The Kalahari Resort — Where Water and Fun Rules. The Kalahari’s indoor theme park features more than 100,000 square feet of fun. It includes a Ferris wheel more than six stories tall, go-karts, 24 lanes of bowling and mini golf for starters. The IIAW has arranged a $10 special admission rate to the indoor theme park (a $19.95 value) for Friday. You must reserve your wristbands with the conference registration form (below). The resort’s room accommodations are spacious. Our deeply discounted room rate for a Desert or Hut Room is $149 (plus 11% sales/room tax) per night, which is nearly half off the standard summer room rate. Each Desert/Hut Room has a microwave, mini-refrigerator, coffee maker and two queen beds. The Desert Room also has a sofa sleeper. A limited number of Royal African Queen suites are also available on a first-come, first-serve basis, at a special discounted rate. The suites feature two bedrooms, two baths, sitting area, balcony, three TVs, microwave and refrigerator. This conference is a popular event. We reserve a block of rooms for our group, but we encourage you to make your reservations quickly to secure a room. View room descriptions/diagrams at www.kalahariresorts.com. Desert/Hut Rooms are available at the IIAW rate from July 11 through July 14. All rooms include admission to the waterparks (up to four people). Please don’t book your rooms with the resort’s Web site because our discount rates will not be quoted. Call the Kalahari directly at (877) 253-5466 and request “Reservations.” Be sure to identify yourself as a participant in the Midwest Young Agents Conference. Hotel check-in time is 4:00 p.m. Waterpark passes will be available at noon upon presentation of your room reservation confirmation. The Kalahari is located at the intersection of I-94 and Highway 12 in Wisconsin Dells. The hotel reservation deadline is June 11, 2012.
