The neighborhood I grew up is calleg “Area Octogonal Sul” which means south octogonal area. This neighborhood is located in south west part of Brazil’s capital, Brasília. It is formed by 7 blocks, although the original concept was 8 blocks, because of land property issues, WKH ODVW VLWH LV VWLOO HPSW\ ,Q D ZDONLQJ GLVWDQFH LW¶V SRVVLEOH WR ¿ QG shopping mall, baptist and a catholic church, private and public schools, small police station, hospital and a health center. The public transportation in this neighborhood is primarily buses and recently a bike lane is being constructed in surrounding areas as well. Basicaly, cars circulate around the building so it has the minimum interference with the common areas situated in the middle. There are playgrounds, sports court, workout equipament and other facilities that can be used by any resident.
