Hussein Zaarour is an ambitious architect and designer, holding a degree with high distinction from the American University of Beirut (AUB), ranked as the top university in the MENA region. He recently completed his master's degree with distinction at University College London (UCL), where he focused on Architectural Design. Zaarour's work covers a wide range of design approaches and exploration, including mixed-use development, urban planning projects, parametric and computational design. He seeks to design spaces and experiences that engage with various architectural branches and scales. His exploration and studies extend beyond the limits of the building, addressing the endless opportunities that merging the poetic with the technical can bring. In collaboration with 'An Open Studio,' he helped design and launch the 'EMERGE' platform and map Beirut's urban fabric's layers following the Beirut explosion, which was showcased at the 2021 Venice Biennale. Some of his personal works and projects have also been exhibited in Belgium's MACS and Geneva's Mudac, as part of the 'Beyrouth. Les Temps du Design' exhibition. Zaarour has completed several internships in Ivory Coast and Lebanon, where he gained valuable experience in conceptual design, construction processes, and model making. Aside from his architectural pursuits, he has co-authored published novels and articles, with his latest one titled 'Just Once.'
