i.life B is Ideal Standard’s newest addition to the i.life family.

Following in the footsteps of I.life A & S, the new i.life B range was created in collaboration with renowned Italian design studio, Palomba Serafini Associati (PS+A) and features a collection of basins, WCs and furniture – all showcasing a minimalistic and contemporary aesthetic that PS+A has also curated across Ideal Standard’s other collections.

A diverse collection i.life B has a contemporary minimalism which is softened by gentle curves and flowing lines. This design aesthetic is reflected through the range with ceramics available in a variety of sizes and options, helping this collection to be a universal solution for homeowners and developers alike. i.life B furniture is available in the seven finishes offered across i.life A & S. These include matt white, greige matt, quartz grey matt, sand beige matt, carbon grey matt, natural oak and coffee oak, offering a huge amount of flexibility for creating the ideal bathroom as furniture can be mixed and matched across the collections.

The range includes washbasins in widths of 50cm, 55cm, 60cm, a 45cm hand-rinse basin, all of which can be used with a full or semipedestal or wall mounted with bottle trap. A semi-countertop basin 55cm wide is also included.

Vanity basins are also part of the range in widths of 61cm, 81cm, 101cm and 121cm, the latter being a double bowl model. Combining with the dedicated design-led furniture gives end-users a great way to gain valuable storage and make use of limited floor space. The wall-hung vanity units are offered in a choice of heights with one or two drawer options allowing end-users to configure their storage space to suit their needs and the 120cm unit has four drawers.

Two different handle colour options are also offered, with Brushed Chrome and Black Matt helping add a touch of prestige to a room, while the soft close feature gives a feel of quiet luxury.

In addition to the basin and furniture offering, several complementary WCs, in both wall-mounted and floor-standing versions, round out i.life B. All WCs also benefit from Rimls+ flushing and a choice of wrap or slim style soft-close seats for a more premium and less disruptive experience while quick release technology makes them easy to remove if needed.

Expanding the offering

i.life B’s offering is being enhanced with three new vessel basins, 60cm and 40cm rectangular basins and a circular 40cm vessel basin, all of which will be available in a traditional gloss white.

Also being introduced into the range are new worktops and open side units, all maintaining the impressive colour palette of i.life’s wider furniture offering. The worktops will be available in widths from 60cm to 200cm, perfectly supporting the vessel basins and providing a solution for spaces of all sizes.

Open side units are 40 cm wide, available in two heights and one and two shelf options. Combining with the i.life B vanity units, they can be used adjacent to vanity basins or with worktops and vessel basins, making it simple and convenient for end users to incorporate stylish storage into their bathroom.

Products from across i.life B can also be easily combined with solutions from Ideal Standard’s i.life A and i.life S offering, letting customers mix and match products that are built to work together. They can, of course, be combined with i.life’s bathing and showering offering for cohesive styling across the entire bathroom.

Coming soon...Gloss Grey Ceramics

Further building on the collection, the next exciting addition is a new sleek gloss grey ceramic finish on selected models of i.life B. Launching in April, the stunning finish extends the collection’s considerable offering and provides an alternative colour for customers to choose from.

Gloss grey will be available in i.life B 60cm and 80cm vanity basins as well as a close coupled WC and both back to wall and wall hung WCs and bidets. This new colour integrates seamlessly with the quartz grey matt furniture finish and lets users customise their bathrooms further, following the growing popularity of grey across interior design.

Like the majority of Ideal Standard collections, the i.life B range, and entire i.life collection benefit from innovative technology, such as RimLS+ flushing which is offered on all i.life WCs. I’ve found, in the last 12 months, that showrooms are going for greens and natural finishes when it comes to furniture colours and styles. It’s a trend that seems to be really taking off for 2023. I think customers are starting to want more colour and individuality within their bathrooms, and showrooms are needing to accommodate for that. Collections such as Roca Ona, Essential Montana and VitrA Root –have a great selection of furniture colours and designs which are really modern and perfect for this years trends.

Coloured brassware is also taking off, I’m seeing a lot of brushed brass, gold and black in showrooms compared to the more traditional chrome. Again, I think it gives the customer a chance to personalise their space – switching out small things as simple as a basin mixer in a different colour can really change the entire bathroom.
