HYTHE RECIPE

PORN STAR MARTINI by Hemanshu Patel

As many of my friends and family know lockdown was a very busy time for the Patel family as we were trying to help the community as much as possible during the week doing food deliveries from Saltwood Stores. This meant that we only had Sunday afternoons free and thus #Sundayfunday was born. We started mastering the art of making cocktails and then wanted to take it a step further by making some of the syrups needed to take the cocktails to the next level.

Ingredients (2 cocktails) • Vanilla Vodka 50ml

• Passion fruit Juice 50ml

• Prosecco or champagne 2 shot glasses full

• Passion fruit halved

• Passion fruit liqueur 50ml

• Orange juice 50ml

• Passion fruit syrup 25ml

• Ice cubes

• Lime juice 15ml

Tools required • Cocktail shaker

• 2 shot glasses

• Hawthorne Strainer

• Strainer

• 2 Martini /coupe glasses

• Saucepan

Passion fruit syrup • 300ml Pineapple juice • 60ml Lemon Juice • 3 passion fruits • 250g sugar

Method • In a saucepan pour in the wet ingredients then add the sugar and pulp from the passion fruit and simmer on a medium heat and stir for around 20 /25 minutes leave to cool then strain into a sealable container. This can be stores in the fridge. • In a cocktail shaker add 6/8 ice cubes then add all wet ingredients apart from prosecco or champagne. Place the top on the shaker and shake approximately 1 minute. Use the Hawthorne strainer to evenly poor into both glasses • Tip poor the foam at the end to both glasses evenly. Garnish with a half cut passion fruit and serve with a shoot of prosecco or champagne on the side
