Engineering sustainable solutions Imtech UK and Ireland is a ÂŁ650m technical services business and part of a larger, pan-European technical services provider, Imtech NV, based in the Netherlands. Our focus is on operational excellence through the design and delivery of innovative, sustainable and resilient solutions for our clients. We do this through our expertise in a variety of sectors and by making the most of synergies between our workstreams. With the increasing pressures on our energy resources, we continually endeavour to provide low carbon solutions.

As a broad-based technical services provider we meet all our clients' needs, from consultancy and design of mechanical and electrical systems through to the installation and whole-life maintenance and management of these assets. Our capabilities allow us to deliver large-scale projects, as well as small works and repair and maintenance contracts.

Our approach

We deliver innovative sustainable solutions in a safe and cost effective manner, in the design and construction phase and throughout the life-cycle of a building. Today our client’s focus is on building performance with low energy, carbon efficient footprints. By actively seeking to work collaboratively with the whole value chain, we can become involved at the earliest point in the design process so that we add value either by working with the design team or by carrying out the design as a specialist member of the construction team. All our engineers are fully trained in all aspects of both mechanical and electrical engineering of building services. This results in truly integrated engineering. At the heart of our philosophy is an intelligent, rigorous and building-centred approach to mechanical and electrical engineering services design and delivery.

Sectors we work in We have a sector-led approach and know the particular challenges inside out. Our sectors are organised around the specific needs and capabilities required and underpinned by projects we have delivered for many private and public sector clients in the UK and overseas. Commercial

Residential

Imtech has extensive experience in the Commercial sector. We understand the complexity of these environments, whether we are installing technical solutions within a new building, replacing existing mechanical and electrical systems or managing and maintaining these assets.

Imtech’s capability in the residential sector ranges from refurbishing mechanical and electrical installations in older properties to delivering complete building infrastructure for new build developments throughout the UK and Ireland.

Education

Retail

Imtech designs, builds and maintains sustainable mechanical and electrical solutions for the educational sector. Our track record, which is worth more than ÂŁ100 million in the sector, encompasses all environments from primary to higher education.

Imtech designs, installs, refurbishes and maintains energyefficient, sustainable mechanical and electrical systems within various retail environments. We are conscious that all work we undertake, whether it be a warehouse, single store or a large mall, has to cause minimal disruption to trading.

Government and public buildings Working within tighter budgetary constraints, Imtech designs, builds and maintains major mechanical and electrical installation projects across essential public sector services, including defence, health, local governments and to low carbon specifications.

Health and social care Our work in the health and social care sector ranges from community care centres, through to highly-specialised treatment facilities. Due to the nature of this sector we are often working in and around existing occupied buildings with minimal disruption to users.

Leisure We have extensive experience in delivering mechanical and electrical installations to some of the most prominent leisure and sports facilities in the country, from prestigious stadia to five star hotels.

Manufacturing and industrial Our experience in the manufacturing and industrial sector means we are well-equipped to deal with the challenges it brings. Whether we install technical services, provide intelligent IT systems or maintain and manage their operational facilities, our clients can be assured we understand them.

Science and technology We have considerable experience in designing and building complex projects for specialist, advanced environments such as high-tech research facilities and data centres.

Transport Transport infrastructure has its own unique requirements. We make sure our clients operations work with a minimum amount of disruption, 24 hours a day, seven days a week, 365 days a year.

Utilities, Water and Energy Our capabilities range from feasibility studies and front-end consultancy through to the design and build, commissioning and optimisation. Our experience includes sustainable technical and control systems for power stations, on- and offshore wind farms and renewable energy facilities.

Imtech UK and Ireland Overview Since being established in the UK in 2003, Imtech has evolved through the acquisition and integration of seven businesses based across the UK and Ireland. Our businesses have over 100 years of valuable industry knowledge and experience between them, with each individual organisation adding its unique history and culture to the whole.

As one of the largest broad-based technical services providers, we meet our clients’ needs, from consultancy and design of mechanical and electrical systems through to the installation and whole-life maintenance and management of these assets. We have a network of regional offices across the UK and Ireland and have the capability to operate internationally.

We strive for continuous improvement. To balance short-term and long-term interests we integrate economic, environmental and social considerations into our strategic decision-making.

We strengthen our supply chain by working with those suppliers committed to mutual long-term benefit. That’s why in 2012, we introduced our Code of Sustainable Supply, an ethical and sustainability standard for our framework suppliers.
