A Message from the Resort Manager Dear Hyatt Grand Aspen Owners, I hope this newsletter finds you and your families well. We just completed yet another very successful winter season and welcomed many of our summer season owners. We have entered into our 11th year since opening, and I am very proud to say that the property looks as good as it did when we opened in 2005. Much of the credit goes to the Association and the Board for the continued efforts to ensure we maintain the high standards and quality that all have come to expect.
With that said, we have several projects slated to occur this year all with the intent of keeping our property looking as it should. Some of the larger projects we are looking into are: larger TVs for the living rooms, as well as the bedrooms, new bedroom carpet, new stereos for the “B” units, new drapes and the resurfacing of the pool and hot tubs. I know I speak for the entire staff when I say how very grateful we are for the opportunity to work for you and at this wonderful property. We were honored this past year with the following accolades: Trip Advisor’s “Hall of Fame,” an award which is given to those businesses that receive a rating of excellence for five straight years, and the coveted “Elite” award given by the Interval Leisure Group. We are looking forward to another great year; we hope to see all of you soon and as always please let us know if there is anything we can do for you. Best to you All, Vic

Board Update On behalf of your Board, I extend warm greetings to all our owners! It is imperative that owners and guests treat every fire alarm as though it is a real emergency, even if the source of the alarm is unknown.
Never wait in your unit to learn about or investigate the situation before descending via the stairs to the Lobby for instructions and information. While some owners and guests may find this an inconvenience, it is the safest way. The above message is the most important information in this letter and will be discussed later; however, I wanted to make sure it was not overlooked. Please accept my

AFD was clear on the fire safety issue: in case of a fire alarm, it would rather owners and guests be inconvenienced by descending to the Lobby to learn no emergency exists than remain in their units to face the consequences of a real fire emergency.

Board Update
Board Letter, continued staff as they are well trained on Hyatt Grand Aspen fire safety procedures. Updating last summer’s Newsletter, owner Al Kenney launched his Hyatt Residence Club voluntary membership website at www.abcowners.com. The website is for owners of Aspen and Beaver Creek Hyatt Residence Clubs to communicate with other owners for the purpose of finding, renting or trading time at these resorts. The Board is unable to endorse Al’s website because of liability concerns. Moreover, for privacy reasons, the Board cannot disclose owner’s confidential information, including email addresses, to third parties. I am a member of Al’s www.abcowners.com website, as I believe the president should follow any activity that may benefit some of our owners. There is great excitement around Aspen as the International Ski Federation has selected Aspen to host the 2017 Audi FIS Alpine World Cup Finals from March 15–19, 2017. This will mark the first time since 1997 that this prestigious alpine ski event, which is considered second only to the Winter Olympics, has been held outside of Europe. The men’s and women’s events will be held on Aspen Mountain, and the finish area will be staged within 200 yards of Hyatt Grand Aspen! To be sure, Hyatt Grand Aspen is proud to participate and your Board is working with City of Aspen, Aspen Skiing Company and the community to make this a successful event that showcases Aspen to the world. Please call or email me to let me know how the Board can better serve you as an owner. I look forward to hearing from you. See you in Aspen,
David Massarano, President Tel: 713.626.2800; Email: david@massaranolaw.com
