Some older penguins say that AIESEC Javeriana is the best leadership school to which you might belong. It is true, being a team leader of this family is a powerful experience that will challenge you, an experience to make an impact and be impacted by every person in this organization, to learn every day about your team and your own skills, to give your best to others, to be a better professional, to be a better leader and be a better agent of change. Many leadership opportunities are here and now. Do not look at these opportunities as mere positions where you can lead a team or a group of people. These leadership opportunities are more than that. They represent an opportunity for you to influence and lead what might be the most incredible positive change in the organization at local, national or global level. They represent the opportunity for you to change your community, to change behaviors, to change a generation. We want to invite you to live new experiences in your life. General Profile Team Leaders While the members of AIESEC Javeriana come from diverse backgrounds and environments, several general characteristics, skills and knowledge are expected of everyone. Intellectual and psychological Many aspects of one’s personality can effect being part of a leadership team in AIESEC Javeriana. Some of them are obvious: constant learning, systematic thinking, creativity, adaptability to change, sense of responsibility, capacity of analysis, patience, listening, and supportiveness. Society knowledge A broad knowledge of world and organizational systems, current trends and issues facing society and cultural issues are important to lead into our Local Committee. In addition, each position requires skills and knowledge in the areas of financial management and budgeting, project management, human resources management, and good understanding of English. AIESEC understanding compromise A compromise understanding of the association is required in order to execute a Team Leader position properly. An understanding of our vision, values, identity, current direction, country development, and systems is certainly something we will look for in all candidates. Others Overall, there is no perfect candidate profile; however, good candidates will possess strong competencies in the areas of social behavior, motivation, task orientation, and people management skills. The key component is balance within the individuals and within the team of individuals!

EVALUATION, NOMINATION & ELECTION PROCESS Application The application process is divided into 4 parts: 1. Your Profile: Please fill your personal data in the profile template in the application (1 page) 2. General Questionnaire: It must be answered by all candidates. The General Questionnaire is in the application as well. 3. Your 360° Competency Assessment (CA): Please fill in the Competency Assessment Tool in MyAIESEC.net and ask 5 other people you have worked with to contribute to your 360° profile. 4. Have an interview with your VP. The objective is to evaluate your organizational understanding (The AIESEC Way), the understanding about your role and the Team Leader, about the team management knowledge and the LC projection (priorities, goals,strategies). Requirements The application (profile, general questionnaire, 360° CA) should be maximum 5 pages in font size 10 points. We expect 1 PDF file only. Late applications won’t be received, no exceptions.
