“Good food is all the sweeter when shared with good friends. Come hungry, leave happy.” Management Team
01 #welovehythelife So here we are welcoming you to our third We Love Hythe Life food festival, and we are excited as ever to be sharing a great three days with all of our visitors, new and old. Last year we saw thousands descend onto the cricket ground and the sun shone brighter that we could have expected, so fingers crossed that we’ll be blessed with the same forecast, and it’ll be sunscreen at the ready! As ever, we have some old and new new faces exhibiting with us this year, so we’ll welcome the first-timers with us, and welcome back the others! We have yet again hand picked only the very best in culinary delights for you to sample and have found bands that will be sure to get you toe-tapping! This year, we introduce our new acoustic stage, alongside the main stage, we’ll be mixing up the sounds so that there will be something for everyone. Just sit back and soak it all in!
ABOUT US
magazine advertising are invested into community projects throughout our beautiful town. The same applies with the food festival. We’re all volunteers who are crazy enough to lose all free time for the month of August! To date we have sponsored local school football kits, a local cricket club, the Salvation Army Christmas dinner for the needy and created Hythe’s first reverse advent calendar, which really showed the generosity of the people of Hythe and was an astounding success. So much so that we will be running this again this year, but we don’t want to wait until the seasons have turned and the questionable festive jumpers get pulled out of the cupboards! You can find a donation point at the Hythe Life Magazine stand! So sit back, relax and enjoy the perfect recipe for your bank holiday weekend...great friends, great food & great music, what more could anyone need?
For any of you unaware, this festival is organised and hosted by Hythe Life Magazine, a quarterly, glossy A4 which is distributed, free of charge, throughout the CT21 area. Hythe Life Magazine is a not for profit community interest company and as such, all funds generated through welovehythelife.co.uk // YEAR THREE // August 2018

The Beer Lizards
Sam Brothers
Mashville
Solar Nineties
Playing again at the festival are the Beer Lizards. The Beer Lizards are four men who are old enough to know better - but don't! We play vintage rock with a little country and a little soul added to the mix - think Creedence Clearwater Revival, think Blackberry Smoke, think about a few beers with friends. It's about good times and good music.
Sam is a massive talent - a remarkable guitarist and unique song-writer, blessed with an astonishing voice that recalls the gentle sensitivity of Nick Drake, but underscored by the screaming power and swooping range of Jeff Buckley....... And with something more, an honesty and intensity that is purely Sam Brothers. soundcloud.com/ sam-brothers
Mashville is a 4 piece band with elements of alt-country, folk, roots rock and Americana fused to create a unique sound. The band has had extensive radio play internationally and has performed widely at major festivals and events across the UK and Europe. They recently released their third album ‘Another Place’ (on vinyl) to critical acclaim.
Solar Nineties are an indie rock five-piece riding on the wave of creative energy in Margate, writing Britpop influenced material featuring melodic vocals, chiming guitars and a driving rhythm section. Solar Nineties have played at numerous venues across London and the South East, recently supporting The Libertines. Closing the show on Sunday.
