user pattern + sectional variations + details + linkages

the user pattern The following diagrams is an illustration of the different kind of uses that are proposed in the greenway. The green illustrates the ecological and conserved zone in the greenway, where as the grey areas are a reflection of all the urbanised zones, which are essentially activity corridors of various nature, which would govern the typical land use pattern for the abutting urban parcels. The urbanised zones can potentially be urban parks , market places, urban plazas, thematic gardens , public/ institutinal places , neighbourhood parks, nurseries, stud farms etc.

The zones in the greenways have been derived by assigning parameters of the site and the development pattern. The parameters that have been determined are :

slope of the greenway width of the greenway relation of greenway reservoir and stream road network pattern

section at D - D

The dam along the primary network is treated as an aesthetic feature with the proposal of a terraced landscape form towards the greenway and a multi level pedestrian bridge overlooking the water reservoir. The terraced landscape subtly brings down the dominant scale of the dam and gradually merges with the greenway. The bridge on the other hand, serves the purpose of both connectivity and offering visual platform towards the reservoir.
