Colton High student club seeks par ticipants for Vir tual Wellness Fair in March

T

he Colton High School Wellness Club will host the school’s first virtual Wellness Fair in March 2021 as part of an ongoing effort to promote the mental and physical well-being of the community’s youth. Last year’s highly successful in-person Wellness Fair was the first event of its kind in the Colton Joint Unified School District.

Wellness Club members and advisors hope to build on the momentum gained last year. Due to the virtual nature of this fair (necessitated by the COVID-19 pandemic), they expect that they can captivate an even larger audience and make the 2021 Wellness Fair a districtwide, and possibly a countywide, event.

Since the fair will be held virtually, Wellness Club members and advisors are hoping to captivate an even larger audience, possibly making the 2021 Wellness Fair a countywide event.

s COVID-19 cases across the state soar, Metrolink – Southern California’s regional passenger train service – is again stepping up efforts to keep safe and healthy its riders and employees, the essential workers keeping our communities functioning. Today, Metrolink announced the addition of new, state-of-the-art antimicrobial air filters on all its train cars to ensure the air passengers breathe throughout their journey is safe and clean. In March, Metrolink began implementing a new multifaceted health and safety program to keep riders and Metrolink employees safe during the COVID-19 pandemic. These efforts include a face-mask requirement at station platforms and aboard trains, enhanced cleaning and sanitizing measures, and partnerships with leading Metrolink, cont. on next pg.

Passenger feedback led to Metrolink doubling its hand-sanitizing stations and keeping a ready, fresh supply of masks available for riders arriving without them. Face masks are required on Metrolink platforms and trains.
