Your global team has been hired to design a two-story flood-safe house in India. Flooding is a serious problem in India. In 2013, 85,000 people in Ganjam District evacuated due to floods and 19 people in the eastern Indian states of Odisha and 21 in Andhra Pradesh were killed. However, it is very difficult to get help or to recover properties once an area is flooded. Thus the best way to protect properties and life from floods is to have a flood-safe house.

Project: Flood-safety House Design Goal: Be flood-safe even in case of the 100-year record flood. Be able to live as normal a life as possible during a flood.
The cheaper, the better. The faster you can build, the better. Be aesthetically and functionally satisfactory.
