WEEKEND IN TORONTO
T
here’s nothing better than spending a weekend in the big city of Toronto. This city is filled with excitement and entertainment, and there’s a good chance you’ll never go bored. The weekend I visited Toronto, there was a Buskers Festival and the city was booming and the streets were packed with performers and food vendors. After checking that out I went to Oasis rooftop patio for some drinks
and snacks. This restaurant has an upbeat atmosphere, tropical theme. Next up was the Steam Whistle Brewery tour, followed by a Toronto Blue Jays game. I took a walkthrough tour of the brewery to see exactly how the beer is produced, and received a free sample along the way. That evening, the Blue Jays were playing the Tampa Bay Rays. It was not the best game of baseball, but it was a great atmosphere in the Rogers Centre. Overall it was an exciting weekend, but it’s never long enough. We didn’t get to do all the activities we wanted, but that leaves something fun for next time.

WHATS UP FOR NEXT SUMMER?

Big changes are going to be happening next summer. If everything goes according to plan, I will be relocating to Calgary and beginning a new career. Calgary is a growing city with lots of employment opportunities. I’ve never been
out West, so I’m looking forward to exploring everything it has to offer. So far on my bucket list is: hike a mountains, tailgate a Stampeders game and check out the Stampede. So far this summer is shaping up to be one of the best.
