Keep your electricity flowing & business growing

Uninterrupted power supply is the goal of every power transmission and distribution company, but many problems lie in the path of achieving it. These problems can lead to unnecessary shutdowns, and can cause huge monetary and man-hour losses. To help power companies achieve highest efficiency, FLIR brings a wide range of thermal imaging cameras and T&M products.

Substation Thermal Image

FLIR’s wide range of products for predictive and preventive maintenance These products help in detecting hot spots from a safe distance, avoiding unwanted shutdowns, identifying hazardous SF6 gas leakage, monitoring high voltage electrical substations continuously from remote location, etc.

Discom Rating 2019: Signs of improvements, Gujarat again on top

Co-located events at ELECRAMA 2020

Gujarat discoms retained its top performance in the integrated ratings of the country’s discoms. All four power distribution utilities of the State topped the integrated ratings of State discoms, according to report released recently. The Seventh Annual Integrated Ratings of State Power Distribution Utilities - submitted by ICRA and CARE ratings, gave A+ grade to seven of the 41 utilities covered for analysis. Gujarat’s all four discoms received A+ grade besides two from Karnataka and one from Uttarakhand. For a large state, Uttar Pradesh, WKUHH RXW RI LWV ÀYH GLVFRPV received C+ grade, while the other two received B and B+ each.

The theme of the World Utility Summit, WUS 2020 is “Utility Next”. The electricity ecosystem is undergoing an unprecedented transformation with the proliferation of renewables, distributed generation resources and electric vehicles on one side and consumer activism and regulatory pressures on the other. Developing countries are also facing these challenges in addition to their ongoing struggle to provide universal 24 x 7 power supply The electricity ecosystem would change radically and new market entrants would emerge.

Power Updates Energy Storage System Roadmap for India 2019-32 Energy Storage System (ESS) is fast emerging as an essential part of the evolving clean energy systems of the 21st century. Energy storage represents a huge economic opportunity for India. Ambitious goals, concerted strategies, and a collaborative approach could help India meet its emission reduction targets while avoiding import dependency for battery packs and cells. This could help establish India as a hub for cutting-edge research and innovation, boost its manufacturing capabilities, create new jobs, and foster economic growth. India’s strengths in IT.

Examination of the protections normally implemented for the various applications, shows that it is always the high set or threshold over current protection which is the CT sizing factor. The exception to this rule is, however, the motors protected by fuses for which the locked rotor protection is the most restrictive. The settings of these protections need to be taken into account in order to select the Kr values for the CT. The values indicated below are for initial plant start-up functions.
