1 shallot, finely chopped 1 3/8 cups fresh fish stock 1/4 cup white wine 1/4 cup double cream 1/2 teaspoon hot English mustard 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley Salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste 1/4 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese Check All Add to Shopping List

Directions Cut the lobster in half lengthwise, and remove the meat from the claws and tail. Leave to one side. Remove any meat from the head and set aside. Cut the meat up into pieces and place back into the shell. Melt the butter in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the shallot; cook and stir until tender. Mix in the fish stock, white wine and double cream. Bring to a boil, and cook until reduced by half. Mix in the mustard, lemon juice, parsley, salt and pepper. Preheat your oven’s broiler. Place the lobster halves on a broiling pan or baking sheet, and spoon the sauce over the lobster meat in the shell. Sprinkle Parmesan cheese over the top. Broil for 3 to 4 minutes, just until golden brown. Serve immediately.

Esaan Full Moon Loy Krathong Festival

at Banyan The Resort, Hua Hin Mr. Bruce Hancock, Director of Banyan Thailand, Hua Hin, presented prizes and awards to the Miss Noppamas Contest winners during the Esaan Full Moon Loy Krathong Festival at the splash pool bar at Banyan The Resort, Hua Hin. The contestants were representatives from every department in the resort, both male and female. Miss Noppamas was Khun Sitchai Choomuang from Food & Beverage Department, the first runner-up was Khun Phornsawan Kamvichaisak from Front Office Department and the second runner-up was Khun Nantaporn Bunyarattana from Administrative Department. The Esaan (northeast region of Thailand) cuisine was delicious with the full flavour of the north and was complimented by traditional dance performances. The costume and dance contest created a lot of excitement and laughter and generated donations for the Secondary School in Ubonratchthani. The evening was a huge success and attending by 160 guests including local government, The Woman’s Club Hua Hin and Vana nava Hua Hin’s General Manager, Mr. Mike Vigas and his family.

Friday Food and Wine Buffet at Le Bar Francais Hua Hin Le Bar Français is a stylish, air-conditioned French wine-and-cocktail bar full of ambiance right in the heart of Hua Hin located at the beginning of Poon Sook Road opposite Burger King -- many just call it “the Wine Bar” or “Joseph’s bar”. It is a superb choice for those who appreciate fine food & wines in friendly & relaxing surroundings - just slightly away from the hustle and bustle. There is an extensive choice of mouthwatering French, Italian, Thai, and Seafood dishes to choice from all at very reasonable prices. Signature dishes include: Croque Monsieur with Ham or Tuna Rillettes (baked sandwich with tempting Emmenthal cheese), Thai Red Curry Chicken with organic spices, and Smoked Duck with Truffle Oil to name but a few. These plus other culinary delights can be enjoyed accompanied by an extensive range of imported wines. Opening hours are from 12 noon until 1am, 7 days per week and “Happy Hour” is from 4 to 7pm. They are encouraging lunch-goers as well! On Friday evening an all you can eat Wine Buffet is served from 6.30 to 9pm. This includes up to five glasses of wine all for the amazing price of 799 Baht and a DJ starts just afterwards! Good wine is not available everywhere in Hua Hin by any means, but the selection at Le Bar Français is impressive!
