LOCATION Perm, Russia
BACKGROUND Historically, the main axis of Perm’s development was the Kama river. It still remains an important resource for further transformation, but the difficulty is that the city is cut off from the river by a strong level drop and a railway line. In 2017, it was decided to stop the traffic on this line. This provides new opportunities for reuniting the city with the water. Most of the project steps are devoted to the principles of coastal development: the transformation of former industrial zones into bright and active urban areas.
THE OBJECTIVE Determinatiom the development priorities of the center of Perm, describe the key components of future transformation and explain how they relate to global challenges and the local context. The document includes the framework, structural and illustrative plans of the Perm city center: the characteristic areas of the new and reconstructed buildings, parks, streets and transportation hubs.
PROGRAMME Three channels of transformation: redevelopment of built-up areas, infrastructure transformation and new parks of the city center.

01 PERM CITY CENTER MASTERPLAN The key position of the concept is the formation city center 3.0 - the center of the XXI century by planning and semantic unification of the first center of the XVIII-XIX centuries by the river Egoshiha (1.0), and the Soviet center of the XX century, along the esplanade (2.0).
REDEVELOPMENT OF BUILT-UP AREAS
An integrated approach is needed, including: - development of infrastructure that improves internal connectivity; - placement of new objects-magnets; - reconstruction and development of existing valuable objects and environments; - filling the “blind zones with new activities; - attracting more citizens to live in the center.

Urban blocks Dimensions of the New Motovilikha neighborhoods are determined on the basis of convenience internal connections of the area and comfortable time of walking availability from tram stops. The bend of the main street defines organic,“Live” hackacter plan.
Secondary streets
A variety of spatial typologies of housing is one of the key features of the area.
The coastal location of the area compels to look for planning of wind protection facilities. Spill out of the draft effect allow the broken corridors leading to Kama streets.

THE HISTORIC AND CULTURAL COMPLEX IN KALININGRAD * as a part of ACD-studio team LOCATION Kaliningrad, Russia
Illustrative plan
BACKGROUND During World War II, in August 1944, Konigsberg, especially its center, hadsufferedheavy damage from British bombing attacks. Today, the historic site has lost its significance, and the city has lost its symbol. THE OBJECTIVE The main composite core of the project is a reconstruction of the Castle as a symbol of the historical and archaeological museum. Museum as priori can serve as the territory of such expression: history, captured and preserved in their collections, enters into a dialogue with the present - with the audience. Particularly intense this dialogue becomes in museums located in the immediate vicinity of the historic sites or directly on thehistorical territories. It is suggested the Museum of Archaeologybe located directly in the area of the existing archaeological excavations: it is planned for the wine cellar to be located in the basement of the west wing, and exhibition spaces be arrangedin the Convent House. A net of new columns and frames will be placed on the reinforced basement constructions to create a “shell” –a translucent structurethat protects both reconstructed and historical sites from moisture and external influences. It is suggested that examinedand analysed fragments, as well as preserved and awaiting its turn in further scientific examination parts will be placed under this “shell”. Visualisations
