sustainable kingston october 2014 KINGSTON FEST Saturday, October 4th was a day of fun and games for all of the Kingston community as we hosted our fourth annual Kingston Fest. St. Lawrence College was polluted with positive energyand smiles, all day from 10am-3pm. There was something for the entire family- whether you like sports, art, or just simpley spending time with your loved ones, Kingston Fest had it. Kingston Fest celebrates everything our beautiful city has to offer, while educating our guests on ways to help make Kingston the most sustainable city in Canada. There is so much to love about Kingston- it’s important for our community to come together and showcase why.

Music was in the air all day as our musical guests kept us entertained, with perfomances by the Ukulele Society, the Celtic

Kitchen Party, and much more. There were over fifty local vendors, with games and activities for the whole family. The “Instrument Petting Zoo”, face-painting, and pickle-ball were some of the clear favourites of the day. If you were hungry, there were more than enough options to choose from. Anything from homemade perogies, to sweet chocolate treats were available. If you ever got sick of rocking out and eating, educational seminars were being held through-out the day in various class rooms, discussing things like “When the art Meets Business.”
