A Message from the Resort Manager I am very excited to join the team at Hyatt Windward Pointe, a Hyatt Residence Club, as the new Resort Manager. I have had the pleasure of being Resort Manager at Hyatt Pinon Pointe in Sedona, Arizona, for the past six years. My family and I are looking forward to our new adventure in Key West. I would like to take this opportunity to thank Jonathan Doepke and the team for all of their efforts during the last year to ensure that Hyatt Windward Pointe is a wonderful “home away from home” for our owners. I look forward to working with the team, the Board of Directors and all of the owners in the coming year, as we continue to enhance the overall property and service. Over the last two years, you have probably noticed the exterior and interior transformations and upgrades taking place, which bolster Windward Pointe as a premier destination. With the interior carpet, paint and artwork being updated, the units are ready for “phase two” of the
upgrades this coming year! Interior lighting, ceiling fans and chairs will round out the upgrades. We trust that you will be happy with your Hyatt Windward Pointe property and the identity, which we have sustained. As always, the landscaping of our lush oceanfront property is continually evolving and the BBQ area is functioning excellently. An upgrade we are looking forward to implementing is the keyed access to the pool and public spaces. Christian Our Front Office Supervisor, Christian Compton, was awarded our Employee of the Year for 2015. Originally from Dandridge, Tennessee, Christian started his career with Hyatt Residence Club in 2013 at The Residences on Siesta Key Beach as a Front Desk Agent. After a year, Christian was promoted as our Front Desk Supervisor. When Christian is not at work, you might find him performing at Mallory Square or Duval Street. He has been performing magic for over 10 years. His father, Scott Compton, is also a magician who sometimes performs with him. They even had their own magic shop in Gatlinburg, Tennessee! Christian also enjoys exploring the Keys with his wife, Haleigh on their days off together. His favorite aspect of working at Hyatt Windward Pointe is getting to meet a wide variety of owners from different parts of the country and world. Please congratulate Christian the next time you see him!

Sunset Celebration Sunset Celebration is a nightly arts festival at Mallory Square Dock in Key West, Florida. The participants of this Key West attraction consist of arts and crafts exhibitors, street performers, food carts, and psychics, and, of course, the thousands of tourists from around the world who visit this Key West art show. Each night, just about two hours before sunset, masses of people, both locals and tourists alike, flock to the water’s edge to experience a multicultural happening and to watch the sun sink into the Gulf of Mexico.

We encourage everyone to try one of our activities at the property. Our new yoga class has continued to receive great reviews! Likewise, we still have the marine science camp every other week. As a reminder, we have board games, puzzles, DVDs available for complimentary rental at the Front Desk from 7:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m. The Front Desk staff can also check out the grilling utensils for our gas grills. Please don’t forget to schedule your grill time by calling or stopping by the Front Desk.
• I nterior room painting and artwork replacement continues. A big thank you to our maintenance department for helping make this project seamless. •P arking lot and pool lights around the property are now upgraded to LED lights, which help save energy and extend the life of the bulbs. •E lectric car outlets/spaces are now designated with a sign. • I nterior fans are being replaced in living rooms and bedrooms with an upgraded design.
Upgrades This year has been exciting for the property! Throughout the last year we have had a lot of upgrades take place that are going to add to our property. • Armoires have been completely refurbished with granite tops. The design gives the units a nice open feel, while allowing for a larger television.
• L iving room area rug replacement to coincide with interior upgrades has been completed. •K ing mattresses have been upgrade to the Hyatt Grand Bed II. •N ightlights and scales. •W ashers and dryers have been replaced. •A larm clocks with Bluetooth capabilities. •C ornhole set. •U pgraded walkway to our fountain area.
