ALL TYPES OF ACCOMMODATION

All the stages offer accommodation either along or close to the route, including everything from an elegant seaside hotel to camping grounds and simple shelters. During the main season from the middle of June to the middle of August, it is a good idea to book ahead. Look for specific accommodation options at the local websites.

WORLD-CLASS ACTIVITIES

In this guide, each stage contains information on six selected places or attractions along or close to the route. You can find further information about museums, events, eateries, attractions, and outdoor activities by visiting the local websites shown for each stage. EATERIES AND SHOPPING

In most larger towns (and in many small ones), you can shop in a supermarket or similar shops, and most towns offer at least one eatery. This can be anything from a snack bar or a coffee house to a nice restaurant. Along the entire coastline you can find tasty, local ingredients and in many places along the coast you will also come across small farm shops or local farmers. It is also worth noting that many campsites feature a small grocery shop and that most hotels have a restaurant which is also open to people who are not staying at the hotel.

West Coast Cycle Route is a great cycle route all year round; however, out of the main season it is recommended to gather information on opening hours for accommodation, eateries, and attractions, as well as access to services and outdoor activities, from the relevant websites.
