Nestlé Hires 800+ Youths in Middle East & North Africa Since January 2020 Nestlé has hired more than 810 young people under 30 years old since January 2020, and provided internships to more than 230 during the period. The announcement, made on International Youth Day 2021, comes at a time when youth unemployment rates in the Middle East and North Africa, already amongst the world’s highest at 29 percent according to the World Economic Forum, are being further exacerbated by the COVID-19 pandemic, with 87% of the region’s young people expressing concern about employment.
