Picnic essentials for the Jubilee Weekend

I

f you’re planning to celebrate the Jubilee with a picnic or you want to get prepared for National Picnic Week (which starts on 1st July this year) here is everything you need to pack for a perfect picnic. • Something to sit on Either bring a blanket or some fold out chairs if you don’t mind carrying them and you know you’ll have the space. It doesn’t need to be anything special, just something you can all comfortably sit on.

•U tensils, plates and cups In order to save on mess, make sure to pack some utensils, plates and cups. Make sure to go for bamboo or wooden knives and forks as these can be easily recycled if you don’t want to bring your kitchen cutlery. Paper plates can also be recycled as can paper cups – or even better, bring reusable bottles or flasks, just try to avoid plastics where possible! • Ice packs or thermos Keep food safe and tasty by adding some ice packs into your bag or for those of you who want a quick cup of tea, bring a thermos.
