Eagles Can Fly 10

Megan Griffiths What did you do? I drew fan art of natsuki from a visual novel game called doki doki literature club. The background is a poem she wrote titled "eagles can fly".

How did you do it? I drew this on my iPad mini using the app pro create this piece took me 2 hours and 18 minuets to complete.

Why did you do it? Once I get into a "fandom" I usually get really into it so I make multiple fan art drawings.

Sophie Oakley What did you do? I made two pieces with prismacolor pencils on black paper.

How did you do it? For the first piece I took three green shades of prismacolor pencils, and on black paper I drew the bones of the hand. I started with a light green for the highlights, and added in darker tones and shadows with the other green pencils. For the second piece I used a silver prismacolor pencil and drew the light areas of a human skull, allowing the black paper to serve as the shadows. I filled the eye sockets and the nose cavity with a white base, and then I put various warm colors on top of it. The white base gave the colors vibrancy and made them lighter. 13

Why did you do it? This artwork was created for a project in my English literature class. We had read Frankenstein, and our prompt was to create artwork based off of the same prompt that Mary Shelley used to write Frankenstein.

Industrialized Nature 24

Greta Dubois Why did you do it? I wanted to communicate the contrast between the natural and developed worlds. To convey this, I did an urban background contrasted by a natural landscape within the wheel of the bike. I created many thumbnail studies to develop an interesting and engaging composition.

Beauty is in the Eye of the Mouth 26

Cat Salazar What did you do? I was always a fan of either drawing eyes or mouths so I took the idea of combining the two into an art piece.

How did you do it? It took about three weeks to create the whole piece.
