Pulipaka B. Rao, M.D. 149 Howard Oaks Drive Macon, Georgia 31201
My Dear Friend, Allow me to express my gratitude for your invaluable support. You provided me the opportunity and distinct privilege to serve our Indian Physician Community through AAPI at several levels for more than a decade. American Association of Physicians of Indian Origin has reached an important milestone. We are celebrating the silver jubilee anniversary. It is time to reflect on the direction in which to lead our organization. • I promise to promote decisive leadership and maintain transparency & accountability in all transactions in a non partisan manner, to only benefit the organization. • In addition to cutting unproductive overhead, will endeavor to make AAPI journal and website into informative and revenue generating facilities. • I promise to make AAPI-Charitable Foundation financially stable to serve the needy in INDIA and the USA. • I promise to promote membership drive and create conditions to attract the return of member organizations to AAPI. • I promise to bring Responsibility, Accountability and Objectivity to our organization. My past experience in organized medicine and community service has prepared me to take the responsibility to lead AAPI. I humbly request your support in bringing new ideas, and leadership to our unique organization and take it to newer heights. Warmest personal regards,

Memorable event resulting in a very successful and profitable event for AAPI. Managing the convention and prompt distribution of the profits to AAPI, AAPI-CF and GAPI reiterates my commitment to diligent fiscal management in the organization. Organizing this mammoth event made me a team player and I will bring the same experience to manage AAPI in an unassuming manner.
• As Chairman of two fund raising concerts in Atlanta helped raise over $100,000 for the Charitable Foundation. • I have personally donated $30,000 for establishing ACLS labs in Osmania, Gandhi and Kakatiya Medical Colleges. • I was responsible for shaping GAPI into a sound financial and viable political organization. • As a Governing Body member, helped shape AAPI policy in a quiet and unassuming manner. • The above experiences position me to pursue similar campaigns at the national level, to benefit physicians in general and Indian medical graduates in particular.
Campaigning For Tort Reform •

Enabled me to associate with several local legislators and activists resulting in great experience to manage legislative activities. Enabled me to campaign for Physicians rights resulting in successfully blocking the paramedical personnel from acquiring the authority to prescribe medicines without Physician supervision. Active campaigning resulted in the passage of a comprehensive Tort reform bill, in Georgia, limiting exorbitant medical malpractice awards.
